The National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC) has more than 500 national corporate members that represent some of America’s largest public and privately-owned global companies. In addition, NMSDC has over 1,000 local corporate members of NMSDC’s regional affiliates which include hospitals, universities, and other regional buying institutions. Corporate membership is open to all organizations that meet NMSDC’s eligibility requirements.
Membership Dues Purpose
Funding for Mission Critical Work
At NMSDC’s founding, the Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) provided a grant to fund the mission critical work we were established to do. When this grant stopped, NMSDC had no way to continue to fund the NMSDC Network, so we looked to create a membership structure and implemented a dues distribution model that ensured the NMSDC Network could continue to provide services to the corporations in market. Those services range from getting MBEs ready to do business with corporations, recruiting MBEs to meet expressed corporate needs, supporting corporations in their supplier diversity journey, and advocating for minority business inclusion across the nation, both federally and locally.
Your Membership Dues at Work
Your membership dues provide critical funding to:
- The NMSDC national office:
- General administration and staffing.
- Technology enhances, like the NMSDC Hub, matchmakers, etc.
- National MBE programming.
- Advocacy for minority business inclusion and economic parity at the federal level.
- Annual Business Diversity Leadership Summit (BDLS)
- The NMSDC Network through monthly revenue distribution to regional affiliates for MBE regional programming, technical assistance, and events, as well as support for national corporate members looking to source locally.
Membership Eligibility
An NMSDC corporate member is defined as a public, private or foreign-owned corporation, university, hospital, government agency, or other large buying institution.
