2022- Week 47(Nov 21- Nov 27)

Trenda had extra tickets to the Bingham musical. It was The Pirates of Penzance. Cade was in it as well as a few other kids from the ward so Jeff, Ethan and I went. It was wonderful and I found out that my friend Krystal's brother Dave Martin is the new theater teacher so I got to see her parents. I love them so much. I grew up hanging out at their house.

I worked one day this week and Kim gave me this amazing zuchinni bread. Of course it was expertly wrapped too.

Whitney and I tried the new Wendy's peppermint frosty and I love it!

Our good friend and neighbor Austin Lay turned 40 this week. I use to tutor him in reading. He is autistic and the sweetest person ever. His parents threw him a surprise birthday party at the church. Boy was he surprised.

Thanksgiving was with the Hughes clan at our house this year. We were missing Greg's family who were at the Cavin's. We went around the table to say something we were thankful for. I gave them a thankful scavenger hunt to help think of ideas and it was so cute when we got to Bronson. He totally understood and didn't even hesitate to say "My monster truck El Torro Loco"
Here are the only pictures I took.

We set up our Christmas decorations the day after Thanksgiving. Baylee stopped by so she helped us do the tree.

I went to a baby shower for Kirsten Bennett Terry. I use to work with her. She is darling. It was held up in Ogden at her parents house. Their house is over 100 years old and I love it so much. They played the cutest game. They gave everyone a paper with probably 50 different pictures of children's book characters and we had to try to name them all. I knew a lot and her little nieces helped me with the ones I didn't know. It brought back so many great memories of reading books as a child.

2022- Week 46(Nov 14- Nov 20)

Whitney much to her displeasure grew a third wisdom tooth in the four years since she had them taken out so she had to go through wisdom teeth removal again. Anesthesia makes her cry which she did but that was it. She healed very quickly and was able to go back to work after a few days.

Melinda's birthday was on the 20th. My mom, Liz, Regan and I took her to breakfast on the 19th at Kneaders. Then I watched her kids so they could go to dinner and we made her a chocolate bundt cake. I have a great bundt cake recipe book I got from The Minimal Mom and Melinda loves bundt cakes. We sang her happy birthday and the kids ended up all sleeping over so they could have the night to themselves. Bronson woke up around 5 AM calling for me so I brought him into bed with me, Jeff and Daisy- needless to say I didn't really get any more sleep but he fell back to sleep until 8.  Aleah also came over to play with Brooklyn that night and they made a movie involving something to do with cooking.

This dish rack and rug are making me happy. I love to find inexpensive products that are cute and functional and make my life easier.

Tom and Sharon invited us to dinner and afterwards we played cards. I just love seeing Ashytn and Sharon together. They are so funny and SO much alike.

2022- Week 45(Nov 7- Nov 13)

We did Ethan's intake appointment and it ended up going long so they had to schedule another one- I was so frustrated because we had waited so very long but they ended up having a cancellation the very next day so now he is scheduled to start the IOP on November 14th. This is such a relief. He isn't happy about this because he knows what it will require but it is so nice to finally feel like we are moving forward.

I was invited to a pie night with the young women. They invited all the widows in the ward and since I am a church widow I got invited too. It was so fun. We made mini pies and then did a speed friendshipping activity. I love the young women. They are such great girls!

I found a square table clothe. I have wanted one for so long but it's not a normal size so I was ecstatic to find this. I used it this week when I hosted a baby shower for Lily Sanders. She was only in our ward for a short time. She is the Bircher's niece and her and her husband are darling. I did a bee themed shower so this table cloth fit the black white and yellow scheme perfectly.

Kim was gone one day at work so I was in charge. When I got to work it had snowed a lot and the steps to all the buildings were covered in snow. I couldn't find the shovel or any of the maintenance men so I had to try and problem solve that- in the mean time Steve showed up and called Bruce to come take care of it but not before Traci and I had to carry the heavy lunch boxes up the snow covered stairs. Then when I went to open the social hall the alarm went off and my code wouldn't work- Luckily I called John and he helped me. Then the school ended up staying later than they were supposed to which was fine because they were the only one there that day. All in all it worked out but boy was I glad when Kim came back.

