The Gospel of Christ: The Complete Life and Teachings of Jesus (Reconstructed from Biblical and Non-Biblical Scripture, in Simple English) Kindle Edition
The Jesus you know has been packaged and sold to you.
In the 4th century, the Roman Empire authorised a single Gospel tradition to shape a version of Jesus that fit its political priorities. Countless Christian writings were suppressed, and their followers were brutally executed.
Today, Jesus' name continues to be weaponised. Political figures and media personalities exploit him for influence and profit. But their intentions contradict the very heart of Jesus' teachings.
Finally discover the whole truth about Jesus Christ.
The Gospel of Christ harmonises over 250 ancient Christian texts into one continuous narrative, translated into clear, contemporary English. It is a brand-new reconstruction, not found anywhere else.
We restore the life and philosophy of Jesus Christ, using:
- The Infancy Gospels that were rejected from the New Testament
- His practical instruction explained through parables
- Every example of his messianic signs demonstrated through miracles and healings
- The merciless crucifixion and divine resurrection retold
- His apocalyptic teaching in full context
- The gentle unveiling of the controversial Gnostic mysteries
This is the most comprehensive New Testament Gospel source to date: The Untold Biography of Christ.
Each of the 250+ sources are listed in the book for your further research, and includes:
- Gospel of Thomas
- Gospel of Judas
- Gospel of Philip
- Gospel of Peter
- Gospel of Mary Magdalene
- Infancy Gospel of Thomas
- Shepherd of Hermas
- Gospel of the Hebrews
- Gospel of the Ebionites
- Gospel of the Nazarenes
- Didache

About the author

Born in South Africa and now a homeless nomad, Jared has explored and gathered inspiration from over 65 countries and counting. Additionally, he reads the central scripture from a different religion every year, deepening his understanding of numerous faiths and cultures. This curiosity and dedication to broad theology have greatly influenced his latest fiction book, "The Lamb Prophecy", where Jared blends fantasy with deep spiritual themes, constructing a world rich with combined mythology.
Jared is also the author of the “In Her Own Words” series of biographies about female musicians. Thus far, these include "Stay Soft, Get Eaten" for Mitski, "When a Song Ends in a Minor Key" for Fiona Apple, and the phenomenally popular "F**ked My Way Up To The Top" for Lana Del Rey. These are available right now.
There are many other works under Jared's name, such as the spiritual philosophy of the "Janthopoyism Bible", the self-help publication "Heartbreak Sucks! How to Get Over Your Breakup in 30 Days", and the collection of short stories "Licking the Bottom of the Love Jar".

Outstanding researched life of Christ
Reviewed in the United States on May 14, 2026This is my unpaid, non-promoting honest review. I have read several books of this genre focusing on Jesus's life and this one is very unique in that it draws source material from many other religions and historical writings giving the reader a more well balanced and objective details and analysis of the Lords life, his key relationships and teachings. The author converts the archaic speech, words, and actions to a modern way of speech, which makes following Jesus's life more understandable and relatable. Most importantly, the author gives an objective analysis each section with references along side so you can do your own research. Overall, I would give it 5 stars, however, only 4 because he included references from the Quoran with honorific titles to Mohammed every time the author mentioned his name, as if Mohammed was equal or better then Jesus, as no honorifics were used with him. Second, there're no historical or archeological evidence of the existence of Mohammed, in fact, no first hand or second hand sources, compared to Jesus.. Only sources several hundred years after his alleged existence.

Very Insightful Read
Reviewed in the United States on December 24, 2025I highly recommend anyone who claims to be a Christian read this book. This is eye opening and I'm still trying to let everything I read soak in. There are so many different events of the Bible that are outlined very well. I appreciate how the author broke each part down and gave alternate resources for what was written. I will be buying this book to have as a hard copy and something I will definitely be reading parts of daily to learn more and more about Christ. Thank you so much!

Adam Hartley4 out of 5 starsA Bold, Multidimensional Restoration of the Nazarene
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on December 21, 2025In The Gospel of Christ, Woods performs a feat of literary and historical synthesis that feels both radical and deeply overdue. By weaving together over 250 ancient texts—ranging from the familiar Synoptic Gospels to the long-suppressed Gnostic codices—Woods attempts to strip away centuries of imperial "packaging" to reveal a more complex, vibrant, and human (yet divine) portrait of Jesus.
The Power of Synthesis
The book’s greatest strength lies in its narrative harmony. For those who have found the traditional New Testament to be a fragmented or sanitized account, Woods provides a seamless, "continuous narrative" that fills in the tantalizing gaps of Jesus’ life.
The "Silent Years": The inclusion of the Infancy Gospels provides a fascinating, if sometimes jarring, look at a young Jesus coming to terms with his power.
The Feminine and the Hidden: By integrating the Gospel of Mary Magdalene and the Gospel of Philip, the book restores a sense of gender balance and intellectual intimacy to the inner circle of the apostles that is often missing from canonical versions.
A Critical Perspective
While the book is a triumph of accessibility, it is important to approach it with an understanding of its reconstructive nature. Woods is not presenting a "lost" historical document found in a cave, but rather a creative and scholarly mosaic.
A critical reader might note that harmonizing Gnostic texts (which often emphasize secret knowledge and a spiritualized Christ) with the Ebionite or Nazarene texts (which lean toward a more Jewish, human Messiah) is a monumental task. Purists on both sides—secular historians and traditional theologians—might find the blending of these conflicting ideologies to be bold, yet Woods manages to maintain a consistent tone that feels contemporary and urgent.
Why It Matters Today
Woods doesn't just look backward; he addresses the modern "weaponization" of Jesus’ name. By presenting a Christ who is as concerned with "Gnostic mysteries" as he is with "practical instruction," the author challenges the reader to look past the political caricatures of Jesus used in modern media.
Key Highlights
Comprehensive Bibliography: The listing of all 250+ sources, including the Pistis Sophia and the Didache, makes this an excellent jumping-off point for amateur scholars.
Contemporary Clarity: The translation avoids archaic "thee's and thou's," making the philosophy of Jesus feel immediate and applicable.
A Unified Vision: It successfully merges the "apocalyptic teacher" with the "gentle mystic."
Final Verdict: The Gospel of Christ is a provocative and enlightening read. It is a must-have for anyone who feels the traditional story of Jesus is incomplete and is looking for a more expansive, inclusive, and historically diverse "untold biography."

Luke Hamer5 out of 5 starsA call to questioning beyond denominations
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on December 24, 2025A beautifully written book that invites us to question and explore our own interpretation of Christ.
Whether through history, teachings, or belief, it draws on many accounts and presents them in a way that allows the reader to discern for themselves — stepping back from rigid, doctrinated views. In doing so, it offers a sense of freedom in choice, while also calling for a deeper understanding of Christ and, alongside it, love.
