Growing up

Our little boy is growing up! Since I last posted in February, Cardon is an ace crawler and loves pulling himself up! It definitely has made life more interesting around here and has resulted in more than one bruise to the forehead. I guess that's how they learn, huh? Cardon continues to be an absolute joy to us. We constantly ask ourselves how we got such a cute, well-mannered boy, and then continue to thank Heavenly Father for him. Other events in the past couple months were mine and Cardon's trip to Missouri to see my sister Claire and her new son, Carter. We were able to completely surprise my mom who had no idea we would be there. It was priceless! Justin has been working in New Hampshire for the past month consulting for Stoneyfield Farms yogurt and will be on the project until May. It has been a huge blessing, so we appreciate all the prayers out there. They are definitely getting answered! Stay tuned for pictures from Easter and our fun spring flowers!

Under Construction

Well, one advantage to Justin not having a job is all the time he has on his hands to do home improvements. We got a steal of a deal on some flooring and a new bathroom sink, so Justin added about $5000-$7000 value to our home for less than $1000. Now if only we could pocket that cash now...So, here are the photos! We put in a pergo floor all the way from the entryway through the hall and then to the dining area and kitchen. He did a beautiful job and he is an expert now on plumbing sinks and toilets! The whole project took a solid week. There are still a few things we'd like to do (white beadboard cabinets, new countertops) but those will have to wait. At any rate, the floor makes a huge difference and I am so impressed with my husband and that he knows how to do all this stuff!

Catching up on the holidays

Hello 2009! I'm trying to catch up on things, so I'm finally getting around to some Christmas and New Year's pictures! We had a great time in Cincinnati with Grandma, Grandpa, and Aunt Kara. Then it was off to West Virginia for New Year's with Jarom and Cynthia's family. Cardon had a great time with his cousins! Justin is still looking for a job, but he did graduate from University of Phoenix with his BS in Business Finance, and we are all super proud of him!!

Okay, this isn't a baby picture, but it was so dang cool I had to include it. Justin and Jarom spent an entire day constructing an awesome Hot Wheels track that spanned half of the basement. This is just a snapshot of the car jumping over the cars, but it also did loop-de-loops, and ran through some big globe of death! We hope you all had as much fun over the holidays as we did!
