John Bristowe helps engineering teams deliver reliably as a developer advocate at Octopus Deploy. He leads community engagement, creates educational content, and appears regularly on Octopus streams and webinars. Before Octopus, John spent years in developer relations at Microsoft and Telerik/Progress, speaking at industry events and building programs for web and .NET developers. A professional geek, William works for Particular Software writing amazing software like NServiceBus. Passionate about the web, he is engaged in a sordid love affair with JavaScript, and spends most of his free time trying to convince others of it’s beauty and elegance.

Will is a Senior Software Engineer at Microsoft, working in the Industry Solutions Engineering team.

Richard Campbell wrote his first line of code in 1977. His career has spanned the computing industry both on the hardware and software sides, development, and operations. He was a co-founder of Strangeloop Networks, acquired by Radware in 2013, and was on the board of directors of Telerik, which was acquired by Progress Software in 2014. Today, he is a consultant and advisor to a number of successful technology firms and is the founder and chairman of Humanitarian Toolbox (www.htbox.org), a public charity that builds open-source software for disaster relief. Robert Koch is a Melbourne-based engineer and the Forward Deployment Engineering lead at Quarterzip, where he helps customers integrate products seamlessly into their environments. He draws on a background in cloud infrastructure, web development, and strategic content development to deliver tailored solutions that drive adoption and impact.

With a degree in Electrical Engineering, Robert previously worked as a Cloud Architect at AWS, where he built secure, scalable platforms for public sector clients.

Actively engaged in the engineering community, he contributes to Young Engineers Australia and continues to explore innovation through personal projects. Outside of work, he enjoys bouldering, gaming, and experimenting with electronics.

Arafat Tehsin is a founder of Fedorai and Microsoft MVP (AI) based in Sydney, Australia. He has a passion for solving complex business problems using innovative technologies and delivering high-quality solutions. He has more than a decade of software development experience with a specialization on digital transformation and business automation. He has worked with Global System Integrators and developed some next-gen solutions using Generative AI and Business Application frameworks. 

Arafat co-founded Global AI - The Podcast, which talks about everything around Microsoft AI with guests from different backgrounds and domains. He is also an official evaluator for SXSW and a speaker at various developer conferences, such as NDC Sydney, Global AI Bootcamp and THAT Conference, where he shares his insights on building next-gen solutions using cutting-edge technologies. David is the Director of Architecture for NewDay, and the founder of Electric Head Software. Focusing on iterative software delivery, developer mentoring and cultural change - mostly working with London-based organisations.

He speaks about software design, culture, and ethics in technology - rounded out by an assortment of talks about software that probably doesn't need to exist but makes the world a little more fun. Hi, my name is Dylan McCarthy, I am a Microsoft MVP for Developer Tools and work as a Principal Engineer at Versent. Jonathan, or J. as he's known to friends, is a husband, father, and founding partner of Trailhead Technology Partners, a custom software consulting company with employees across the U.S., Europe, and South America. He is a 11-time recipient of the Microsoft MVP award for his work with .NET and is a frequent speaker at software conferences around the world. He doesn’t mind the travel, though, as it allows him to share what he's been learning and also gives him the chance to visit beautiful places like national parks—one of his passions. So far, he's visited 58 of the 63 U.S. national parks.

J. is also passionate about building the software community. Over the years, he has served on several non-profit boards, including more than a decade as president of the board for Beer City Code, Western Michigan's largest professional software conference. Outside of work, J. enjoys hiking, reading, photography, and watching all the Best Picture nominees before the Oscars ceremony each year.

Adam is part of the Open-Source Program Office (OSPO) at DT where he works as a DevRel focusing on observability and security. SCUBA diving is his passion. Outside work you can find him on, in or under the sea.

Gian Wild is the CEO of AccessibilityOz, with offices in the United States, Europe and Australia. She has worked in accessibility industry since 1998, when she worked on the very first Australian accessible web site. Her major achievements include: six years’ active membership in the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines Working Group contributing to WCAG2; her speech on the importance of web accessibility at the United Nations Conference of State Parties in 2015; and the release of the ICT Mobile Site Accessibility Testing Guidelines as the Mobile Sub-Committee Chair of the ICT Accessibility Testing Symposium. In 2019 Gian won the inaugural Accessibility Person of the Year. Gian speaks at conferences in Australia, US, Canada, South America and Europe.

During my 10+ years of hands-on experience in Software Engineering, I have primarily focused on .NET-based solutions and Azure as a cloud-services provider. She has a passion for sharing knowledge with the community with a focus on nurturing the next generation of developers. Dr Pedram Hayati is the founder and CEO of SecDim, where he helps developers to balance engineering velocity with application security rigor. As a researcher across both offensive security and application security, Pedram has:

She's a respected leader in the hackathon community, having won, organised, and mentored over 100 hackathons.
 
Mish is a successful entrepreneur and founder, having co-founded several companies – including an artificial intelligence company, and as a result, sits at the forefront of Melbourne’s science, tech, esports, and startup scenes. In her 'spare' time she’s a streamer, journalist, loves playing sports, and is always working on something exciting.

