Party number one

Image

Owen had a Pirate party with his two cosins. (Birthdays are only days apart) Nathan was great and took on the rule of ship builder. He made the "Dark Shark"

Image

The kids loved that they could go inside of it. I didn't get it decorated like I wanted to, but they didn't care much.

Image

It survived the truck ride over to the party. It only needed minor repairs.

Image

The kids had a blast...there was a treasure hunt, and mermaid blood cupcakes, a sea monster.(forgot to take a picture of the watermelon)

Image

The capitan kept it ship afloat.

Image

And he will not abanden ship.

I am amazed by my little man. He is 5 years old and so grown up. I don't think he was ever a little boy, or a baby for that matter. he did everything earlier then his sister. I was greatful for him walking at 8 months, then I didn't have to carry around a 24lb baby.

His thoughts are so complex and he doesn't let you answer anything with a simple answer. He wants to know it all. I hope his school is ready for him. Owen is my miracle baby and he has blessed my life in many ways. I can't wait to see what this year brings. The Lord intrusted me with this sweet angel and I am grateful.

Spring Break

Image i kept myself busy in the begging, had to do something, there was only packing for camping to do.
Image I like the black, it's much better then the old brown. It looks great against the yellow wall.

Image I have much more to do, but it will get done by the end of April.

Image In case you are wondering this is what the kids did while I painted. They had six chairs and the bench. What talent.

Image Craft time, who knew it would have kept the adults busy too.
Image

Image You got to love that dirty smile.

Image This one is even better.

Image Those pics you take of yourself, they are really great, or a mess. Well, this is a mess, I'm sure camping doesn't help.

Image A very cool canvas Nathan and Dad put up. There were lots of tree's but this was nice to block the sun for the few hours it was over head.
Image Grandpa found what he likes to do. Oddly enough I didn't get much reading done, and I was really looking forward to getting through my book.

Image The kids found soemthing fun to do. After wearing away the backside of there pants, we found a box to rip apart and make sleads out of. They went earch serfing.

Image can you see it, on the back bumper of the truck, on it's way to the table. When we found him, he was about 2 feet away from Nathan, scared us all. I have to admitt we thought Mom was crazy when she thought she saw something crawling...until we saw the beedy eyes.
Image He kept snooping around, we made sure we locked everything up nice and tight.

Image He watched me for a long while. And Nathan watched him, the whole time with the flash light on him. Nathan followed him back to our tent to make sure he didn't snuggle up with the kids.

Image Roasting hot dogs for lunch. nothing like hot dogs over the fire.
Image In a tree, Owen was a little unsure, and a lot tired. Ella, like to take pictures.

Image My two men!

Image
Nothing beats foil dinners!! YUMMY
It was interesting to incircle them with the fire. Nathan did good, only had to put a couple back in the fire. Nothing like spam in foil.

Image
Oh the things i could say about this.
1. 3 generations, that's just sad.
2. where's the pitchforks?
3. you only look cute in them if you're the baby.
(good thing the one on the left is my baby!!)
go ahead and try to guess what I said to make them all smile like that. They are a handsome group of men.

Image Everyone ready for our last hike? The baby isn't ours, Nathan is just helping out.
Image I love the walking away photos. so cute. By the end of the hike, most of the kids found a walking stick like Bree.

Image This is awesome. We missed the rest of the Williams gang, but they are a good looking group.

Image This was about a 5 Foot tall rock, the kids had a fun time climbing up the rock. Nathan was standing close to Bree waiting for her fall off, but no injuries.

ImageOur very tall hill we climbed...along the way we found many quartz. The kids had a blast, picking them up and lugging them back to camp.

Some mores? in all ways.
Image
First: only marshmellows. nice and sticky.

Image
then: the forget the mellow, chocolate and cracker only!!

Image
All in your face!

Image

Clean face after a few days in the camp fire, and pollen stuck everywhere. I'm not sure how long his smooth face will last...I have to admit i miss the face hair, just a little.
