Features of 3d Paint software explained in detail

If you are new to design and don’t know how the software is used, the Following are the detailed features of the Paint 3D. 

Magical Brushes

The 3D paint software has a vast range of magical colour tools, including Markers: used for solid, opaque, marker-style strokes, and Calligraphy Pen: used to create elegant, classic lines with adjustable thickness. Watercolour: used to create a natural, real-world watercolour vibe in the design. The Pixel Pen is used to create pixel-perfect edges on the canvas, achieving a 3D look.

2D Object Tools

The 2D shapes in the paint application are used to add two-dimensional shapes, lines, and curves to the Canvas and complete it as per the requirements. The 2D object page is based on two Sections.

Section no 1 has the following items mentioned:

• Straight Line: used to draw a 2-dimensional line on the canvas, where it can be used for different purposes, like connecting one point to another
• 3 Point Curve: The 3 Point curve is used to create a line with multiple points. It is mainly used for controlled curved lines. Just hover the 3 Point curve over the canvas, click the mouse, and draw the line. You now have a line with three controllable points. 
• 4-point curve: The 4-point curve option creates a 4-point line, with two bendable points according to preference and 2 points specifying the line’s direction. It is mainly used to draw winding rivers or rollercoaster tracks and to create swoosh logos with multiple curves.
• 5-point curve: The 5-point curve is primarily used for more complex structures and shapes that are most difficult to build. Its use is rare, but it is mainly employed for complex structures or designs. 

Section no 2:
If it feels more challenging and complex to create a shape or type of object, there is also a vast library of pre-made shapes and icons that can be used in the canvas, these shapes and icons are useful as there would be no need for designing them manually and can save hours, the library of the shapes available are the: Pentagon, Hexagon, Diamond, Up Arrow, Star, Lightning Bolt Heart.

3D Object Tools

In addition to 2D objects, the software offers 3D tools that allow users to design in 3D on the canvas, adding depth and detail to their designs and characters. They can also access 3D doodles, such as tube brush, soft edge, and sharp edge. In addition to these in the 3D shapes section, there are prebuilt 3D models of women, men, dogs, cats, and fish that, if needed in the design, can be used directly from the shapes without needing to design them manually.

The complete section is explained below:

• 3d Doodles: the 3d doodles in the 3d paint software are just like 2d lines but in three dimensions, where users can use the 3D lines, with different shapes like tube brush with a tube type shape, soft edge lines: these lines are with varying options of ending and softer edges compered to the tube lines, and the last Sharp Edge lines shape: these lines are also with multiple ending and scating options and have sharp edges.
• 3D Objects: Just like the 2D shapes section, there are plenty of pre-built 3D objects in the 3D shapes section of Paint 3D that can be used on the canvas according to the user’s preferences. The 3d objects include: cube, sphere, hemisphere, cone, pyramid, cylinder, tube, capsule, curved cylinder and doughnut. 
• 3D models: other than the shapes, lines, and all these there are also 3D models available in the 3d paint software which are pre built made that can be easily used in the design, where there would be no need to waste time on creating each model instead these pre build models are free and best to be used, the models include, man, woman, fish, dog and cat.

These aren’t just shapes or models in the 3D shapes section. The shapes, lines, and models can be further customised by changing their styles, choosing different colour types, flipping them, and cropping them according to the design. The software provides customisation beyond the default options. 

Professional Texts

The Paint 3d software also has the option to add professional 2D or 3D texts to the canvas that you are designing, through which 2D or 3D texts can be used for headings, standard texts, paragraphs, names or memorable quotations.

