2015- Week 29

Image
I graduated from my physical therapy program.  I am not 100% better but I am better.  I will never be 100% but I have had lots of mostly pain free days which is awesome.  Now it is up to me to maintain and improve upon the skills I have learned.  This is something I will have to do forever.

Walking is the best exercise for your back so I try to walk most days.  I love it when Jeff comes with me- it's the best part of my day.  This was a rainbow we saw on our walk today.  Then we saw a group of horses.  I love horses.  I love that I can see them in the middle of my city.
They are such beautiful animals.

I spent almost every day this week working at my mom's again.  Tuesday I helped put on a Welcome Back Breakfast for the teachers at the elementary school.  Where did summer go- that we are now starting back to school??  So by Friday we needed to have some fun!  It was Pioneer day so we took the kids to Red Butte Garden.  It happened to be free day which made it awesome.  We haven't been there all together and Jeff and I hadn't been there for years.

It is amazing!  So peaceful, serene, beautiful, quiet.  Sometimes you feel so much joy you think your heart may burst and that is how I felt being there.  Like I was meant to be there.  I haven't felt that way since we were in Alaska.

You would have thought since it was a free day that it would have been crowded- but we were by ourselves for a good portion of it.

We hiked one of the trails in the nature area and had a great view of the city.

I love hibiscus flowers.  I adore even more seeing them in Utah.

These are some random pictures I found on Ashtyn's camera.
I think she took them on the 4th of July.

My friend Jessica in the blue in the middle was in town from Arizona so we got together with my high school friends.  I have been friends with these girls for 20 years.  They are awesome and it's always a great time to be together.  From left is Kathryn, Me, Tristan, Jessica, Annie and Melissa.

I love this girl so much!!  She is one of my best friends.  I lived with her just before I met and married Jeff.  I am so lucky that we have remained friends all these years.  I just wish she lived a little closer.  After we met at the park and everyone else left we went to the Sprague Library and chatted for another hour until she had to leave.

I got this shirt when I went with Ethan to Biz Town.  I just loved how it said JA City because of our initials being JA and us being in charge of this city.

We watched Brody and Brooklyn on Saturday night.  Could she get any cuter??  She is the sweetest, most layed back, friendliest, cutest little girl ever!  She is also most definitely potty trained now which makes watching her a breeze.  I love her so much!

We decided to have some fun and do a little chalk photo shoot with her.

On Pioneer Day I decided to give my kids a little family history lesson about one of their pioneer ancestors.  So we visited the grave of Oake Oakeson who is their third Great Grandfather.  He was baptized on March 27, 1878 when he was 25 years old and came to Utah from Sweden that same year.  He married a young Swedish immigrant named Hedda Rebecca Hansson Lundburg in September 1879.  They settled in South Jordan and one of the homes they lived in is still there.  So of course we had to drive by it and take pictures.  They are both buried in the South Jordan Cemetery.

It reminded me of the "Up" house.  So charming!

Our neighbors set off some fireworks so we sat and watched.
