Hey everyone, it's been a while!
I really liked my old birthday blog post so I decided to wait a bit, build up some steam ya know
So what's new with me? I guess a few things!
Last year, actually right before my birthday I came to a harsh decision, I dropped out of Uni.
After years of paying it by myself and grinding away over books and exams while working at the same time I just couldn't do it anymore. I love learning and studying but come to think of it, I always disliked school and it's burocracy. I'm not familiar with how it is oversea but I can assume it's quit e a pickle over there too ahahahah
Even if I didnt come out with a degree in Language and Markets in hand I started the year with some cool translating opportunities :D !
EDIT: I forgot to clarify!
After highschool i did go to animation school but I must admit after some years i felt the pressure of society to get a "normal" degree, also because the animation market in Italy took some serious blows and is still a bit stagnant, I thought i could reinvent myself lol!
Turns out I really really love drawing and animating so im never second guessing myself again :)
rule number one people be confident! And if you dont believe in yourself, believe in me who believes in you!!
I helped out @Brandybuizel for the italian localization of the Oddcore trailer and right now Im working on an italian Steam game called Liv (you can try out the demo)! I gathered some newgrounds buddies to help out for voice acting and I'm in charge for the italian to english localization of dialogues and I'll be helping during VA sessions!
Another previous experience I don't think I ever mentioned is doing the italian translation of the description of World of Goo 2 on the Nintendo Switch storefront! Shoutout to Cam for hooking me up with that lolol
If you need my translation services for a game or movie shoot me a dm,we can discuss time and fares, I love to be challenged!
Onto the animation side of the blog lol
If youre a fan of my work you probably read that I worked on Zerocalcare's Netflix series, last year I reprised my role as color artist for a third season and if you missed out the announcement Due Spicci is dropping on Netflix starting from the 27th of May! It's gonna be so great :)
Since I quit Uni i decided to fully dive back into art and I managed to snag a spot working as an animator for storytime youtuber TheAmaazing! I worked on the latest Maafia video, 14:36 to 14:52 is my scene :) ! shoutout to Ryan and Wayne for vouching for me!!
I think that's mostly it, I'm still out here looking for more freelancing opportunities since rent is steep and bills are due, wish me luck!
Ill probably edit this in a second moment, I just wanted to update you guys, peace!
