2015-2016 Family Newsletter

Chad – Chad is enjoying teaching World and U.S. History to Freshman and Sophomores at the high school and is also the J.V. Tennis Coach, Sophomore Class Advisor, and Anime Club Advisor.  In September he completed his first 100 mile ultra-marathon and made a documentary about his experience. He showed the documentary in our local movie theater and had great attendance. You can watch it on youtube here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BVGa2FfZZjE. He recently signed up for his second 100-mile ultra-marathon which he will run during spring break in March. We are proud of all his hard work and how high he sets his goals! He has also been doing lots of great projects around the house and spending lots of time with the boys. They have so much fun with him!

Michelle – I have kept very busy this year!  I had Ethan in March and have been busy with 2 boys now! We feel so blessed to live in Mountain Home only a few blocks from my parents. They are a tremendous help and we have a lot of fun being close to them! I recently discovered an amazing children’s book company called Usborne Books & More and became an independent consultant for them. It has been a lot of fun and really blessed our family in so many ways! It has been very rewarding to be involved with a company that promotes literacy and gets families reading together!

Mason is 3 ½ and is such a joy to be around. We love his sense of humor! He started a co-op preschool this fall with me and 4 other moms from church and loves it and is doing really well! He LOVES firetrucks, ambulances, and police cars and spends the majority of his days “rescuing” people and responding to emergencies, especially fires. He wants to be a fireman when he grows up. He started primary at church last week and loves it – especially singing time! He is a great singer!  He also loves sports and trucks and reading stories. He is a great big brother to Ethan and a great helper to mom and dad. He also completed his first kid’s triathlon this year – he wants to be just like daddy!

Ethan is almost 10 months old now! He is crawling everywhere, walking around holding onto the furniture, and close to walking on his own. He loves to climb! He loves balls, rattles, music toys, playing the piano, and playing with Mason. He also loves to laugh and is very social and smiley. He is great at playing on his own and is usually a very happy baby.

Mason went to Skyler's dog themed birthday party and got this collar and dog ears. He pretty much wore it all day for several days. So cute!

Ethan at a basketball game. He loved it and followed the action all over the court! :)

Walked into the kitchen the other day to find Ethan like this - he got up there all by himself - and he can't even walk yet. I think we're in trouble!

Christmas 2015

We had a great Christmas this year! Cara came for the whole 2 week break! It was so good to spend so much time with her again. Mason loves it when she comes and was telling his friends for weeks that she was coming soon. We had Christmas Eve and Christmas day with Cara and my parents. We decorated gingerbread men for Santa and made a gingerbread house and the boys got new pajamas from my mom. We also watched the Nativity. Mason's favorite Christmas present was his fire truck from Cara. He loves firetrucks and seriously can't get enough. I think he has at least 4. After Christmas Grammie and Grandpa and Andrew came and we had another Christmas with them and they spent the week with us. We did lots of fun things like going out to eat, going to Boise, going bowling...Kathy and Brian and Cannon came to visit too and it was so great to see them! I love this time of year when we get to see so much family. We missed Brandt and Kristin this year!

Ethan is always moving. We can hardly ever get a still picture of him - hence the blurriness. He loves to jump, crawl, climb...and can't wait to be walking!
