Dylan's looses a tooth...finally!!

Dylan has had a loose tooth for quite awhile! He refused to let anyone touch it, yet it was so loose, that it hurt him to eat most things. His permanent tooth had already started coming in behind the baby tooth, so it was more than ready to come out!

ImageFinally, last night, Brady and I pinned him down and Brady ripped it out! He didn't have to work that hard at it, he just twisted it and it came out! Dylan was screaming before he even touched it, and after it had been out for a few seconds, I told him to look at his dad. Brady held up his tooth to show him that it was out, and he immediately stopped crying and said, "That didn't even hurt!" Good thing he screamed so much!! :)

Dylan was happy to find money under his pillow this morning and is ready to loose more!!

Kindergarten Mother's Day Tea Party

I love that our Kindergarten teachers do this every year. They have a "Tea Party" for the moms for Mother's Day. The kids sing a few songs, the moms play a guessing game, and then we have a treat that our child brings to us. Usually a cookie, a strawberry, and some lemon water. It is a fun morning! I loved having a few minutes to share with just Dylan. Dylan drew a picture of me and answered some questions about me. All of the drawings and questionnaires were hung up on the wall, and I had to guess which one was me. :) This is what Dylan thinks about me...

ImageDylan thinks I am 66 years old, whoa buddy!! I weigh 70 pounds!! ha ha!! My favorite food is pizza, I like pizza, but probably not my favorite. My favorite color is red, true! I like to watch my family...true!! I don't like sharks, okay?!? :) And, my favorite place to be is a roller coaster place. It is always so funny to me how kids perceive things!

ImageI had a great time with my little man! He is growing so fast!! Thanks for being such a great son Dylan and making me a happy mama!! Love you buddy!!

Easter

Easter was so late this year that I was hoping for a nice warm day....didn't work so well. Still was pretty cool. Our kids were excited to wake up and find their Easter goodies. They get a basket with treats and a small surprise in it from the "Easter Bunny" and then they get a gift bag from Mom and Dad with new spring clothes and shoes.

ImageAfter church, we came home and took pictures before heading over to Grandpa Brad's and Grandma Rae's. After visiting with them and having a gazillion egg hunts, we headed up to James and Deborah's house for more egg hunts and Easter dinner with my family.

ImageMy kids all love getting a new dress or suit at Easter and showing everyone how cute they are! We had a great day with family! I hope that our children not only had fun, but also realize what the true meaning of Easter is, and are thankful for the Savior and his sacrifice for us!

Band Concert

The beginning of the school year, Lauryn's 4th grade year, she decided that she wanted to take band. Our elementary school offers band classes before school for students that are in grades 4-6. Lauryn decided she wanted to start with the flute. That is what I played in middle school, so I thought that would be a great idea. :) She had to be at school at 7:30 am Monday and Wednesday and they practiced until 8:15 am.

Lauryn has loved going to band. She doesn't even mind practicing most of the time. As all kids do, she wants a break every once in awhile, but it has not been bad. I haven't had to fight her to practice. Lauryn has done a great job. She seemed to really pick it up quickly, and has enjoyed learning! I am proud of her for making an effort and trying something new. Brady and I both love music, so we are happy that she seems to be following that!!

This is a picture of Lauryn at her Monster Concert tonight. She is turning into such a beautiful young lady that I am proud to have as my daughter!!

My Birthday Boys

Another year older! It is so hard to believe that another year has come and gone! Brady and Dylan celebrated their 36th and 6th birthdays today. They have actually been celebrating for a few days! Brady was given a couple of tickets to a Jazz game last week. To start with he thought it would be a good date night for the two of us, which it would have, but after we noticed it was so close to his and Dylan's birthday, he decided that it would be a fun birthday celebration for them. Brady got off work a little bit early, and the whole family went to dinner at one of our favorite places...Cafe Rio! After dinner, Brady and Dylan rode Trax downtown to Energy Solutions Arena and went to the Jazz game. They had a great time! Dylan loved it, even if the Jazz did lose.

Sunday night, we had a family birthday party for them at our house. Dylan and Brady chose the menu and of course had brownie sundaes for dessert. Dylan was spoiled as usual, and had a lot of fun playing with his family and cousins.

ImageToday, their actual birthday, Brady took the day off from work. Dylan went to kindergarten and was excited to take treats to his class. His teacher gave him a birthday crown and made him a balloon birthday buddy. He had a great morning and then got to spend the rest of the day with his daddy. They didn't do a whole lot, but they did play Dylan's new wii game, which was fun for both of them! I took Brady and Dylan to dinner, together they chose where to eat. We ended up at Famous Dave's. Dylan was so excited to be at dinner with just mom and dad. He ate a ton of food and was so excited that his dinner came with oreo's. It was a great night.

ImageI am so thankful for these two guys in my life!! They are two peas in a pod!!

ImageHappy Birthday to my sweetheart, Brady!! And Happy Birthday to my little man, Dylan!! I love you both!!
