Weekend in Wichita

Michael, Mace, and I got to spend the weekend at Grandma and Grandpa's in Wichita. Michael and his Dad played in a charity golf tournament on Monday, so it was a good excuse to visit. This was our first trip away from home with Macy and I was really nervous, but she did great! She slept just about all the way up there and back and even slept really well at night. Thanks to Grandma and Grandpa, Michael and I also got to take an uninterrupted nap! It's amazing how exciting it is to get sleep these days.

On a side note, I got to run for the first time today! I was so excited, but good grief, I'm so out of shape. It felt good to get out and exercise though.

Here are a few pics from the past couple of weeks:

This is my new favorite picture of Macy. She has just started smiling and it's so cute. This is an outfit that my best friend from high school, Stephanie, and her family got Macy and it's adorable! Thanks Steph!

I promise that Michael is actually awake most of the time with Mace, but it seems like I only get pictures when they are sleeping!

Macy always seems to manage to pull her bow down in her eyes...

Mace has discovered her hands and it's so fun to watch her look at them:

Gotta love those big bows...

Macy and me after church - I took all my belly pics in this same spot and this is our first picture here after Mace was born.

Pretty girl...

I think this is actually Macy's first time in her bed. She's been sleeping in her pack 'n play in our room and I just can't seem to move her to her own bed yet.

Macy and Jack...and a few more pics

Michael and I were pretty worried how our Husky, Jack, would react to Macy. He has been the "baby" of the family for 2 years now and has never really been treated like a dog. The first week we were home was a little rough for Jack. He wasn't in the house much and ended up digging out of our backyard and we found him on our front porch. Well, things have gotten better and he's become quite protective of Macy. He always has to be right where she is. He also hates it when she cries. One time Michael had Mace in the living room and I was in the kitchen. When she started crying, Jack came to the kitchen and nudged my leg and went back and forth until I went to the living room to check on Macy and tell Jack she was ok. Here are a few pictures of them together:

More Macy

Here are several new pics of Macy. Things are going great. We are getting her schedule down and getting more sleep, which makes all the difference in the world! We took Mace to the doctor today to weigh her and she is finally gaining weight! She's up to 6 lbs. 13 oz. Michael and I were so happy and relieved.

This is an outfit that Macy's Mimi got her. Now I will have to say that I never thought I woud be somebody that put bows/flowers on my daughter's head that was actually bigger than her head, but I love it and Macy looked so adorable!

Macy makes the cutest faces and this is just one that she makes all the time:
