An appreciative pause to recognize today's date, 12/12/12….
And now I move on.
Halloween is already a distant memory, but in my efforts to keep this blog as our family photo album, here are pictures.
Our little neighborhood held its second annual Halloween scavenger hunt. We feel very fortunate to live in such a great neighborhood. (My older three kids had a piano recital that same night--Nathan's first!--so only the twins participated.)
Below, proof that we did, in fact, carve pumpkins this year, although I failed to take a single picture while we were doing it. (We carved them the weekend before Halloween with Brian's parents, who were in town for a few days.)
At the preschool Fall Festival:
The next four pictures are at the preschool Halloween Party:
Emma's last year of trick-or-treating was technically last year. But then we found out a bunch of her friends were going, so we raised our age limit. She was sweetly mortified by her costume as an 80s girl.
The other kids are all ready to go.
I posted this one just because I like the expression on Isaac's face.
Post-trick-or-treating bath:
Below, about one-twentieth of the candy haul my children acquired. I let them gorge themselves for 24 hours, and then we cleaned out the bags and eliminated the candy they didn't like. Another 24 hours of gorging, and the candy was almost gone. Next year, I may pay them $10 each to hand over all but ten pieces of candy. I just threw the last of it away last week.
