I am dying....

so basically i haven't updated in a good while due to the fact that I am dying from multi-test-and-report-itis. I was infected with this disease when i discovered that my professors have been conspiring against me and planning everything to happen at the same time. Hopefully though, the treatment which i have prescribed myself, which consists of seclusion and minimal human interaction,will work and i will overcome this illness in about two weeks time. Prayers will be most welcome as I go through this difficult time. Love you all!

Two Decades......

So before I get to all the 'happy birthday stuff', there is a lot of other stuff I need to catch up on! So school is being crazy and I can’t tell it to stop.....nuff said. I had a circuits test two weeks ago and barely just got it back. And when I took it I totally thought I failed it but hallelujah, I got a B! And earlier I had taken a quiz in my Engineering Mechanics class and got it back, I had totally bombed it. And we have to pass these quizzes to pass the class (long story short). So, devastated, I went and talked to my professor and he was so nice! He said "well let’s have a look at it, I probably graded you too hard." so he looked at it, and I really only did one thing wrong, so he regraded it so I went from a 4/10 to a 9/10!

So my whole point in this story is the lord really helps us. Ever since my summer school class my confidence in my test taking skills has gone way down. But the lord always has confidence in me and I thank Him so much! He helped me keep my cool about my quiz and because of it everything is going to be fine! (Until next quiz...) ha!

So school is interesting but a wonderful (at times) learning experience.

So.......................... I’m 20 now...... CRAZY!

So this birthday has been pretty interesting. We went out to dinner on Wednesday (my birthday was Thursday) cuz all of us were too busy the night of my real birthday. So we had cake, not on my birthday, and all I really did on my bday was open presents! But it was still fun. My singles ward is amazing where the Bishop and his wife cook dinner for all the birthdays of that month, and by coincidence, the dinner was on my bday! So that was a fun thing to do. It was just strange cuz Thursdays are like my longest days so I really didn’t see mom and dad all that much, and I had a differential equations test the next morning so..yeah it was strange but fun.

Three Cheers for Trials.......

so..things arnt going super right now....i think that i did awful on a test, but the results have not come in. And this a no little cause of much anxiety that I am feeling, and have been feeling since Tuesday (the day of the test). And try as I might I can only smother it for a bit, but it aways comes back. and the sucky part is i soooo knew the material, but i blanked and panicked somewhat, but hey maybe the Lord will soften my prof's heart and all will be well...

and though this has been a huge trial for me, i know i will be a better person and all for it, and im so excited for conference, cuz it is basically going to be AMAZING! but still, life is not fun right now.

but hey by 20th birthday is a week from today, and that is pretty much craziness in and of itself. huzzah for something eh?

First Impressions

So I am officially done with my first 3 days of school for this Fall 09 semester and I thought I would write my first impressions of my classes so far (I will probably laugh at these later because classes are pretty dynamic little creatures...)

1. Differential Equations: this is my first American math teacher I've had at ASU. He seems really nice, but he is a new teacher, so he might be pretty inexperianced. But so far his teaching style has been pretty good, so i am fairly pleased.

2. Engineering Mechanics: This class is going to give me a lot of grief in the future, I will tell ya that right now. My teacher seems pretty thorough but who knows what is going to happen when things really get going.

3. Circuits: This one seems pretty good also. I learned some ciruits in my Physics 2 class i took this summer and felt good about it, so we shall see if this class changes my views at all. But so far it seems to be okay.

4. Physiology: This is an ultimatum class to me. It is either going to be really fun, or really really hard. My teachers (there are two of them) seem way cool and like they know what they are doing, but there is just so much that we are going to have to learn, im kind of daunted.

So in this little analysis I have tired to be pretty optimistic and stuff. I actually have been having a hard time getting motivated for this semester but im making myself go while finding/maintaining my motivation to learn!

Well im off for now, but hey, the valley has been really clear lately so its been gorgous! Huzzah for Arizona (when its not smoggy and pretty!)

not dead....

wow, it has been seriously FOREVER since I last posted, and while this one is going to be real quick (cuz its main purpose is to prove that Im not dead ;)) I just wanted explain why the long break.

