The last year!

Man this last year has been one the craziest ever. It just might remain as the craziest as well. Well since the last post we have done a lot I will help with pic and explain as I go............

This was January last year as the babies were in the Hospital. They were learning how to breath, eat and cry when they were hungry. The older boys were having a hard time with the back and forth with mommy and daddy as they went to the hospital. Grandma and Grandpa Rich, and Aunt Tasha came out to visit. It was so much fun having people out to visit.

February the babies came home and what and adjustment for everyone that was. Trayton and Tavien were excited to meet and have the babies and mommy and daddy home. they were big helpers. Daddy got to take some time off and help out with the babies. Aunt Tonya came out to help mommy with the babies after he had to go back to work.

March we had photos of the babies done. Ashley came out from Alaska to visit and help out. Easter was at the end of the month and they were excited to have an Easter egg hunt. Mommy had to adjust to life as a mom of 5 with out any help it was and adjustment but we did it. The boys helped in anyway they could and were willing.

April we went out to Utah to bless they babies and let everyone meet them. It was so nice to spend time with family. When we came home and went roller skating and went down to the temple in Seattle. The older boys just played a lot. The babies starting rolling over and were smiling a lot. 

May was a lot busier as we prepared for the move. We had some yard sales. Spent most of the playing and hanging out with friend before we left. The older 2 enjoyed the warmer weather and being able to spend more time outside. The babies started to sleep more at night which made mommy and daddy a lot happier.

June was the month we moved. Spent a week in a hotel as we waited for daddy to out process the base. Then we drove to Utah to spend time with family before we head to hawaii. We spent a week with Mommies side of the family, we went to the Zoo, played with Aunts and Uncles saw great grandparents and played hard. Then we went to Daddies side of the family we played with cousins and had lots of fun running around all over. 

July we drove back from Utah so we could leave Washington as well. We droped off mommies car and went to the seattle needle then went to the airport so we could get on the plane to leave. We got to Hawaii late and night and it was crazy trying to figure out what we were suppose to do with everyone but we did it. After we finally got settled in and we were able to get some sleep. We only had to spend a week in the hotel before we got out house. After that it was just waiting for all our house hold good to get here and mommies car. We spent time at the beach and playing with new friends.

August was the big boys birthdays we just have a small party with the family. We built a play set for the kids to play on. We were happy once we got settled with all our stuff and could get a better nights rest. We spent most of the month playing and finding new friends.

September was mommies birthday and we got to have some rain for the first time since we had come. The babies were learning how to move around and sit up. The older boys had lots of fun with their new friends and spending time at the beach.

 October was lots of fun getting photos taken of the kids the babies were all crawling by the end of the month and getting around everywhere and in to everything. The older 2 were happy to go trick or treating.

November was a a great month having thanksgiving with friends. we got to spend some time at the beach. We mostly spent the time playing with friends.

December was so much fun. Ralf joined our house for the month until Santa came. He had lots of fun with the boys. It was daddy and the babies birthday it was fun to have a party for them and eat cake. Christmas eve we spent it with cousins and had lots of food to eat. Christmas was so much fun we video chat with family and opened presents. We just spent the rest of the year playing with our new toys.