For Activity Days we talked about the Day of the Dead. All the boys brought pictures of a deceased ancestor and we made a makeshift ofrenda and decorated skull cookies. I made them vegan for Brody with his allergies. They didn't taste too bad. The vegan sour cream is gross as heck but these eggs were really good.

Ally invited me and Melissa to her birthday party. We got her a school play set and her mom told me that's all they play now. She is so darling. I love that she considers me a friend.
Image

Jeff and I went to a funeral for a man that died in our ward. He was a member of the Beehive Home so Jeff didn't have to conduct his services but we wanted to pay our respects. Three people came up to me and asked if I was Marci. Finally a man approached me and said people think you are our sister because you look exactly like her. Here is a picture- I really do look a lot like her- not identical- but I can see how someone would mistake me for her. I always wanted a doppelganger.
Image

My mom was sealed to her parents this week. Jeff and I got to be proxy for them and were first sealed together and then she was sealed to us. What a special experience. They let us get ready in the brides room because it was a sealing. My grandparents are divorced but I know that God will work all those details out one day. I felt the spirit very strong and I know they were happy for my mom. Ethan, Liz and Jeremy got to be there to witness it. We went to lunch at Olive Garden afterwards to celebrate.

2022- Week 44(Oct 31- Nov 6)

Whitney asked me to find a baby picture of her that she needed for her FHE. As I was looking I ran across these Halloween pictures from when the girls were little. Also this photo of me and Whitney camping at Fish Lake. I look more like her nanny than her mother ha ha.

Jeff's golf bag broke so I have been trying to get it fixed. Everywhere I call tells me they can't fit the bag in their machines so as a last resort I took it to Sugarhouse Industries- they make tarps and things for boat and such. Then man told me it wouldn't fit in his machine either but that he would try to put a rivet in for free. He was so nice and it held up great until I got home. We are going to try a bolt and nut.

Whitney came home with a Halloween tattoo that from a distance looks all too real.

I put on my Halloween clothes to hand out candy to the trick or treaters and we only got seven kids total. It was pretty much the most boring Halloween I have ever had.

2022- Week 43 (Oct 24- Oct 30)

 First snow of the year.
Image

Our cute former neighbors the Daw's sent Ethan some donuts to tell him they were thinking of him.
Image

The missionaries came over to visit. Elders Cook and Trussell. They are really quiet at church but at our house they opened up and we had a great visit. They have invited Ethan to start teaching with them. Unfortunately a few days after this they were transferred and now we have a set of sisters. Elder Trussell is really really tall and he also loves Lego cars like Ethan. We gave them some money so they could buy some steaks. We were talking about how I always want to pay for the missionaries groceries but then there ends up being 20 in the store at once and I can never choose so now I can feel like I paid for them.

I got to take Miss Emma Dee to school again. She is my favorite. She told me that she thinks of me like family and that because of this she could share the secret that she has a crush on a boy at school.
Image

My ministering partner Patty asked me if I wanted to see a movie with her. We went and saw Lyle Lyle Crocodile. Cutest movie EVER!  I loved it so much.

Ethan's Lego collection continues to grow.

I mailed in my ballot.

I made this wreath years ago and it had gotten quite dusty and dirty. I didn't want to throw it away so I painstakingly took out every pin and washed all the squares and then Ethan helped me put them all back together. It looks amazing now.
Image

Ethan and I went to visit Julia. She was so happy to see him.
Image

I haven't had a single malasada all year and their season was coming to a close. They posted they would be at the Provo farmers market this week. I didn't really want to drive all that way but then I found out that Ashtyn was at the farmers market so I begged her to get me some. We also ended up having to go down to help her with her tires so it all worked out and the creamy goodness made my day.

I saw this post online- HA HA- I am totally going to participate.

Ethan continues to struggle. We were finally able to get him an intake appointment but it's not until November 7th.
