The views expressed are those of an art historian that loves the arts, with a current slant on opera. What I write is obviously my opinion and the blog is a way to put in writing thoughts and feelings one has during performances and soon after. Sometimes they are expressions of joy and others a description of puzzlement and disappointment. For sure one can live without the arts but one feels complete partaking.

I enjoy using Twitter as a means of exchanging ideas (it’s surprising how much can be crammed in 140 characters) news items, articles and the odd gardening related picture.

The operatic and visual arts community on Twitter is very strong and it keeps getting better and better.
