- What is the Marshall Mountain Line?
- The Marshall Mountain Line is a pilot service from Mountain Line to connect more Missoulians to the publicly owned Marshall Mountain Park. With a 16-passenger van and a bike trailer that can hold up to 16 bicycles, the Marshall Mountain Line aims to make it easier for locals and visitors to enjoy the outdoor recreation opportunities in our own backyard.
- When does the Marshall Mountain Line run?
- 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, beginning May 23, through October. (Early snow or poor road conditions may cause this schedule to change.) Shuttles depart from the Downtown Transfer Center at the top of the hour beginning at 8 a.m.
- When is the last bus back to town?
- The last shuttle back to town departs Marshall Mountain at 4:30 p.m. If more passengers are waiting for return trips than seats available, the shuttle will return for an additional trip.
- Where can I load my bike?
- Bicycles can be loaded up at the Downtown Transfer Center, Missoula College (eastbound stop), and Sha-Ron (eastbound stop), as well as new temporary stops on Mount Jumbo.
- How many people can go in the shuttle?
- The shuttle can accommodate up to 16 passengers, with up to 16 bicycles on the trailer.
- Are shuttles accessible?
- Wheelchairs and adaptive cycles are welcome on board.
- Do I have to bring a bike to use the shuttle?
- No bike required! The Marshall Mountain Line invites anyone who wants to recreate at Marshall Mountain to catch a ride up.
- Does this shuttle cost anything?
- Like all Mountain Line services, the Marshall Mountain Line is free to use.
- Can I bring my e-bike? What about my dog?
- Neither dogs nor e-bikes are allowed on Marshall Mountain.
- What else should I know?
- There is no water available on Marshall Mountain, so please be prepared with your own water bottle.
