Magic Lessons: Sapphic Space Fantasy (Magic Of The Galaxy Book 2) Kindle Edition

4.7 out of 5 stars (121)

Viera has spent years teaching and guiding others. Can she turn the tables and become a student?

Back on earth, Viera returns to her calling as an elementary school teacher.. The problem is her time in space has changed her and it’s affecting more than just her ability to do magic—it’s touching every aspect of her life.

Viera realizes she needs to understand her magic before it masters her. Though there are people willing to help her out, she’s forced to work with a cantankerous trainer who treats her like an ignorant child.

Meanwhile, her relationship with Thorn, her student’s mother, is heating up. They both know it’s short term, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t worth pursuing.

Can Viera learn her new craft while hiding everything she’s discovered from the mere humans?

These are fun, original and this one is more closed door, ftb

I prefer the much less explicit, closed door approach that this volume, #2 has.

It is a refreshing change from the very graphic sex scenes in Vol1.

The relationships between MC’s are all warmly written and I am more interested in the fledgling couple, their Second grader, and all their people’s comings and goings than in their sex.

There are plenty of opportunities for fun, wonder even tenderness in these adventures!

The ‘I was kidnapped accidentally- and by aliens!!’ trope (huh?) is new to me, but here it’s very, very good!

This series is lively and curiously smart among the not so typical culture shock gags.

Most unusual systems of science & magic I’ve ever read and intriguing, imaginative aliens!

I hope Thorn, Viera and everyone keep Ms. Frost busy writing many more books with terrific and exotic interstellar travels ahead.

    Xhth

This was an excellent addition to this series of romantic lesbian erotica with uncommon partners. Humans and aliens in romantic situations are often difficult when best practices.

This actually took a nice tick forward from the last book. Still just a bit of work or well smoothness/show the chemistry with those scenes, but better wording for sure. Will keep reading.

This is a great continuation of the Magic of the Galaxy series. The story is interesting and it is very nice to see Viera gaining more magic. And the romance is lighthearted with enough heat. I am really looking forward to reading the next book, which will hopefully not take too long to come out.

    Amazing book

This book was simply amazing and made me want to reread the first book and beg the author to hurry up with the next book.

I love the world building in this series and the character devolopment. The struggles and wonders of learning magic were wonderfully written down and I could visualize myself performing them (if I could of course).

It was interesting to read how the aliens had settled on Earth and the differences that were discussed from how they normally lived (on their home planets).

The developing relationship between Thorn and Viera was also nice to see, especially the fact that it doesn't happen too fast, it feels authentic.

Plus, there are dragons and unicorns :) Or better said qynads and yonats...

So if you have read the first book and liked it, you'll definitely like this one as well. If you haven't, you should probably start with the first book, which I can definitely recommend! Of course, I should warn you as well to only start reading while you have enough time, because you will not want to put it down.

This is the second book in the series, picking up where the first one left off. It all takes place on Earth, as Viera learns about her new magic and how to control them with the help of Betsy and Flower Pancer. We also get to meet some of the pillars of Earth and learn more about Betsy and her family. I really enjoyed the first book and this one didn't disappoint. It ended with another cliffhanger, and I can't wait for the next book. I would definitely recommend this series.

    I received an arc

Such a fun read. Our main Wisconsin heroine has become landlocked but her head is still filled in the stars. I truly enjoyed the interactions with the aliens and wizards, her exploration in magic, and how it's built up to get us to book three Conflict Lessons. I recommend it!

Oh, my that was unexpected. Some interesting twists and turns happening in this book. A great expansion on the first book. I don't want to give spoilers, but Viera's life really changed since she was accidentally beamed up. And she got unexpected help from her friend Betsy.

Now I am patiently waiting for the next book to see what will happen to all of them and the Krottel.
