Happy Birthday Michael!

We're celebrating Michael's 31st birthday today! We started off the morning by me dragging Michael out of bed (shocker, I know) and then I made pancakes and eggs for breakfast. We were planning on going to Panera, but birthday boy didn't get up in time. :) I also had a few little surprises waiting on him. Michael put me on a strict budget for his birthday, so I got him the only thing he wanted - a framed picture of our family. He wanted golf as well, so we're going to go play sometime, just didn't work out for today. I got him some Twizzlers and Sour Patch Kids and made him a card. I also picked him up a cookie cake and took it to his office. Michael wanted to eat only cookie cake for lunch, but I convinced him that wasn't such a great idea and we went out instead. It's kind of been a crazy day, but a good one. We are headed to Tulsa this afternoon for the Oklahoma Podiatry Association's spring meeting. Michael is their lobbyist and does a great job. (Morgandi, I know at least you can appreciate the podiatry stuff! :) We are staying with our friends Clint and Sheridan Vaughn and I'm SO excited to see them and their hansome little boys. Happy Birthday Michael!

This is what happens when you don't get up when I ask you to (for the 100th time)...the camera comes out!

Free Weekend? Uh, not so much...

Several weeks ago when I looked at my calendar, I was excited for May 9 and 10 because it was our only free weekend amongst the golf tournament, choir concert, graduation, reunion, camp session, half marathon, birthday party, etc, etc...So what do we do?? Pack it full of activities!! :) Here's a little how our weekend went:

We started off by deciding to have a garage sale with the Byrds. It was much overdue and our garage was full of stuff (junk) we didn't need. Becky came down on Thursday morning and helped me sort through the mess and get things set up. We had the sale all day Friday and half a day Saturday. Next, our good friends Doug and Stauder were coaching their CAC baseball boys in the state championship game in Fayetteville, AR. Gavan went down on Friday, so Michael, Mel, Brandon, and I planned to leave about 1 p.m. on Saturday. We decided to get a rental car and drop it off in Fayetteville so all of us could ride together on the way back. On the way to pick up the car, Michael, Macy, and I were in a car accident. There were 5 cars involved and we were definitely so blessed because everybody was ok and the Jeep didn't have much damage and the other 4 were pretty bad. It's so scary to see things like that unfold. I didn't see the entire thing, but Michael did. We were sitting at a red light and it's a pretty helpless feeling. Anyway, after that we packed up and headed to Arkansas. Becky stayed to watch Macy and she also packed up all the garage sale stuff while we were gone. (We were SO thankful to her for all her help and hard work this weekend. We couldn't have done it without you Becky!) We got the the stadium right before the game started and I was so nervous the entire time! CAC won 6-2 and we were so happy for the guys. It was also so fun to see our good friends. We drove back home Saturday night and got home a little before 1 a.m. and still managed to make it to early service the next morning. I had a wonderful Mother's Day! Michael and Macy took me to Outback for lunch. It's the same place we went last year and we sat in the exact same booth. (I think we've started a tradition.) Even though it was another crazy, crazy weekend, it was still a good one!

This is just a random picture of Macy. She can only have her paci when she's sleeping, so she tries to convert her toys into pacis. So resourceful!

Pseudo-Easter Pics

Ok, so I just put Macy in her Easter dress for the first time today. Before you judge...we were traveling back from Texas on Easter, then we were on our way to New Braunfels the week after that, and we had the half marathon last Sunday, so this was our first Sunday to go to church at MRCC. We had really missed seeing our small group, so it was good to see them this morning! We have plans the next 5 weekends, so the craziness is just beginning for us.

Here's little Miss Macy in her Easter dress (finally):
