Texas Fun

ImageThey have this awesome water park type thing a couple towns over that we had a blast at.
ImageChillin with the SILs.
ImageChubs couldn't get enough of this slide!
ImageMarley was the wildest cat. Pita and Chubs were obsessed with her. She'd roam around and would do the funniest things. Like trap herself in plastic bags.
ImageTopless sweeping is all the rage in Texas.
ImageThis Mater toy was always the center of many fights. These smiles were a fluke, it usually was a bunch of tears instead.
ImageThe cousins! Too bad Pita ruined a super cute truck pic with her grouchy face. Oh well. There's always one.
ImagePottsboro Elementary had this awesome free fair with tons of free everything! We all got these really cool Jesus bracelets from a Christian church handing out pencils, suckers, and neon WWJD bracelets. Everyone ate their weight in popcorn.
ImageAnd snow cones.
ImageA trip to the play area would not be complete without a pic on the creepster merry go round.

ImagePita actually let this woman paint on her face which was a shocker. (Check the cool bracelet)
ImageGroup shot!
ImageOur last night we had a fun date night at BJ's with the adults. I seriously had the best hair days in Texas. Go figure.
ImageGood times!

Sealing

ImageWe were lucky enough this past August to go to Texas to be with Uncle Jared and Aunt Vicki as they were sealed in the Dallas temple.
ImageWe squeezed in between two weddings that day to steal a picture!
Image
ImageMy sister in laws! I'm lucky I get to be the tallest out of all of them =)

OC Fair

Image
Here in Orange County we like to have over priced carnivals that cost an arm and a leg to get in and have ten dollar chicken kabobs. But when you get a Ralph's coupon you just bite the bullet and go!
ImageNo trip to the fair would be complete without lots of sugar!
ImageChubs wanted Pita's candy apple so bad he couldn't see straight. She wouldn't give it up and I didn't want to buy him one. He pouted something terrible.
ImageOne of the great free attractions was a kiddie area with these massive snakes. They were awesome!
ImagePita got over that apple fast so we let Chubs have a stab at it. The thing looked exactly the same when he was done with it. I think candy apples are just glorified suckers.
ImageTime to go! It was a really super hot day at the fair!

Ha ha ha ha ha

Excuses excuses but now I can't find my cord to upload from our camera. So I'm stuck here in November, two weeks before Thanksgiving blogging about Summer. Enjoy.

Hawaii P4

ImageThe only thing that I wanted to do in Hawaii was find a waterfall and jump off of it. Our last day before we left we decided to venture to this hidden rope swing area. The property is technically private, yet someone has yet to be arrested for being there. The parking area for is usually is a target for break ins, as we so generously saw tons of broken window glass all around the area.

You have to walk through this amazing path that basically looks like a crazy field.
ImageThen you come to this opening with all these fantastic rocks. Beautiful view huh? And the backgrounds' not bad either! Ha ha!
ImageThis unbelievably fantastic tree is chilling right at the base of the waterfall. Natives have constructed this amazing rope hanging off to the left and also anchored a latter on the right to get up afterwards.
ImageB took off for the rope right away. It was amazing. I screamed the whole way down. It was amazing how your adrenaline just pushes you!
ImageHay even went, I was so proud of you. I told her, this might be the bravest thing I've ever done and I'm 29. Don't wait that long to do something like this! My amazing mother went too, she hurt herself on the way down which bummed me out.
ImageYou've got to check out the video of me jumping off the waterfall but I have to tell you I almost chickened out. I kept thinking of the crazy rocks and what if I hit one, blah blah. In the video you can hear B calling me a chicken and bawking at me. This is probably the gutsiest thing I've ever done (how lame huh?) I'm so proud of myself! This is us after we both jumped off the waterfall. Success!

Hawaii P3

Today Pita says to me, "Mom, I miss Hawaii, can we go again?" and once again I realize what a loser I am because I never finished my Hawaii blog and never posted my Texas blog. So here we go, the best part of Hawaii yet.

The POOL. I realized I won't go back until my kids are old enough to swim in the ocean because we can spend every day at the pool back home. B bought a water proof digital camera before we left and let me tell you, that can provide HOURS of fun!

Image
Yes, you can be an Asian tourist under water too!
Image
Ammon seriously dances EVERYWHERE.
Image
Chubs was so awesome under water, he never once freaked out!
Image
Throwing up gang signs or flipping me off, I'm not sure which.
Image
Pita would only go under with her dad- like I'm not trustworthy or something.
Image
Arms full.
Image
Snorkeling at Lydegate beach (yes the peace sign up again!)

I just love this pic cause they're so pretty, huh?

Hawaii P2

ImageI have to say, Hawaii beaches are much prettier than Cali ones. I always feel terrible, everyone is always like "you live in Cali? You must go to the beach all the time!" And I really don't. In fact, sad to say, I haven't been once this summer.
ImageWe had pretty decent weather but most of the members of my family like to be topless (I'm not included in that.)
ImageI love the next couple of shots cause the sky is so amazing and nowhere here does it look like that at sunset.
Image
Image
ImageOnly B could frown in Hawaii. =)

Hawaii P1

Ok ok so it's been a month since we went, but now that I have B's laptop quarantined with me, I can blog off what he has here. We were so lucky that my mom had to go to a Pediatrics conference in Kauai and we just had to tag along. B had never been and I think I haven't gone in twelve years or so, so we were excited. Although taking two little ones with was a new adventure.
ImageChubs was a TOTAL delight on the way there. Over tired and outta control. We were so lucky when he fell asleep ten minutes before we landed. BOO.
ImageThank heavens Pita's at the age that this is FUN for her!
ImageWe got into Hawaii pretty late so this is about as good as it gets.
ImageOf course you gotta go to Costco and love how different the offerings are than back home. My favorite? Spam hot dogs. I couldn't justify buying a three pack so I didn't get any. I wish I did. Yum. All you skeptics, you just haven't had Spam fried rice.
ImageWe cruised a bunch of their shopping centers, this one we were at almost every day at Kauai Bakery and Cinnamons. They had the most amazing pastries. You have to get the blue book if you go, we lived out of that thing for the week, any place we went was out of there.
ImageB wanted to rent a Jeep and drive around with the top down. One time it was pouring rain and we still left the top off.