Lucky is an Executive and the Head of Specialised Consulting, Research and Development at BBD - a global bespoke software solutions firm. As a software engineer, he has experience in building and maintaining enterprise software in the banking, insurance, telecommunications and education sectors with varying tech-stacks; from VB6 and .Net to web and cloud technologies.
Lucky is an educator, teaching Game Design and Computer Science at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg and is the co-organiser of the Johannesburg-based JavaScript-focused meetup: Jozi.JS.

Ashley is an engineer at Datalust building Seq: a database for application diagnostics written in Rust and C#. He has over 10 years of experience in Rust (since before it was 1.0), most of them spent writing it professionally. He's worked on its standard library and maintains several fundamental open source libraries in it. 

Todd is a passionate consultant, architect and application developer with a focus on AI applications, Cloud Native Architecture, Integration and developer productivity.  Combining these solid foundations with an unhealthy number of late night "good ideas" he loves putting tech to the test in unusual ways that are quite likely to void more than one warranty.


Markus Mäkelä is a platform engineer specializing in generative AI applications. Over the past 2 years, he has focused primarily on integrating agentic capabilities into various parts of the platform engineering stack. He especially enjoys developing scalable and portable foundations that enables his team to keep pace with the fast moving cutting edge of the field of generative AI.

Mark is an experienced technologist whose journey began in application development, spanning web and client-server applications to sophisticated distributed systems and microservices. Along this path, he developed deep expertise in automation and DevOps, leading diverse project teams and guiding cloud practice organizations through strategic, operational, and pre-sales leadership roles. Currently, Mark holds a hands-on engineering position at Microsoft, contributing directly to the Microsoft Azure platform. 

Beyond his professional work, Mark shares his passion for cloud computing through his YouTube channel, "The Azure Terraformer." He is also the author of "Mastering Terraform," a practical, multi-cloud guide to Infrastructure-as-Code covering AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, and has created the Udemy course "Terraform 101."

Phil is a developer relations engineer for IBM and Google Developer Expert living in Melbourne, Australia. He loves working with JavaScript, TypeScript or Ruby to build web applications and tools to help developers. He once helped build a website that captured the world's favourite sandwich fillings. He has too many GitHub repositories.

Away from the keyboard, Phil listens to ska punk, hangs out with his miniature dachshund (also called Ruby), and is on a mission to discover the world's best beers.

With a background spanning DevOps, cloud architecture, and modern application design, Chris brings both engineering depth and practical experience to the challenge of making large systems more resilient. Shivay Lamba is a software developer specializing in DevOps, Machine Learning and Full Stack Development. 

He is an Open Source Enthusiast and has been part of various programs like Google Code In and Google Summer of Code as a Mentor and is currently a MLH Fellow. He has also worked at organizations like Amazon, EY, Genpact. He is a Tensorflow.JS SIG member and community lead from India. 

Aaron is a Developer Advocate at Microsoft, focusing on .NET and Azure. Having spent 20 years doing web development he's seen it all, from browser wars, the rise of AJAX and the fall of 20 JavaScript frameworks (and that was just yesterday!). Always tinkering with something new he explores crazy ideas like writing your own implementation of numbers in .NET, creating IoC in JavaScript or implementing tic-tac-toe using git commits.

Jimmy is the creator and maintainer of the popular OSS libraries AutoMapper and MediatR, and the originator of Vertical Slice Architecture. Jimmy is an independent software consultant based in Austin, TX. Jimmy has received the "Microsoft Most Valuable Professional" (MVP) award every year since 2009.

Anthony is from Sydney, Australia and is a contributor to many open-source communities. Running and contributing to several popular open-source tools for DevOps, Security, Automation and Code Quality. He has been recognized for his contribution to open source, including as Fellow of the Python Software Foundation and member of the Apache Software Foundation. Anthony runs a Python blog and YouTube channel and has recently published a book on the Python compiler.

Andrew is a respected cloud and AI expert with over 15 years of experience at Microsoft , where he most recently served as Azure CTO for Microsoft Australia. He architected and championed Azure's adoption across large enterprises and government, playing a pivotal role in internal readiness, partner enablement, and go-to-market launch of Microsoft's cloud and AI stack

Adam is the AI Practice Lead at Agile Insights. He works with customers to help them understand where AI can empower their organisations, and then makes that vision come to life. Adam loves adopting emerging technologies early, and then sharing best practices and lessons learned with the broader development community. Ben Dechrai is a technologist with a strong focus on security and privacy, recognised as an MVP for his exceptional contributions to the community. Known for his ability to distil complex technical concepts into engaging, digestible portions, Ben empowers developers through a deep understanding of design principles, security considerations, and coding practices. Stefán Jökull has been a professional programmer for over 20 years, although he wrote his first BASIC program on an old Amstrad CPC 464 way back in 1986. He has a lot of experience with systems that require attention to details and have high customer impact.

Stefán is also a Microsoft MVP, a member of the .NET Foundation, and specializes in all things .NET with a focus on performance, security, and analytics/telemetry.

When he's not working, he enjoys time with the family, working on OSS software, building Lego sets and having the occasional beer when meeting fellow developers.

Bron has been developing code since the turn of the century, and loves learning new tech. Her motto is "if you're not learning, you're not moving". Yes she just made that up, she is a programmer not a wordsmith. Bron is the CTO at YouLive to Travel.