First off I started a summer school course, Physics 2, so bascially, I had no life...(ask my sister) then we moved in the middle of that and Ive been wanting to post pics but im too lazy and forget to take my camera with me when i go on my daily excursions around the house. and now im on week 2 of my two week break so im just kinda chillin with Emily and fam.

And you wanna know something that is probabaly one of the huggest shockers of my life?!!! I have hardly been on the computer this last month...maybe two! Basically ive just kept busy with fun projects (mainly my room) and just read when i get bored or tired. how fun is that?! I love it actually :) !

Daddy!

In light of Father's Day, I am going to take a break from my usual ramblings about myself, and give a little tribute to my most amazing father. My Dad, as I have just recently stated, is amazing. He works SO amazingly hard to support our family, it leaves me in awe. And because he not only works hard at work, but in all the things he does, it instills in me the drive to do my best at whatever I decide to persue.
And please, all you people who think that my father is some gruff, intimidating man... you are just wrong. He only acts it cuz he can :) yes my father is powerful and commanding, but he is also so very kind and gentle.

So here's to you Dad! I hope you have a wonderful day! Love you!

Missouri!

Okay, okay. I've had these pictures save on here FOREVER but havent just gotten around to writing about Missouri, but now im going to so here I go!

First off, Lily was SO cute! She turned 1 a couple of weeks ago, and is just walking around and chatting up a storm. She loves to point at everything, and especially at things she is not supposed to mess with. hahaha

So, the land of Missouri is very interesting. It is very flat but has lots of hills so it kind of makes up for the lack of mountains. It rained alot (very randomly sometimes) but otherwise it wa a really awesome place to visit. Oh and by the way, there were Amish people that would just drive their buggies down the sides of the roads!

Also there were like a million of these little 'po-dunk' towns that we drove through, and lived in for a week. Though they are fun and old-timey, there is nothing to do in them besides go to antique shops and eat! hahah but its all good!

So here is me and em in our retal car (that got awesome gas mileage by the way). I was the official navigator and only messed up once :( , but that was on the return trip to the airport and it was so simple it was confusing...ha.

And Em was an awesome driver! I wasnt allowed to drive the car since im not 21 (poo) so she had to drive the whole time, but did awesome!

And She Lived Happily Ever After...Until Summer School That Is...

So the time has finally come! I am done with my freshman year of college! Huzzah! and my grades are coming in and looking pretty good!  but honestly im just excited to have time to actually do things besides school.  gosh!

well mom has been putting me to work though, we have been cleaning like mad to get the house ready for showing.  Its amazing how much trinkets and clutter we have collected over the years!  As I have been putting it, 'our house has been overweight and we have just been helping it shed some pounds!"  So the next could pictures are of my room, and if anyone remembers how it looked before, its crazy tidy; it also looks a bit bare, but we are trying to make the house look like a model home, so the de-cluttering applies to the walls too.

So i lately i have met this girl in my ward who is so awesome!  she is like my new best friend down here!  so monday night we were both really bored so we decided to go teepee-ing!  and Jeff actually met her and is taking her out tonight so we did his truck, and he thought it was pretty funny...

but thats kinda a bad picture...you should see the front of it! hahaha. here is us just after obtaining the goods:

Its Snowing Craziness!

hey so my world is pretty crazy right now. So here is a list of what has been going down

1. really....im almost done with my finals, but they seem to just keep getting harder and harder! but hey im three down and one more to do...yes! just physics....*sigh* i guess i will just feel better when all the grades come in, all this waiting is not fun.

2. So boys.....uhhhhh....they are just very confusing....nuff said...

3. i need to make a list or something for the summer.  I dont want to be so bored but i do want to rest, so you have any suggestions for me please let me know!

So i guess my life isnt super super insane, but i promise, finals are taking more out of me than i anticipated, so i just dont wanna talk anymore about it.

But anyways....oh well im done for now. but just to emphasize my craziness...its snowing at my house! (well flowers anyways...)

