Happy New Years

Me and my family want to take a min and thank each one of you for making this year so much fun. I started this blog to help me remember all the fun and maybe not so fun things we did this yr. I never thought I would meet such wonderful people. You took time out of your day to stop by and leave such sweet comments. Thanks. Now I hope you will still follow along as we embark on a new year. And hopefully the new yr will be better than the last half of this yr. Hugs to you all :)

I am crazy enough to try it again for 2010. I have had so much fun this yr. So here is my new blog I hope you will want to follow me and my family again as we head into a new year and new Decade!
I will have a little surprise for all of you that have followed me thru out this yr. I will use Random.org to pick a number from the comments on this post and tomorrow we will see who wins some little goodies.(I changed my mind its going to be Saturday that I announce the winner/s) On my new blog.I just have to finish taking down our tree. I might break it up into seperate raks. Its some stickers, cards, buttons, chalks, punches and a couple stamp sets.

Day 364

It's a very quiet day here today. Austin was gone most of the morning at his demo team practice and Im still not feeling good. Brandon's not feeling good either. Robert and the boys are really into the UFC. That is what they are watching tonight.

Day 363

Robert got his picture taken today with NBA basketball star Dominique Wilkins #21 on the Atlanta Hawks. He came into the clinic where Robert works. He has Diabetes and that is what Robert specializes in. Man it makes Robert look like a munchkin. I had dinner at my friend Janets house with Joy and Danielle. It was nice to get out even though I feel like crap.

Day 362

Each yr the boys can't wait for the Christmas Story to play 24 hrs straight on Christmas eve. Well Brandon had been wanting a Red Ryder BB gun ever since he first heard "YOU'LL SHOOT YOUR EYE OUT". Well this yr they pulled their money together and each got a gun (its the 70th anniversary gun) and have been target practicing in the back yr. It sure has kept them entertained the last couple of days.

Day 361

We finally got to see Avatar. I have to say it was visually stunning. Both the kids and I want to go live on Pandora lol. If you get the chance to go see it, I highly recommend seeing it in IMAX 3D. Austin says it the BEST MOVIE EVER!!!!!!

Day 360

I can't believe there is only 5 more day left in 2009. Robert was feeling better today. We were going to go see Avatar, but our neighbor that just moved out last week came over to pick up his cookies we made him and he just kept yacking which then made us late to see Avatar. By the time we got there the movie was sold out. We are going to go tomorrow for sure, because we got our tickets already. My friend Kelly from the cricut mb sent me the Twilight Scene it game for Christmas. Me, Brandon and Austin finally played it. I had fun. Not sure if they did, but I don't really care LOL Thanks Kelly :)

They all got goofy socks for Christmas. Since Barb asked so nicely about who's socks were whos, I thought I'd list it here....Brandon..Blue argyle, Austin..Red and Green, Dominic..BW, Kirstin..UNLV, Christopher..Pink,brown and orange.

MERRY CHRISTMAS I hope you all had a wonderful day and Santa was good to you. We slept in. Robert is sick :( We might go to see Avatar later if he is feeling better. No movie, Robert was/is too sick to go. Told him, if he still doesn't feel well tomorrow we are going without him. ;)

Day 358 Christmas Eve

Its Christmas Eve and we just got back from having dinner over at our Friends Debbie, Sarah and Steph. It was nice to get out and hang out at someone else's house. I had a really cute video I wanted to post, but can't get it to load. I will try tomorrow. But for now...... Me, Robert, Christopher, Dominic, Brandon, Austin and Anita would all like to wish you a Very Merry Christmas. I hope you are taking the time to enjoy your family and friends at this wonderful time of the yr. I hope you reflect on all the good that has come your way and look forward to all that there is to come.

Day 357

I think we are finally done baking. YEAH!!! I have the best and most creative friends ever. Carol came over today with her husband John and we exchanged gifts. After seeing what Carol made for me, I was a little embarrassed about what I made her. She made me the CUTEST Gingerbread house scrapbook to match my house. It is AWESOME. Then Leticia, who moved to Calif. sent us a gift she made. Its a Snowflake that hangs on the wall and you can add a picture to it. Its Fantastic.I almost want to start over on her gift. I just don't know where they get their ideas from. But I am glad they share them with me. Thanks so much Carol and Leticia, I love my Album and Snowflake. YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST :)

Day 356

It is a cold and windy day here, making it a great day for some more baking. I think we will be done tomorrow. I was hoping we'd be done today. My mom and I made snowballs, peanut butter cookies with hershey kisses, pineapple bars, and cheesecake squares. I am also posting my card wreath. I love receiving cards and I keep the photo ones and handmade ones in an album.
I can't believe Christmas is only 3 days away. Wow where did the time go.

