HERE'S OUR BOY!

Chase Richards Baker
Born November 28, 2010
7lbs. 11oz. 19.5in.
We are so excited to welcome our little bundle of joy. Chase is such a cutie!
Kelly woke up about 3 in the morning having light contractions. By 6am she decided to wake me, telling me she had packed a bag and to get dressed! its time to go...
I fell back asleep and then was awoke again by a "are you serious?" Let's go!
She was 10 days early but decided to"will" the baby out on a Sunday morning so that the kids would be in school when she got home and she could relax...J/J. The real reason was, Kylie had just finished a soccer tournament and had another one along with Kassi the following weekend and was determined not to miss her girls play....and she didn't.

"It's the truth!"
So we got to the hospital and by 10:30ish we had the most perfect little boy you had ever seen...No really that's what everybody said it wasn't just us...:)
Chase has a bit of dark hair and a dimple his right cheek. He is one handsome fella, just like his Dad.
It's been an adjustment for all of us, its been 5 YEARS since we've had a little one but its going great!
The girls LOVE him to pieces and don't have any problem helping out or correcting each other constantly on who's doing what wrong...
All there motherly instincts have kicked in and its such a joy to see them as
"mothers in training"
Mickey O Mickey what can we say...Well it seems he's truly become a man...finally... :)
According to his brother in-laws. He has finally brought honor to his family with his MALE
off spring...
He is a very proud papa and uses the word "son" quiet often.
We are all surviving for now, check in in a couple of months and we'll see how its going then...

Kylie played in her 1st U11 tournament and there team did great! Taking 2nd place only losing by one goal for 1st. We are so proud of Kylie she has been playing goalie for a year now and has done well. We hope she'll continue to grow and develop her skills in soccer. She has also done well in school with A/B honor roll. She wrote a "D.A.R.E" (Drug abuse restriction education) essay on friendship over the winter break and got 1st place! She now will read it in front of the whole school. She was also selected by her art teacher to design and make a flag that will be flown at Tivoli, a new mall.
She also graduated from elementary school and is so excited to move on to Jr. High at Sig Rogich. She went on a 5th grade trip to San Francisco. She was able to learn some American history, camp, and site see places like Alcatraz and ride the trolleys. She then was home for two days and was off to BYU softball camp with her friend Makall. She had a great time. We are so proud of Ky and her accomplishments.
Keep going Ky!

Kassi played her first tournament with her Little Tornadoes. She also played a great game. She's been on the same coed team for a year and a half now and has done well at holding her own against the boys. In January they decided to split the team making a girls and boys. Both teams went to the Championship and won. Kassi not only scored the winning goal in the playoffs, she also was put in as goalie in a sudden death PK's shoot out in the championship game. She stopped 4 out of 5 shots on goal and her team won the game! Her coach later wrote her an email telling her how proud he was of her and what a great job she has done. She has definitely surprised us with her skill on the field.
Kassi also took Hip Hop this year and had a recital where she "got loose" and showed us her moves!
She is also a straight A student. She received "A honor roll", the" Principles award" and "Staton Stars". Way to go Kas!!!!

Kyndl started Kindergarten and graduated yeah! She is off and running to 1st grade and looking forward to eating lunch in the lunch room. She is still in ballet/tap and had a recital and did a routine to the "Witch Doctor" it was awesome! She loves to dance! Kyndl also loves to draw. She is an artist at heart and decorates her room often with all her pictures. She loves to help with Chase and helps mom with cooking and cleaning. Holidays are the best for Kyndl, she can't get enough of decorating. She's always asking to put more up. Gee i wonder where she gets that from???(Kelly)
She tried soccer out and lets just say she saw lots of planes flying over head and butterflies...
but she rocked the uniform. :)
She's definitely our free spirit.

We went to Disneyland about 15 days after Chase was born. We had a great time of course. Chase was a champ sleeping comfortably the whole time. Christmas was next and was wonderful. We spent our first Christmas in our new home and enjoyed every minute. Following Christmas was Kassi's birthday. She turned the big 8. We had a nice little family party for her the day after Christmas.(Yes, just when you thought the presents were done.) She ripped through them like Christmas never happened. She also got a bike and is loving it.

Next....

NEXT yes next was New Years. Not only New Years but also Kassi's baptism, Chases' blessing and the Baker Christmas party we hosted at our home. The baptism and blessing were beautiful, and Mickey did a great job. Kassi wore my baptism dress ( which we had to lengthen, of course) and she looked like a beautiful lovely girl. Chase looked handsome as well in his blessing outfit. (Handsome, that's a new word I need to get use to using....)
Soo... That's our crazy six months. We are definitely looking forward to a little slow time. Of Course Kylie already started soccer again so I guess our crazy little lives begin again!