Almost There!

ok I have been so busy lately, Im sad but not suprised that its been so long since I have updated! but so school is almost done, I cant believe it!  I have already done a whole year of college!  Its crazy, sometimes I still feel like the same person than I was when I graduated, but then I realize that I have grown so much this last year.  Our house is almost done so we will be moving soon, and I have moved to a University singles ward and it is great fun.  I have been making so many new friends, but I still hang out with my high school ones...at least until they all leave me for BYU and missions (missions I can live with, but why BYU?!?!).

But the other night I went on a date with my friend Josh and we had so much fun. Here are a couple pictures of us being totally goofy:

Ugggg

Wow I am getting pretty terrible at updating! I get on and am all, wow its been a whole month already? hahaha...so basically life is same old, but differnt at the same time.  I know, Im crazy.  School, as usual, is hard and has been driving me up the wall for the past couple weeks so Im so incredibly happy that it is Spring Break right now.  One of the only downsides to this is that now i get incredibly bored cuz for the past like 2 days i have had nothing to do....well besides the little odds and ends.  For real, I went through my phone book at least 3 times today looking for someone to play with me but what do I come up with? Nothing, as in zilch, zip and nada.  But okay...I think I got all of rant out.  I donno if you feel better, but I do. :)

So really there isnt that much new around here, though I did host another mac and cheese party with a better turn out this time!  It was so much fun, my new friends from my ward are awesome!

So bascially all is well here in Ol' Mesa, the house is going good, Mom and Dad are going strong, and me and Jeff are just trying to make our ways through life. :) Oh happy days.

Update-ness

wow, im sorry people.  Life has been so crazy lately i havent even had time to breathe.  Honestly.  Its like bascially, my profs are all "lets all have tests, quizes and reports!" so naturally I have been suffering from severe bouts of stress in the forms of psyc outs, hair twirling, and  super fast talking.  But im doing better now. Ive been taking on the attitude of what happens, happens as long as i try my best.

Its kinda funny really though, because I feel calm at the same time.  Over this past year I have been growing so much, 'specially spiritually, and I feel like I have been prepared for this trial.  I have leaned on the Lord SO much, and am loving every bit of it.  Really, try this some time: as i drive to school I've been listing to LDS books and talks that I wouldnt normally take the time to read and its been helping me see the big picture.  Its like turning your car into a personal inspiration center! its awesome!

okay...off my hi now...:) well, honestly thats all thats been going on.  School, Hw, church, sleep...etc.  But hey, its life...ya know?

Life

So, once again I havent written in awhile.  This blog is supposed to be of my musings, but obviously my muse has gone on vacation, or maybe she hiding from me because school has started yet again.

Dont get me wrong, I love learning and meeting people etc, but I hate the stress.  I mean I know that life is going to be full of plenty of opportutunites to stress out, but I feel that with school it is one continuous round and that there is bascially nothing you can do about it. *sigh* wow I am really going off today....

Okay we are going to leave that subject now. I've moved to one of the University singles wards, not becasue I wanna get married, but jsut cuz I wanna meet more people.  Its hard to get to know people when the only times you see them is inbetween classes once a week (if that). So its been fun and hard to be out going at times, but I think I have been succeeding.

Oh yeah! I totally finished my quilt and it looks awesome! :) I am so proud of myself.  But still, I wanna thank my mom for helping me in every aspect of it, Emily for helping pick the colors out, and my aunt for giving me great tips! :D 

(oh yeah, I had an amazing "tea" party with my friends the other day...)

New Year?

Wow! I can't believe that I havent posted at all this new year!  Its crazy!  Basically though, I havent been doing much.  Just hanging out with my friends and trying to finish my quilt that has been taking FOREVER! :) But when it is done, which it almost is, it is going to be awesome!

"Sew" basically thats pretty much my life up until now.  School starts on Tuesday...oh joy....actually though I am happy that I will have a schedule in my life, but I dont like the stress.

OOOO! Yesterday I got to sing in the choir for Elder Bednar who came and had an AWESOME 'Q and A' fireside with the YSA of the East Valley.  Needless to say, I am always goin to cherish and remember that night and what I learned. :)
