Horse back riding what an experience!!!!!!!!

Saturday Matt and I went horse back riding and had a BBQ at one of the guys house he works with. It was a lot of fun. Of course I didn't get Matt up on a horse, but he had fun taking video of me. It was fun until I got thrown from the horse. Then it wasn't quite so fun. In fact, then I hurt like crazy. For some reason it isn't letting me upload my video, but I have a before and after video of me riding. I'll try to get it on here later.

Family Reunion 2011

This July we had a family reunion in WA. State. All of my siblings were there along with spouses and children, My parents, and my Aunt Karen, Uncle Scott, cousin Kevin, his wife Katie, and their Daughter Adele. On Monday we left my parents house and drove to Pacific Beach, and spent 3 days at the beach.

Gardiner Village Witchfest 2011

Mom came out to visit this week and we always do some fun stuff when she comes out. Friday night I went into Sandy and we stayed in a motel. Then Saturday we went to Gardiner Village. For some of the holidays they decorate the area, and for Halloween they put up life size witches around the village. Gardiner Village a place with a lot of different shops to go in.

Fixing up the yard and planting edible plants

This year Matt and I have decided to pull out everything that does not produce something we can eat and replace it with plants that produce fruit. Down the south side of the driveway where we had rose bushes we now have blueberry plants. We have 11 different kinds of blueberries.


In the area under the kitchen window we had two evergreen trees and a bunch of gladiolia bulbs and tulip bulbs and have replaced them with two Pixwell Gooseberry plants, and two Goji Berry plants. Goji berries have more vitamin C than oranges and are very good for you.


In the area under our bedroom window there were strawberry plants, four more evergreen trees and some more Tulips. Now we have replaced those with a golden currant bush, a cherry red currant bush, two poorman gooseberry plants, two Jostaberry plants (cross between gooseberry and currant), and a black currant bush.


I will be planting the strawberries in front of the gooseberries and goji berries; I just havn't gotten to it yet. Then on the North side of the house we planted a blackberry bush and we have some raspberry plants that Matt's grandpa planted. On the South side of the house we have 8 or 9 rhubarb plants and will be planting our Male Kiwi vine, then on the other side of the sidewalk we will plant the female Kiwi vine, and three cranberry plants. We can't wait to start getting fruit from all of these plants. The pixwells,currants, goji berries, and 7 of the blueberry plants will give us fruit this year, as well as the raspberry bushes. Be expecting yummy homemade jam from us for christmas presents:)

The New Me

Well I guess since I have already been told by two people now that they are waiting for my update I better do it. This is for you Mom and Jen.

For the longest time I have been wanting to cut my hair short, but Matt hasn't wanted me to. Well on the last day that Mom and Jen were here for our mother daughter weekend They finally got me to do it. I haven't had my hair short since my mission, but I really love it. I can't believe how much Cooler I am at work, and it is so nice only having to wear one hair net and getting all of my hair in it.

When I got home on Tues. after taking Mom and Jen to the airport, I walked into the bedroom and Matt was asleep. I shook him a little and he woke up and did a double take when he saw me. Later he told me that when he first saw me he didn't recognize me. He was thinking "Who are you, and what have you done with my wife." I don't know why I was so worried about him liking it, because he likes it a lot. I'm so glad you guys got me to do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Matt's tooth infection

On Fri. Matt was complaining that his tooth was hurting him, but he didn't do anything about it. On Sat. it was still hurting him and his cheek was starting to swell a tiny bit on the left side. Mind you he didn't get a lot of sleep Fri. night. Then yesterday it was still hurting him and he was swelling up more.
Well by this morning he was so swollen he could barely open up his eye. So he called his dentist and they got him in today at 2:30. I didn't give him much sympathy last night when he was keeping me awake with his moaning and moving around on the bed. In fact I got mad at him because he could have asked for a blessing yesterday from his grandpa and uncle, but he didn't. When I asked him why he didn't get a blessing he said it slipped his mind. I lost it then. I said "Matt, how could it have slipped your mind when you were in so much pain?" then he made a joke. I don't even remember what the joke was.
Anyway, we were at the Dentists office for 1 1/2 hours. He ended up having an infection in his bicuspit tooth. That is the tooth next to your fang tooth on the upper left side of his mouth, and the same tooth on the right side is getting bad as well. The dentist drilled up into his tooth and all of a sudden a bunch of fluid and puss came running out. He also drilled and filled a tooth on the other side of his mouth where the filling had fallen out. Mind you, that because of the infection he couldn't be given anything for the pain when the dentist was drilling away.
Matt, had a fever while there in the office and the assistant got him a wet towel to put on his forehead and in five minutes it was dry.
Now he is on ammoxicillin, and loratabs until he can get the swelling down enough that the dentist can do a root canal on both bicusbits. Now I kind of feel bad for getting mad at him last night, but not too bad.