Day 355

A day of baking. Austin helped make some pumpkin mini breads, my mom and I baked oatmeal raisin, chocolate chip, and peanut butter chocolate chunk cookies. More cookies to be made tomorrow.

Day 354

Last night Dominic went to see Avatar with his friends. Both him and Christopher say its an amazing movie. After the movie they went back to one of the girls house for pizza and cookie baking contest. Dominic won 1st place in most unique cookie. He made a dead snowman. LOL Guess he doesn't like snowmen as much as I do.

Day 353

On Thursday Austin tested to get his brown belt in Tae Kwon Do. He did really well. Today they had the awards and only 4 people got their next colored belt. He is only 2 belts away from getting his black belt. He should be a black belt by the time he starts HS next yr. Here is a picture of him just before he started sparring on Thurs. and a group shot of some of the kids that attended the awards ceremony/party.

Day 352

Each yr we decorate our house kind of like a gingerbread house. We normally rent a boom and go around the neighborhood helping our neighbors put up their lights. This is the first time in 6 yrs we didn't do it. The place we usually rent it from upped their prices and since things are a little different this yr we just couldn't do it. So each neighbor was on there own this yr. this is our house almost done.

Day 351

I made these with the help of my mom and the boys, for Austins Karate Christmas party on Saturday.

Today is extreme weather day at the boys HS. They were supposed to dress in scarfs, hats and gloves. Well my boys had to take it to the other extreme. Gotta love their sense of humor :)

Day 350

Ok I think its safe to post our Christmas card. Most have received it by now. Brandon photo shopped my mom into the card. It turned out exactly like I saw it in my head. That's pretty scary LOL

Day 349

My craft area is a total mess. I spent the whole day making a gift for a friend. Im still not done, but this is what is looks like when I pull everything out. Or it seems like I did. Also I am posting a Christmas wall hanging. I usually put it over my big clock. Its visible from the top and bottom of the stairs. I have been asked a couple of times now if I made the wall hanging. I can only wish I had that kind of talent. I can't even thread a needle LOL. Bought it yrs ago I think on HSN.
Outside to come in the next couple of days.

Day 348

I know you are going to get tired of my ornaments, but I have so many and like I said I need to fill the album I made.
Austin loves monkey's so last yr I bought him this sock monkey. The hawaiian ornaments are from our trip to Hawaii in 2004. My friend Michelle gave us the starfish one. The pineapple one is a freeze dried pineapple. Austin made this one with his picture in it and another one of the m&m's Chewbaca.

Day 347

Today I got to go to a wonderful SU workshop. Scot and Kira wanted to do a workshop for their loyal customers/friends at no cost to us. We could order if we wanted to, but it wasn't expected. So Thank you very much Scot and Kira. We made a really cute gift card holder, a ornament with an acetated stamped image inside, a really pretty card, a valentines gift bag and a etched plate. That was pretty fun to do. I've never done it before. I think I might go check the dollar store and see if they have any plates or anything I can etch.

Day 346

I've spent the whole day working on our Christmas cards. Last night we took the picture and this morning Robert and I went to pick up the pics and gets some cards stock to make the cards. Robert cuttlebugged and I tombowed the cards together. Now I sit here addressing them all (50+) and signing the cards. My fingers hurt, but I don't want to stop until they are all done. I was hoping to have them in the mail today, but no such luck. (cards are turned over to protect addresses). I will show what our cards look like during the week. I want to make sure the receivers get to see them first.

Day 345

here are a couple of ornaments from our tree. I bought some M&M ornaments that look like the Star Wars figures. C3PO, Princess Leia, Luke Skywalker. And we love Nightmare before Christmas, Jack Skelington. More to come in the next couple of days.

Day 344

Here is our upstairs tree. Its filled with all kinds of different ornaments. We have star wars, Harry Potter, Pokemon, Disney, Hawaii, New York, DC and so many more. I love looking at it and hate when I have to take it down. Over the next couple of days I will be taking pics of some of the ornaments. I made an album last yr and I need to fill it up so what better time than now with my POTD.

Day 343

My friend Carol wanted to drive out to the Bellagio Hotel to see the flowers in the Conservatory. They change the flowers inside for each of the seasons. I think she is going to make a scrapbook one day of all the seasons. I said sure. I took a few pics. Its so pretty in there. After school the Boys went on a 7 mile run, I wanted to ride along with them, but I knew I would be going to zumba tonight so I passed. If I did, I knew I wouldn't be able to walk tomorrow. While they were out they ran into Dominic's club track team's coach. He was offered a coaching job at our HS. I hope he takes it because that means our team has a super chance of going to state again. Our old coach got a Deans job and won't be coaching anymore:(
