Straight Hair!

So I was on my laptop browsing through some photos and thought I would shock everyone and blog a few... I know it has been a while, life is busy. That is my excuse anyway! This is a photo of my curly-haired son. At school they had a career day and a beautician was giving haircuts, etc. and she decided to straighten C's hair. I could not believe how different he looks with straight hair!

And, we were surprised how much it made him look like his brother!

WOW! It has been a while!

ImageFootball season started and CE has been busy with practices and games. The team is struggling this year but he still loves it! Go #50
ImageWe had a Stake BBQ and after the entertainment they had some spontanious line-dancing. CD and L are here dancing away...

ImageSome more dancing...
!ImageT played Bocci Ball with Special Olympics this summer. She had a good time at the tournament. In between matches they played BINGO --she really like that!
ImageHere she is with her partner.
ImageK celebrated a birthday and CE wanted to see if K was now too old to wrestle. CE quickly found out that his dad still has it.
ImageL got engaged and we are now planning a Nov. wedding.
ImageHere is some of the family on K's birthday.
ImageWe attended a Raptor's game. CE is being goofy with his friends.

ImageActivity Days had a Daddy Daughter 50's night. Someone came and taught the Swing to the dads and daughters.
ImageCD and K did a great job dancing.
ImageWe took a mini vacation for a weekend and enjoyed some of the fun things in Park City. Here is CE and J getting ready to go down the longest slide in the US
ImageK and I
ImageCD getting on the Heber Kreeper for a Murder Mystery Dinner Theater on the Train. It was fun for all of us. (Too bad L had to work and missed out....but we are glad she has the job!) Well, there is a bit of a catch up. Some of the UPS of summer!

Bocci

Image T started playing
Bocci with the Special Olympics. She is now officially a member of the Golden Spikers and the team competes in various sports throughout the year. (Bocci is a type of lawn bowling that reminds me of Curling) I think there are about 70 people on the team. Not everybody participates in every sport, it is their choice. At the two practices T has been at, there has been about 25 people there. She seems to enjoy it but was real disappointed that there are no pins to knock down. Good Luck Golden Spikers! They have tournament in Aug. with all of Northern Utah teams and if they take gold, they will compete at the U of U in Oct. with teams from all over Utah. It should be a great experience for her. I am excited for her to make some new friends.

and down he goes...

Image I can't get my Internet working on my computer so I am using my husband's laptop which does not have a slot for my SD card....so possibly more photos later. This photo was taken on J's phone last night as he took K to the Dr. office and the the ER (while I was in Cedar Hills visiting a friend). K wasn't thinking and instead acting more in desperation as he was climbing onto a roof (without a ladder) and took a fall onto several boulders below. He is not real clear on the details since it knocked him unconscious. He did say that that was an awkward feeling coming too and not being quite sure what happened and looking around at his surroundings trying to piece everything together. As he drove home it got harder and harder to breathe so as soon as he got home he grabbed J and had him drive him to the Dr. office insta-care. He said they were sure making a fuss over him and gave him the option of an ambulance of J driving him to the hospital. J drove him and although the waiting room was full they looked at him and took him right back. I arrived at the hospital while he was getting a CT scan. Despite the blood on the back of his his head and his massive headache, the CT scan of his head and neck looked good. The most pain he has is from his chest wall contusion. He broke one vertebrae in his back and although that will keep him inactive for awhile, he does not need surgery and there is no nerve or spinal cord damage. We feel he was really blessed and his guardian angels must have help soften his fall. He his happy do deal with all the pain knowing how much worse it could have been.

Image As we drove home the other night we decide to take the long way home and snap a few photos with our little pocket camera. Here is a sampling.
