Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day! Michael celebrated his first father's day today. (Technically his third if you include Jack, who actually did get Michael a card last year.) Michael is such an amazing father and Macy is such a lucky little girl. I always knew Michael would be a great dad and it's been so fun watching him with Macy. One of my favorite things so far is watching him get Macy ready for bed. He sings and talks so sweetly to her. Michael also taught our class at church this morning and did such a good job. Mace and I were proud. :) We just wanted to wish Michael a happy father's day as well as my dad, step-dad, and Michael's dad. You all have cards coming in the mail...sorry they're late! (What else would you expect from us?) I have some pictures to post, but can't find the little cord, so those will have to wait...

Big week for Macy

Macy is now 12 weeks old and we've had some big milestones the past week. Mace has just started holding her head up on her own. She's still kind of "bobble head-like", but we're working on it. She also started sleeping in her own room. I definitely had a much harder time with the transition than Mace did. I still go in and check on her a couple of times during the night to make sure she's still breathing. (Is that a crazy new mom thing? I hope I grow out of that soon...) Macy got to go to her first camp session at Lariat Creek. Michael directs a session for 3rd and 4th graders, so we went out with him. We were just going to go visit, but we decided to go the whole time and Mace did great and loved it! Now for the big trick - Macy rolled over for the first time today! Michael and I both got to see it and we were so excited. I even got it on video. I can't believe how much she's grown and changed over the last 12 weeks. She has been such a blessing to our family. I don't know what we did without her!

Update

Ok, so we've been really busy (lazy) lately, so we haven't posted in forever. Things have been really good. Memorial Day weekend, Michael, Macy, and I went down to East Texas. We stopped in Sulphur Bluff to see my sister, brother-in-law, and niece. It was fun to watch Austin and Macy together. Austin wasn't quite sure what to do with her. Saturday we headed out to my camp, Camp Deer Run, for their 50th Anniversary. It was really good seeing everybody. After that, we went to Daingerfield to visit some family. Macy got to meet everybody at church and I know my mom was so happy to have both her granddaughters there. We had an awesome fish fry on Monday - so good and had a great time. This past weekend was a hard one. Michael lost his best friend, Matt Cooper, last August, and we went out to LCCC to scatter his ashes with his family. We sure miss him. I'll let Michael post more about that later.

Macy is growing more and more everyday and is doing great. She has been sleeping so well and goes 10 hours between her feedings at night and I still have to wake her up in the morning to eat. She is such a good baby. But don't worry...I'm sure I'll pay for that with our next child. Here are the pics to recap the last couple of weeks:

The Mullet/Tail. Poor Mace has some serious hair issues. The rest of her hair is blonde, but she has a patch on the back that's brown. It looks hilarious:

Ok, I know this picture is disgusting. This is how I found Macy in her bed last Saturday during her nap. The smell hit me in the hall when I went in to check on her. She wasn't crying or anything, but was COVERED in poop. It was so bad I had to wake Michael up from his nap to help me clean her up:
