Who We Are
Mill Forge is a makerspace south of Boston with extensive facilities for woodworking, welding, laser cutting, electronics, textiles, metal work, 3D FDM and resin printing, and more. Members have access not only to all this equipment, but also other offerings, such as training and educational classes.
We operate as a Massachusetts Public Benefit Corporation and put community at the forefront. We put the interests of our members, community and societal factors above profit or unfettered growth.
Makerspace Facilities
Mill Forge comprises five main areas: CNC and 3D, Electronics, Metals and Welding, Textiles, and Woodworking. In addition to a wide array of equipment for each, we also have hand tools and prototyping supplies available.
What We Offer
Our nearly 6,000 square foot space in Norwood, Massachusetts within a 19th-century mill complex is a maker’s dream. Members have 24×7 access to a full wood shop, welding area, textile lab, CNC laser and routers, 3D printing, and more. Members can also rent storage and work bays up to 100 square feet.
Events and classes open a world of possibilities, where you can enter as a beginner, and grow into an advanced maker in your craft. We also have some open positions for careers with Mill Forge Makerspace, too.

Classes Are Starting!
Well, it took us a while. With deep gratitude to our web designer (Geena at The Content Consultant), the users at The Event Calendar’s support forum, and the to-remain-anonymous Mill Forge member who spotted some early issues, Mill Forge Makerspace is happy to announce that our event calendar is live! Upcoming events include the Providence
We Are Community
Neque egestas congue quisque egestas diam in. Semper quis lectus nulla at volutpat diam ut venenatis.
Write about the community, how you believe in innovation past and present, and how you’re here, today.
Where the innovative spirit of the past meets an inclusive and supportive maker community for the future.
Community
We are committed to innovation while preserving and passing on the tools, lessons and methods of artisan makers. We strive to support local artisans within the Norwood Commerce Center community, the Town of Norwood itself, communities in the Dedham-Westwood-Norwood-Walpole corridor, residents along the Walpole and Franklin/Forge Park MBTA lines, and the global community of makers.
Makers are a diverse group, with diverse needs. Maybe you’re a hobbyist who has run out of space for your growing interests. Maybe you’re taking a craft to the next level as a small business. Or perhaps a small shop you’re already running needs occasional access to more specialized equipment. Build that table; weld that iron sculpture; put the finishing touches on that monster cosplay costume; finally get that home automation system working. And do it with the right tools, among a supportive community, on your schedule.
