Meeting Santa

This weekend (yikes, only 1 week til Christmas!) we went to Cabela's to see Santa. We like to go there since the line is short and you get a free picture! Plus, they let you take your own pictures too, which is awesome. We talked a big game while in line about how great he is and how she can tell him what she wants for Christmas (which apparently is markers, good thing I stocked up!) and then get candy. She was super stoked until the girl in front of her started screaming while on Santa's lap, then she wasn't so sure, but did manage to tell him she wanted markers, give him hug and say bye. Yay! Little Ethan just sat in amazment with no expression, we couldn't get the normal big smile out of the guy! He had no idea what was going on, but was a trooper since it was WELL past nap time for him!

9 months

9 months, really, already 9 months?! I can't believe it! Ethan's personality is really starting to blossom. He is such a happy guy most of the time. His top 4 teeth are finally making their way out! He weighs in at 19lb. 5oz. and 26.75" long, 50% percentile all around. He sleeps from around 6:30pm-7:30am (which is SO awesome!) The boy LOVES his food. He mostly wants to feed himself now and is already starting to dislike taking a bottle, we go the okay to switch to sippy cup if that works better. He can crawl at what seems the speed of light and loves to be mischievious! In the last week or so he has started pulling himself up. I am not ready for a walking baby yet! We feel so blessed to have a couple of great kids.

Givin' Thanks

Happy Thanksgiving!  I have a couple posts that need to go in before this one, but I am skipping ahead anyway! It was a good ol' family holiday and having the kids playing and running around made it even more fun.  We ate way too much, scoured the ads for deals, and hit up the park to burn off the turkey!  Good times!  So, here are some pics to docment the day:

8 months

Little man is growing quick and is now 8 months! He has perfected crawling and explores everything. He still only has 2 bottom teeth, but the top ones are making their way in. We have started him on finger foods and he is loving it! One of his favorite things is watching Kylie and all she does, although now that Ethan can grab her toys from her she is not so sure about sharing with him. He is such a happy baby and continues to bring joy to our lives!

Halloween

I hope everyone had a fun Halloween! We had a blast! This year Kylie was really into the whole dressing up and getting candy extravaganza. We kicked off the holiday weekend with a trip to Boo at the Zoo. Always crowded, but always a good time. Later that night I carved pumpkins (yes, just me, everyone else abandoned ship) and we checked them out in the darkness. Kylie kept wanting to go outside to look at them all lit up. Monday we hit up the trick or treating early to make the family rounds and then headed to the church trunk or treat for a bit, then zoomed home to get little man in bed, take Ky trick or treating in the neighborhood and hand out some candy. Ky asked every morning for a few days if it was still halloween! I have a feeling that's gonna happen at Christmas too! :) So, here is a truckload of pictures to show off the fun! P.S. I gotta admit I absolutely love fall activities! Pumpkin patches, apple picking, playing in leaves, and the smell of fall are just wonderful. This year we went to an orchard in Kuna named Cabalo's with the Patterson's and my mom. It was awesome! Most of the apples had been picked over, but we managed to get 20 pounds. :) The owners and their family were on hand to explain things and were so nice and informative. After apples we loaded up on the tractor to head out to the pumpkin patch. We found a couple small ones and Kylie ran around the patch. It was such a nice warm fall day, couldn't ask for better!