Once you open the 3D paint software on your PC, in the middle of the top, there is an option for text. Click on it, and a vast panel of text options will open where there are different types of text settings, colours, alignment and other features, including some of them are explained below: 

• 2D and 3D text: when users open the Texts panel in the first section on the right, the 2D and 3D text options appear, where users have to choose which one to use, select the preferred format drag and drop a box in the canvas and type the text in that specific box, and choose the fonts and styling of that text make it perfect from the panel as per the requirements.
• Fonts: with the 2D and 3D options, the software also allows users to select text fonts, with popular options such as Arial, sans-serif families, and more. 
• Adjust size and colour: in addition to the text styling, the software also offers the control of text size and colour where users can choose the size as per the design and can choose a specific colour too where there is a vast library of colors available by default or can use the custom color feature if users don’t find the color that they aimed for. 
• Text formality: with the text’s formality, we can set the font style, whether users want to keep it straight. They are mainly used for paragraphs, descriptions and long texts. Bold text is primarily used for headings, subheadings, CTAs, and attention-grabbing text; underlined text is primarily used for Web hyperlinks and quotes.
• Alignment: With the alignment option, users can align the text at the start, middle, or end of the canvas. In addition to this feature, users can align the text manually too using the mouse. Just click and hold the text, then drag it to the location the user wants.

Other than these best features there are some more customization options also with the texts like: select all, Multi select, cut, Copy, paste, delete, flip right, flip left, flip vertical and flip horizontal, which can be needed as per the requirements and these are some extra and handy features which are must with all type of text shapes and other objects in the software. 

Engaging Stickers and textures

The stickers provided in the paint software are tiny prebuilt graphics that can be used when designing any project in the 3D painting software. The stickers add more creativity and fun to the design, and they can be edited to different dimensions, such as two-dimensional and three-dimensional. There are various types of stickers available in the software, and they are explained below: 

• Basic Stickers: There are a vast number of basic stickers available, and they are interesting and easy to use. They can also be edited to 2D and 3D later. Some of these stickers are: star sticker, planet sticker, cloud sticker, sun sticker, and many more.
• Textures: the textures in the painting software are like a creative foundation interface used at the start of any design. These simple interfaces come in different types, such as bark, concrete, fur, gravel, hedge, marble, sand, and wood.
• Custom stickers: if any of the available stickers in the software do not match your design, users can also create custom stickers by finding the best stickers online, downloading them, and uploading them to the software to create their own custom stickers in the design.

Canvas

Canvas is a medium where designers create designs, and it can be of different sizes and shapes, such as vertical and horizontal. At the same time, there is a separate section for the canvas in the painting 3d software. All the features and use cases of the canvas are explained below: 

• Show or hide canvas: When the canvas option is on, artists can paint or create designs only on the white canvas. When the canvas option is turned off, users can create visible designs across the screen. This option is used when users want to create designs without any space limitations. 
• White or transparent canvas: while users can choose to design in a particular canvas, they don’t like that canvas with a white background, so they can choose a transparent background to show off their creativity and try something different. 
• Resize canvas: while by default the canvas is rectangular, users are interested in a canvas with different height and width so they can adjust it through the dots available at the top, button, right and left, and make it as per their requirements, or they can resize the canvas through the height and width feature available under the transparent canvas option.

3D library

The 3D library is the section where pre-made 3D models and mockups are available for easy import into the design, free of charge. In contrast, the 3d painting software provides a large number of free models, some of which are mentioned below: 

Importing these models into the design is very easy. Search for your model category, choose the one that matches the design theme, and click that model. It will take less time. Click Import, and the 3D prebuilt model will be imported to your canvas. 

Effects

Effects in the paint software are used to change the overall environment and colour of the canvas. The initial default colour of the canvas looks dull, so effects are used to change the canvas colour and background to give it a more beautiful vibe. These can be applied to both 3D and 2D designs. 

The following are some essential features of the effect:

• Filters: filters in the paint software are like pre-made presets. Clicking each one automatically changes the whole environment. Once the user clicks it, the canvas background and colour both change automatically, becoming more contrasted. The canvas becomes light, and the background becomes dark, making the canvas more visible. 
• Light wheel: after selecting a colour, users can adjust it through the light wheel feature, which helps them choose a more perfect colour in a filter. The light wheel can be adjusted 360 degrees, and users can choose any colour that suits them.
