MOULE WORLD is my quest to document a world that's teetering on the brink of digital doomsday and the lives of the characters living through it.

I tell its stories, ranging from humorous to serious, through multi-genre electronic music and cartoony artworks, while the characters share about their lives in it on the MOULE WORLD Mastodon Server.

At the centre of it all is the Singularity, an entity believed to reside at the deepest, darkest levels of the dark web, from which rogue malware agents called the Bugs crawl out from to weave havoc across the surface web and all Internet-connected devices, going so far as to sacrifice the planet and even reality itself to bring the Singularity to its full power.

Spearheading the resistance to them is the Cyber Threat Resistance League (CTRL), a group using their unique cyber skills to fight the Bugs in their own way, driven by a sense of urgency to save their friend Rocky and to uncover just how deep the cyber rabbit hole really goes. There are other groups, like the Gamer Legion of Hasty Foxes (GLHF), a team of elite e-sports foxes who just can't get along with each other, and the Rottnest Island Space Agency (RISA), comprising the Space Quokkas whose missions are powered by Quokkium, the world's happiest element.

I've been producing multi-genre electronic music and digital art since 2015, and came up with the name "MOULE" (pronounced "MOOL" or "MOOLY" - I don't mind which!) in August 2017. It's an alternate spelling of "mule", a hybrid work animal, symbolising my work ethic and making music that's stubbornly hybrid, refusing to stay in one genre. "MOULE" is also the word alphabetically after "MOULD" symbolising me being "outside-the-mould" and disinterested in fitting in harmful and restrictive "norms".

I choose to write "MOULE" and "MOULE WORLD" in all caps since it just looks more aesthetically pleasing to me that way. The extra "O" conveniently allows me to stick a mule's head out of it as my logo.

In December 2019, I had 110 finished tracks and thought that I'm sitting on so much music, I really needed to overcome my fears and share it.

I chose the date of January 1, 2020 to overcome my self-doubt and worries about releasing my work online, as I thought it'd be cool to start right at the start of the conveniently-timed decade. I started out on Bandcamp and my (now-deleted) Twitter account. I also released my first track 'Halcyon' on that day, so January 1, 2020 is known in MOULE WORLD lore as "Halcyon Day" or "H" for short.

In August 2020, I joined DistroKid to branch out to other services like Spotify, Apple Music, and dozens of others.

This was the year I finally gained the confidence to share my more bolder music and cartoony art styles. The animal characters from my artworks began getting their own names, personalities, and backstories, and my music began soundtracking a world I now call MOULE WORLD.

I released my first album 'Enjoy the Ride' in July which I still feel best conveys the positive energy I want my music to bring. I came up with the phrase "Enjoy the Ride" in 2020 and felt it described MOULE and MOULE WORLD so much, I named my first album and the first track on the album that, as well as making it the slogan of MOULE WORLD.

Later on, during drastic changes at Twitter, I joined the Fediverse! I started my first account on mas.to, then I bought the moule.world domain name to, over time, self-host my entire web presence under, and taught myself web-hosting and how to set up my own Mastodon server while banned from Twitter for posting about Elon Musk's jet.

In early 2023, I migrated from mas.to to mastodon.moule.world, and a few months later made my final Tweet when Twitter rebranded to X.

In mid-2023, A web page was launched on the root domain moule.world, but it simply redirected to my now-defunct Linktree at the time, with a random MOULE WORLD quote.

In late-2023, MOULE WORLD veered towards a focus on rogue technology from the dark web as its antagonists, and the Cyber Threat Resistance League (CTRL) being formed to fight it.

As X continued its downward spiral, I deleted my Twitter account, and host a publicly-available archive of my Tweets here.

2024 also saw an increased creative burst with the release of 30 tracks, 12 of which would be included in my second album, 'GLHF', soundtracking the Gamer Legion of Hasty Foxes. I chose the date of June 15th, 2024 to release it because the numbers on the GLHF Foxes' headsets are 6, 15, and 24 respectively, and because the 6th, 15th, and 24th letters of the alphabet also spell "FOX".

In the latter half of the year I became obsessed with the IndieWeb movement and slowly returned to my original goal of self-hosting everything. On October 27th, I started this quest by revamping this website from simply redirecting to my Linktree to its form you see now, and launching a (currently dormant) wiki explaining all the MOULE WORLD tracks and characters. I also launched my self-hosted Faircamp music page, music.moule.world.

I became interested in punk subcultures as I relate a lot to their rebellion against the status quo, and released a track called 'Honey Badger Energy' to encourage myself and everyone to resist oppressive attitudes, both internal and external, as well as challenging my inner perfectionist by embracing a different release promotion routine; I would no longer create HyperFollow pages and instead only focus on updating my Bandcamp and Faircamp pages.

In February 2025, I released my third album 'CTRL', soundtracking the Cyber Threat Resistance League and their quest to fight the rogue malware threats known as The Bugs, save Delgado, find Rocky, and stop The Singularity from occuring.

In the second half of the year, I deleted my Linktree seeing as all my links are now here on this website, arranged to my liking. Also during this time, I took a really long break from making new music and artworks, instead focusing on telling the story of MOULE WORLD by making subtle changes to this website, such as introducing the Halcyon Date system. At the end of the year I released 'MELT', ending my longest streak of not releasing anything.

So far I've released only one track, 'Amanda and the Trash Panda'. It looks like this year I will continue to fight internalised ableism and let my former creative prolificacy take a back seat, creating at my own pace as I'm still in a creative burnout.
