Paris Video
I think I will put this video from Paris here and see if anyone ever checks this site out. Not much going on here, apparently. I took this video on a terrace overlooking the Eiffel Tower. These giant light puppets were fascinating. You may want to turn off your sound--there is a lot of wind static!

Day 'O Thanks

Hi Fam!
Did everyone in the West survive the big blizzard of 2010 okay? I was worried about you all traveling for Thanksgiving. Speaking of which, where is everyone going to be for Thanksgiving? We are planning a dinner after the temple today for 33 people. Not sure how we will manage this, but it should be fun. There is no room to do anything but come in and sit at a table! I'll post pics on my blog later. I want to hear reports and see photos of everyone else's day of gross gluttony. What a great tradition! We will miss football on TV this year. Happy Thanksgiving to all my dear children and grandchildren far away. You are the gifts I am most grateful for! I will be thinking of you today!

Inquiry:
Ok, so the white comforters that James and I have been using. Picture them. Twin comforters, ilet lace around the edges. We took them from Mo and Papa in TX and never returned them.
Where did those originate? And when?
I am sorry to say, they officially did not make it after this last washing. Like, UN-USABLE, did not make it.
In fact I'm still at the computer because I have no blanket to sleep with. Just a sweaty hubby...and then some kids will join us.
Are you jealous?
'Night.

Shame On Us!!!
Naughty Family! I am going to post some happy nostalgia from my childhood to get things going again, ok?
I have so many memories that involve being very sleepy--but happy--on those funny little futons in the back of the van. Most of the memories are songs I heard there. Who knows what was going on up front--a different world in which I was not welcome. (I am drawing upon my pesky younger sibling status to evoke guilt and sympathy from the rest of you:) By the way, I can see so vividly the ceiling and dripping air conditioning vents...Also the bottoms of the seats...ok, happy songs:
Almost Paradise (Footloose Soundtrack?)
The entire Footloose Soundtrack
For The Longest Time by Billy Joel. Go find it on Youtube, It will make you happy to hear it.
Anything John Denver. Those say family vacations and Lake of the Ozarks.
My Turn on Earth Soundtrack
Just to name a few. Next time we'll talk about how Emily, Spencer, and I spent all of New Jersey & Mass roaming in the wilderness all day long, miles from home...and just where Mom thought we were...and if she ever worried...and if she probably should have worried. We almost lost Rod Stratton in that darn river.
Wish I had some old photo to post. Anyone?

Happy Birthday Amy, Grandpa, and Hannah!
Tonight we celebrated Amy and Hannah's birthdays, and we are sorry that Grandpa Green could not be with us for his birthday too! We hope that you have a speedy recovery. We missed your wit and charm tonight and look forward to having you and grandma to dinner again soon. No one tells a story like grandpa. You are so full of love and are so interested in people that you always make it a party wherever you go.
Hannah is such a fun cousin for our kids, especially our girls. You are so sweet and lovely. We love your excitement for live and particularly for all thing princessey and pink. Is it really possible that you are already five years old!?
Amy thank you for the wonderful sister, aunt and friend you are. We love you! We love your enthusiasm for life and for books... we gathered in the living room after dinner tonight to read childrens' books for our 4th annual rating of juvenile literature. Your happiness is contagious.
I also love outings with aunt Amy because she has a way to make the kids excited about everything. Not only things are fun with her but she never misses a chance to teach her children, nieces, nephews and her sister in law. How many times had I come back from an outing with Amy with a new perspective on parenting! Your positive influence on my rearing my children is powerful.
I am grateful to Amy for the many times she has helped me. Once I have returned home from work to find that Amy had stopped by with her children to pick up and clean the childrens' playroom. I am grateful beyond words. Thank you for your love in action.
We feel bad that in our eagerness to read books we did not play the traditional birthday game with Amy and Hannah, so here is the deal. You all need to leave a comment below and say one thing that you like about Amy, one thing you like about Grandpa, and one thing that you like about Hannah. We love you all and feel so lucky to be related to you!