Birth of the Triplets

I will start with some back history so the whole thing will make sense when I tell you. We Trayton was little I would notice that he would pee in his face all the time and I would laugh and think it was just a boy thing. When we potty trained him I could not believe how hard it was to get him to aim right he would be sitting down and I would tell him to make sure it is aiming in the toilet he would push it down as far as he could and would still pee on the floor. Much to say our bathroom would smell like pee all the time. SO I told Matt that I think there is something wrong with how his urethra (urine hole). Matt told me it was just fine I could not let it go so I took him to the Dr they gave me a referral to a specialist. I called the only pediatric urologist in 50 miles and had to wait 2 months we went to the appointment the Dr confirmed what I had though and told us it was a simple fix that he could do in the office with some numbing cream and he would have to hold really still. He is 3 he never holds still and the numbing cream may not work all the way. I was thinking what that is horrible then he said we have another option we could do surgery put him to sleep and fix it and he would wake up nun the wiser. I said lets do the surgery so they scheduled it for the 11 of December I figured that would work great Matt could take the day off so we would do the the surgery and plus it would be his Birthday so it would be a nice day off. Well 2 days later I had my 26 week Dr appointment and they did an ultrasound to see what my cervix was looking like they had discovered that it was short and opening which means I was starting to dilate  So they gave me the steroid shot and told me that if I started to contract to come in to labor and delivery. Well I got home got the boys down for a nap and laid down myself. 30 minutes later I started to contact did everything they told me to do first and they didn't stop so I call the Dr they told me to come in. I went to labor and delivery. I was contacting every 2 min so they started an IV with magnesium to stop the contractions. The nice thing about it is it helps the babies so they don't have to many neurological problems. Well as much as that stuff sucked it didn't work so they gave me more which made me have chest pains so they had to stop it. by this time it was 8 in the morning and I had not eaten since dinner so I was starving. They let me eat and rest and my contractions died down. They decided to keep me in the hospital. After a week they were going to let me go but then Zaiden started to have a lot of heart rate decals that were really low. When I was having a ultra sound to check the babies his heart rate dropped down in to the 50's. After that they decide that I would not be going home so that they could watch him. After 4 or so days he didn't show any signs of heart rate drop. On Monday the 10 they had decided that since I had failed my first glucose test and it had been 10 day since the steroid shot that I need to retake it. They woke me up at 4 to start they checked my blood level it was low so they had me drink they drink and as I was drinking it I told the nurse that I almost threw up the first one so she got me a bucket. I was so uncomfortable after I finished and so nauseated after 20 min I threw it up so I could not do it they said they would talk to the Dr and see what they wanted me to do. The Dr came in and told me that they were not going to make me reduce it but they would still have to check my blood sugar levels I was bummed I was not a huge fan of that but what ever kept me and the babies safe I would do. The Dr decided that since it had been over a week since they had checked me she wanted to see how my cervix was doing and maybe they would talk about letting me go home on Friday  Well I was a 2 and 50% effaced. She told me that there was no way I was going home now. I woke up in the middle of the night cause of some contractions but it was not anything major and I was able to go back to sleep. Then that morning was Traytons surgery and they were going to let me have a wheel chair ride but they could not give me a pass to leave because of my history.but they new I was going upstairs to be with Matt and Trayton. We got there at 11AM like they said and then they informed us that his surgery was not going to happen until 1. At that point I was have a few contractions and they were just getting stronger and stronger but not that fast so I didn't think much of it cause it was common for me to have contractions like this through this pregnancy. At 12:30 they were getting pretty crazy so I told Matt that I think that we might be getting babies today but it might change when I eat and while Trayton was back having his surgery I would like him to take me back to my room and let me eat and maybe the contractions would stop. The nurses were surprised to see me when we came back and we told them that they just took him back and that I was hungry so I came back to eat. I ate and after 30 min they didn't die down so I called the nurse and told her that I was done eating and that I was having a lot of contractions and they were different then they have been. She asked how often they were and I told her every 10 minutes so she hooked me up to the contraction machine and they were right on every 10 minutes so she called my dr and she was there in like 5 minutes she checked me and I was 5 cm and 75% effaced. Just after that I hear someone screaming and I knew it was Matt and Trayton and Trayton was not happy. Matt walked in and it looked like he got in to a fight with 10 cats and Trayton was freaking out. I asked what was wrong and he informed me that he was not happy about having to give back the PJ's that they put him in. So he started to hit scratch bit Matt all over his face and neck. We also knew that it would happen cause he does not respond to well to the Anastasia  Then the nurses came in and started my IV so they could start Magnesium again I was soooo excited they also wanted to get it in for the babies to help them with not having neurological problems. The Dr decided to check me again so I had Matt take Trayton out of the room so they could check with out him watching and I was 6 cm and complete. She decided that we would do the C section right then. So they are still trying to get and IV in and I am trying to call someone to come and get Trayton so Matt would not miss the birth. I got a hold of someone but her husband had her car and I could not get a hold of the other person I was thinking of and they Matt showed up and I told he we were having babies so he got on his phone to call and see if her could find someone to come and get Trayton. He finally did and they are preparing me for the surgery. I will add at this point I was freaking out I have never had and any medication for my other deliveries or any type of surgery so this was a big deal for me. They started to wheel me back I gave Trayton a huge and left. Well he followed me as far as he could. I get in there and they are sitting everything up I get on the table and we wait and wait we are still waiting for about 20 min for the Dr to come. during the waiting the anesthesiologist came and talked to me about getting a spinal block and all the side effects. He told me if I had any shortness of breath to let him know I informed him that I have had shortness of breath for the last 3 months he laughed and told me that he is glad that I still have a since of humor. We finally got the announced that the Dr's were in the hospital so I got my spinal after they laid me down I was having some nausea so they gave me some medication for it. Then the Dr came in and where ready to start but Matt still was not there and I started to freak out and kept asking where he was I could see him out the door putting on his hat and shoes as he walked in they put Zaiden on his bed and started taking care of him. Then I started to cry it was a little over whelming thinking how small they where and Matt almost missed the birth. Then they put Tayla on her bed and was working on her. Then came Zander. The Male Dr peeked over the sheet and told me that they all looked really good at that point they started wheeling Zaiden out then Tayla and then Zander I asked if I could see them all before they left and they cave me a short look and left. Then the next thing I remember is my Dr's telling me that she will see me on Friday. Matt told me that I started to freak out a lot and was saying that I wanted to roll over on my side and that I could not breath so the anesthesiologist  put me out so I don't remember much. As scary as it was I am glad that they are here and it went so well.

