Van Homecoming '08
Macy and I at the pep rally. Macy really liked it. I was afraid she would be scared by all the noise, but she was good.
Mace with the Vandal - she wasn't a big fan.
I got to see one of my really good friends, Steph and her daughter Presley. Steph and I had LOTS of fun together in high school. I miss her!
Presley looked so cute in her homecoming outfit:
Go Vandals!

1. I've bungee jumped twice...within an hour of each other. When we were in Vienna, I jumped with Penny and then Brookie decided she wantedto jump too, so I was more than happy to go twice!
2. I'm a little OCD about things...when I was teaching, I had a certain color pen that I used for each hour. First hour was purple, second hour was blue, third hour was green, etc. I would only use that color pen for grading papers, recording in gradebook, and taking roll. If I didn't have my pen, I couldn't grade. One time I lost my purple pen, so I spent $10 to buy an entire new set of pens. (For those that know Michael and how he is with the budget, this didn't make sense to him.)
3. One of my thumbs is shorter than the other one. It's genetic, but I don't know anybody else in my family that has it.
4. I was (and still am) a little obsessed with Steve Prefontaine. When I was in Germany, I jumped a couple of fences to get on the track that Pre ran on in the 1972 Olympics.
5. I can hardly drink coffee anymore. I used to drink at least a cup a day, but when I got pregnant with Macy, even the smell of coffee made me sick. Now I'll have a cup every once in awhile, but I don't love it like I used to.
6. I was a pre-med major until a semester before I graduated. I had shadowed some doctors and done some other things, and finally decided it wasn't for me. It kinda stunk that I had gone through all the other stuff, but at least it got me out of organic chemistry II my last semester!

Happy 1/2 Birthday Macy!
We went to the Delta Alumni Softball Game this week. As Michael said, "If they're calling me to play, you know they are desperate." We had a good time hanging out with the Byrds and Brookshires. It's still a little weird going to Delta stuff...sweet Gamma girlst just didn't do things like that! Haha! Just kidding...kinda :)
Jaylen:
The Brookshires: Melinda, Jack, and Beau. I meant to get a picture of all the kids together, but didn't.
I also saw that Ginny tagged me, so I promise to get to that sometime soon. Michael, Macy, and I are headed to Texas tomorrow so I can go to my high school homecoming! I'm super excited...I know, I know, I'm a dork!

Catching Up
I will do my best to update what else has gone on the past couple of weeks...
Macy went to her very first cross country meet in Edmond to cheer on her Bulldogs! It was SO good seeing all my girls. They did really well and placed 2nd - they missed 1st by only 3 points. I was really proud of them.
Some of my girls with Macy:
Michael and I went to the OU/Cincinnati game together. It was our first time to leave Macy :( I left her with Michael a couple of times before, but that was it. My mom and grandmother came up to watch her and did a great job. Thanks! I didn't cry...but did call home to check on her at least 8 times.
This is the conversation Michael and I had after coming home from church a couple of Sundays ago:
Me: Honey, what is wrong with your hair?!? Did you try to cut it?
Michael: Well, I was trimming my side burns and it looked like the side needed to be trimmed a little too, so I just did it.
We had a good laugh about this one. I'm sure everybody at church was wondering what was up with his hair, but I sat on his left side all morning, so didn't notice until we got home!
Here's a pic before I fixed his hair:

Labor Day Weekend
Michael, Macy, and I had a great labor day weekend. Friday we headed to Tulsa and stayed the night with our good friends, Clint and Sheridan. They have 3 precious boys and we had so much fun spending time and catching up with them.
We then headed out to Jeff and Elaine's cabin on Ft. Gibson Lake. It was really good seeing all the family. It was a nice, relaxing weekend full of great fellowship and lots of yummy food :)

On Monday, we were back in Edmond and Kody and Ginny had us over to her parents' house for a playdate between Jack, Bailey, and Midori. Jack had a blast making new friends. He also had a blast swimming in their pool! Jack has never been swimming before. We have a kiddy pool in our backyard for him to stay cool in the summer, but that's the only water he's ever been in. So, I was shocked when he bailed off into the pool and just started swimming. He LOVED it!
Jack and Midori. Jack stayed in the hot tub for awhile:

Chasing each other:
Kody and Robin with the dogs. Poor Bailey is NOT a fan of the water.
Macy also got to meet the Herndon's cat, Rookie. Macy loved Rookie, and Rookie didn't claw Macy's eyes out when she pulled her fur.
Macy all bundled up, ready for our run today...only to find out the stroller had a flat tire.

Austin's 1st Birthday and Family
Austin eating her cake. She was so funny because she would only eat with a spoon. We kept wanting her to dig in with her hands...
Birthday girl...
This has to be my favorite picture of the entire night:
Me and Mace:

ALL the girls - my sisters and niece - Jessi, Austin, Morgan, Lacey, me, and Macy:

Macy and I had lunch with one of my college roommates, Penny. We had a great time and Mace was on her best behavior. (Uhh, yeah, so we were at McAlister's...)
Macy watching her Baby Einstein video. She LOVED it!

Jaylen - how cute is she?
