We entered an agreement with some exchanges wherein we are able to refund you using their money if they scam you. This feature is called the OrangeFren Guarantee. It applies to exchanges that have a green text about the Guarantee next to their name on the results page.

The OrangeFren Guarantee only applies if an exchange violates its own policies to our user's detriment and if the user reaches out to us not more than 4 weeks after the swap was created. Some exchanges have a policy that allows them to require you to identify yourself (KYC) and where you got your coins (SoF). Those exchanges have a yellow warning about their policies on the results page. The OrangeFren Guarantee does not refund users of exchanges that have this warning if they demand you undergo their verification.

On the results page you'll find the following filters:

• No JS required - services which work with JavaScript disabled.
• Never-KYC - services which never force users to undergo KYC.
• OrangeFren Guarantee - services which are part of the OrangeFren Guarantee Programme.
• Established - services listed for over a year.
• Free AML check - services that offer free AML checks to users before sending a deposit.
• No tainted surcharge - services don't charge extra based on the AML score of the incoming funds.
• Own liquidity - services that use their own liquidity to process most swaps.
• On Intercambio.app - services that are listed on Intercambio.app.
• Grade 7+ on kycnot.me - services that have a grade of at least 7 on KYCNot.Me.
• Meetup sponsor - services that sponsored at least one of our meetups.

Some services are marked as being never-KYC or as having a surcharge for tainted coins. This does not mean that they will process coins linked to criminal origins.

The services we list are usually registered businesses and would expose themselves to criminal liability if they processed coins linked to crimes. Instead, the services marked as never-KYC refund coins that don't meet their standards. Similarly, exchanges reserving the right to apply a surcharge do so with coins originating from CoinJoins, ZK L2s, and other privacy-preserving techniques.

Based on our experience, fewer than 1 in 10 000 swaps is halted and KYC is demanded. That's a >99.99% chance that you won't be asked for any information by the exchanges we list.

Please note that we do not promote ourselves to criminals, but if your funds are criminal in origin, then the chance of your swap being halted is very high.
