Halloween

We have Flash and Darth Vader!  Gabe kept running everywhere he went. Eli was a bit menacing, he was scaring little children with his light saber. Yeah, he took it all a bit too seriously! We went trick or treating in Aunt Vicki's neighborhood and our own, the kids had 3 baskets of candy!

Soccer- 2nd Game- Gabe & Mazie

Today was our 2nd game. I missed the first game (last Saturday  because I was at the annual Time out for women conference. I was so excited to see Gabe play today. I had noticed during some of his practices that he wasn't really going after the ball. I think somehow the concept had escaped him. He was just happy to be there!  

Mazie was moved to Gabes team as well which is really exciting. Mazie has been playing soccer for a while now so she knew what she was doing and got right in there after the ball. 

Move on Over boys, I got this!

Yes Gabe, when you are about to kick the ball, just close your eyes! That is clearly the way to get it to go where you want it! 

These two are about to collide, both ending up falling down. But as you can see, Gabe is starting to catch on. 

 Bam!  Its fierce!

 Shortly thereafter Gabe makes his very first GOAL!  

Gabe was so Stunned, he didn't even cheer for himself. It was so exciting that one of the players from the other team cheered for him!

 Interestingly, Gabe has his tongue hanging out a lot!

Reading incognito

Eli is a bookworm. He loves reading ANYTHING. He is into mysteries, horror, biographies and history. I often send him to bed and see the flashlight under his dinosaur comforter. Its hard to get mad at him. He also doesn't seem to mind reading to Gabe. 

Winter blues Vs Twizzlers

Anyone else feeling a bit of the winter blues? Don't get me wrong, I LOVE winter. I love the cold air, not sweating etc. But it is pretty gloomy outside! I saw these twizzlers at walmart and thought, gosh I love rainbows! :)

Birds

I was at my Inlaws a couple of weeks ago. It was a dark day, quiet. I looked outside and grabbed my camera. I have never seen so many birds in my life. They all flocked together. They would land and then take off together in unison. It made a huge WHOOSH! There were thousands of them. Enough to cover the entire field. It was amazing. Totally amazing.