New with Us

Well it has been a long time sense the last post. Well the boys are getting so big Trayton is talking so much now and is very vocal about what he likes and does not like. He loves to play outside in the dirt and fill his pool with dirt all the time. He diffidently loves his brother he gets very up set if some one tells him that they are taking him home or that he is their baby it is quite funny but so exciting that he is so protective of him. Tavien is growing like a weed he is so big he had been crawling for a few months I thought that he would be walking by now but I have figured out that he does not care if he walks or not he is happy crawling. He loves to play with cars and watch how things work and tries to figure it out. He loves to play outside with Trayton in the dirt if we go out with out him he will cry and cry. He is not a huge fan of the swings it scars him. Matt's job going good he is going to be moved so that he is doing what he is suppose to be doing he is really excited. Me I am doing well as is expected speaking of expecting we are pregnant again and we found out that we are having twins this time they are due in February so we will see what happens. A little scared about what it is going to be like but I guess god would not give us anything that we could not handle so it will be all good.

Update

It has been a while sience I have updated this thing. Trayton is so big and is keeping me on my toes everyday would not be him if he didnt he has adjusted to Tavien being around all the time and he is doing much better. Tavien has gotten so big he is starting to smile all the time and he is starting to find his voice and make lots of little noises. I sure do enjoy watching them grow and learn. Things kids do

Well I am going to post some of the the new things that the boys have been doing and saying.

One morning I was getting ready to put the boys in the tub. Trayton was sitting on the potty and I had Tavien on the floor in his diaper while I cleaned out the tub. Then I hear Trayton say ewwww and I look over and he was taking off Tavien's diaper and it had poo in it so he was telling me how gross it was.

Tavien smiled at me for the first time on Thursday it made me so happy that I cried.

Trayton wants to watch How to train your Dragon and Wall E all the time.

I had an appoiment for the boys on wedensday and Trayton was 32 lbs and 34 inches tall which put him in the 80th percentile for height and weight. Tavien weight 12lbs and 23 inches tall which put him in the 95th percentile for height and weight. Trayton was always in the 95th percentile when he was this age.

