Christmas Morning!

We convinced the kids to at least wait until 6:30 before they got up Christmas morning!  I didn't sleep very well, I had been coming down with a head cold, so it was actually welcome relief to get up so I could blow my nose! haha!  The kids were pretty excited to see what awaited them!

Carson & Kaylee got new iphone 13s (Along with Nick).  Alivia got a new hoaverboard and seat combo.  Preston got an Ebike!  The boys also got tickets to the monster jam show and the girls got tickets to see Hamilton!  It was fun to surprise them!

The rest of the day was just relaxing and even boring.  Kaylee had come down with a fever and I felt pretty lousy as the day went on.  So I didn't get any pictures of the rest of the day.  My parents did stop by to say hi and see what we all got.  It was a good Christmas!!

Christmas Eve!

Christmas eve was quiet and uneventful!  Nick had taken the kids to Holden a few days before Christmas, which gave me a chance to clean, wrap the rest of the presents, and work on some Vocal Motion stuff.  So they got home that afternoon and we had a yummy breakfast casserole from Straw Market for dinner.  We wore our matching pjs and the kids opened one present, which was a new minky pillowcase!  The kids were so excited for Santa to come!

Vocal Motion Christmas Concert 2021

We had our Vocal Motion Christmas Choir Concert on Tuesday, December 21st.  It went very well!  We performed at Box Elder HS and it was a full house!  We showed our videos we had made from this year and performed a handful of live numbers as well.  It was a fun evening!  It was a lot of work though, but surprisingly the most stressful part was figuring out how to feed over 200 people between the dess rehearsal and show!  I ordered a bunch of deli sandwiches from walmart, added cookies, apples, chips and a glass of water!  Voila!  Dinner is served.  I had great friends and volunteers that helped us pull it off.  I am so blessed to work with such a great team.  It was fun having Brita there to support us.  And Grandma Karen and even Uncle Ryan clear from California was there to watch.  My parents were also there and were joined by our neighbors Steve and Ramah.  It was just such a great night and it felt good to get it over with!

Sunday before Christmas!

We had a wonderful Sacrament Program on Dec 19th for our ward.  Kaylee, Carson and Me sang with our ward choir.  Kaylee and I also sang "Oh Holy Night" with the Hales Girls and Di Giralamo Girls.  It was a very wonderful service.  Our neighbors Steve & Ramah Jaques came and watched.

That afternoon, we headed up to Matt & Nat's house for a Brower Family Party!  It was so fun!  We played games and ate yummy food.  It is always a great time when we get together!

Snow Day & Premier Ballroom Concert

A week before we were out for Christmas Break, we had a pretty good snow storm and it left 500 W and 900 W a mess of bumper cars!!  Including buses, cop cars and snow plows.  Luckily, Nick was home and when he went to take the kids to school, he saw the mess and turned around.  We kept the kids home that morning and took them to school at lunch time.  We had a bell performance that afternoon at the school as part of the school choir assembly.  Luckily, the roads were clear by the time we performed.  The bells played a Nutcracker Medley and it was awesome!

The next day, on Saturday December 11th, we got to go watch Kaylee at her Winter Recital for Premier Ballroom.  She did so good and it makes us excited to see her perform with the Junior Medley Gold team this competition season!

Piano Recitals, Parties, Performances, Videos and More to Kick of December!

So December was a crazy, busy and wonderful month!  It started with Kaylee's piano recital.  She did a beautiful job playing a hard version "O Come, O Come Emanuel.  We also finished out the last few weeks of season's pickleball league.  I play with 15 other ladies every Thursday and it is soooo fun!

The next morning, we had an early video shoot at the Bigelow Hotel in Ogden.  It turned out AMAZING!!! And I was so pleased with how it all went.  The kids looked amazing and performed so well.  We added the bells to it as well, and it was beautiful!  Check it out on YouTube!  It is called "I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day" by Vocal Motion Show Choir.

It was already a long weekend, but Sunday proved to just add to the craziness.  We had church, two choir practices, a primary meeting and then we rushed up to Tremonton for Alivia and Preston's piano recital.  They did great and we are so blessed to have Grandma as their teacher!

The rest of the week wasn't as crazy as that weekend and I even got to sneak in a little lunch with my pickleball ladies in celebration of Christmas!  It was so wonderful!