Delivery of Tavien

I finally have some down time to write the story of Tavien's birth. Well I was sure that he would come early like his brother did but he proved me wrong. I was in labor for a month with him we went to the hospital 3 time thinking that it was time. When I would get there they would hook me up and yes I was contracting really good every 2 to 3 min but nothing would happen. So I would get sent home. Well I had my 39 week appointment on Thursday and I was 2 cm and 80% effaced so I was for sure that I would go soon. Well Sunday morning I had noticed that I was moving from side to side a lot then it dawned on me that I might be in labor so I decided to time my pains and they were 6 min apart. It was hard for me to decide what to do cause I didn't want to go to the hospital just to be sent home again. So I got up and was just timing them and they started to get closer and a little stronger. I decided that we would need to get ready and we would go. I was in the bathroom doing my hair and I started to contract so I put one hand on the wall and one hand on my hip and started to breath. I look down and Trayton was standing in the hall doing exactly what I was doing breathing with his hand on his hip and one on the wall. It was so funny to see him do that. We packed all of our stuff in the car and I told Matt that we were going to walk around the block cause I was not going to get sent home again so we walked around the block to the neighbors house to drop off Trayton. I told Matt that we needed to get going cause they where getting stronger and closer. We got to the Hospital at about 10 am. They checked me and I was 4 cm and 85 % effaced. They decided that they would keep me so they were just waiting to get a room ready for me. Finally at about noon and me snapping at Matt to keep asking when I was going to get my room so that I could get in the tub because I have natural labor. They gave me a room and I got to get in the tub and it was nice and relaxing. I was laboring in the tub for a while and was getting very uncomfortable so I decided that I wanted to get out and be checked again so I new where I was at. It was about 1:45. The nurse checked me and I 7cm with a bulging bag. Matt informed the nurse that with Trayton when I was 7 cm they broke my water and he was out 15 min later. The nurse said that she would see where my midwife was at just in case. When the nurse left I told Matt that I was not to happy about my bag bulging cause sometimes when they break it you can contract backwards and I would not be to happy about that. The Nurse came back and said that she got a hold of the midwife and she should be there soon. When she got there I only had a little bit of my cervix left after another contraction I was fully dilated. Angie told me that the next contraction she was going to break my water. When my water was broke I had to push but they told me not to cause low and be hold I dilated backwards and was only 8 cm now. This is when I began to freak out cause they were strong and I would not breath very good. Then it would make his heart rate drop so they kept moving me all around to make it come back up. I was finally a 10 again so I could push I could not believe how hard it was this time around. I finally got his head out and his cord was around his neck so they cut it right away. Then they started yelling that he had shoulder dysplasia. Matt didn't know what to do so the nurse stepped in and grabbed my leg and they began pushing my legs back so hard and I have to say I was pushing back cause it really hurt. Then the two nurses started pushing really hard on my stomach to help him come out. Which made me scream even more cause it really hurt. Then he was out I have to say it was the best feeling of relief to have it out. I started to cry cause I new what shoulder dysplasia was and I knew that it could be really bad but all went well he started crying right away and they said that they didn't see anything major wrong with him. I was so happy they finished up with me and they gave him to me and I fell in love with him. Tavien James born August 14 at 2:55pm weighing 8lbs 9 oz and 20 inches long. We sure are happy that you are finally here these 3 weeks have been so great.

Last Month

38 weeks so ready for him to come out

Trayton turned 2 i cant believe that my baby is now 2. He got a power wheels for his birthday from us he was so excited but he is still learning how to drive it. He really likes it when some of his friends that are a little older come over and drive him around in it. He really enjoyed all of the cake that he got to eat and getting to skype with his aunt Tasha while we sang Happy Birthday.

Tavien James 8lbs 9oz 20in long

This last months has been very busy we got our keys to our new place on base July 20. We got moved in on Friday it was nice to have someone come and pack us cause I would not have been able to with being as pregnant as I was. It is nice to have a bigger place that has a yard for Trayton to go crazy outside like he always wanted to. On the 10th it was Trayton's 2nd birthday it was nice that daddy got to be home with us that day. We had a little party with some of his friends at the play zone that we go to on Monday's Wednesday's and Friday's. I liked doing it there cause I didn't have to clean that much up so we got cupcakes for all of the kids to have. Trayton didn't know what to think when everyone started singing to him. Tavien James was born Sunday August 14 at 2:55pm he was 8lbs 9oz and 20 inches.
