Planning is well underway and it’s looking like along with the GREAT COMPANY, we are also going to be having a GREAT TIME. Allow us to give you the update:
Grandma Pat, Barbie Adams and Randee Mitchell have met and have got the ball rolling. Our main goal is to get the Holbrook’s back together and having fun, ALL OF US! We all used to be pretty dang good at it too and it’s time we do it again.
As per request of Grandma, she’d like the older Grandkids to be on, what we like to call, the SUB- COMMITTEE CHAIRS. Allow us to introduce the people involved…
Sub-Committee Chairs
BJ Holbrook (Contact Information Specialist) will be compiling ALL contact information for the entire family. This will include names, physical address, phone numbers, cell numbers, email, blog addresses, birthdays, anniversaries, etc. If the law comes looking, we’ll know exactly where to find you! Please begin to email BJ at [email protected] to help get the ball rolling on this!
Heather Emery (Family Gossip Family News Specialist) will be keeping tabs on the family and announcing (via the family blog, see Amber below) all the latest and greatest that is happening with in the Holbrook clan. For example, weddings, babies, family updates, new homes, moving, etc. Nothing is off limits so watch out everyone. Please email her with this information at [email protected] so she can keep things updated. (Heather will also be providing a newsletter with what’s been going on with all the Uncle/Aunts families in time for the reunion, so email her a short description as well. To clarify: Anne will write a short synopsis for her entire family and email it to Heather, Steve for his, Ben for his, etc. etc.)
Amber Caldwell (Holbrook Family Blog Specialist) will be creating and maintaining our official HOLBROOK FAMILY BLOG. This will provide a main page for Grandma (and everyone else) to link to all of the cousins sites. Additionally it will serve as a direct communication for the entire family, posting announcements, updates and dates to remember. We will be doing some fun things on this so you all will want to make it a ‘favorite’ site to visit weekly. For information and announcements to be posted please email Amber at [email protected].
Angie Stewart (Family Genealogy Specialist) will be compiling personal sketches, artifacts, old family photos, copies of ‘notes’ and ANYTHING else that is of sentimental value and worth for all our families to be able to have. She will be putting everything into books that will be made available to anyone who has a desire to have a copy. Additionally she will be keeping records of family reunions and all the important stuff that is going on in the family. Thankfully, she will also make times available to teach those who would like to learn how to do genaology work. Summer Busjahn (Family ‘BIGGEST LOOSER’ and Fitness Specialist) will be putting together a ‘BIGGEST LOOSER’ competition for the family to get involved in. There will be money involved for the winner’s people, so get excited!!! More to come on that. Additionally she is going to help put together HOLBROOK teams for those wanting to participate in marathons, relays, etc. throughout the year. Emily Lewis/Brook Clark (Family Games Specialists) will be helping us to plan some fun activities for the reunion and some other stuff they’ve got up their sleeves throughout the coming years. They may be contacting you all to help locate supplies needed for these. Contact Emily at [email protected]
Paige Moulton/Jackie Lodder (Holbrook Family Cookbook Specialists) will be compiling recipes for the first ever Holbrook Family Cookbook. Please email Paige with any of the GREAT recipes you have in your repertoire at [email protected].
Raini Tucker (Logistics Specialist) is going to help us round up the needed ‘stuff’ for the reunion. She will probably be emailing you to help her locate all this stuff, so be on your toes. You may contact her at [email protected]
Holly Johnston/Cassie Hansen (Official Photographers) are going to be taking photos of the reunions and other major events we may have. We will add these to the Genealogy books Angie will compile in order to keep track of and document them for Genealogy purposes. (Really we just want to be able to look back at all the bad hairstyles.)
*Those of you who are not listed above may be thinking one of the following things. A) “I’d like to be involved too!!” OR B) “Whew, I flew under the radar!” NOT SOOOO FAST… many of you will be called to help with these projects so, don’t get too comfortable.

Official Holbrook Family Reunion Itinerary is that we plan to entertain you and feed you.
Entertainment
In addition to the good conversations and the comic relief, we will have 3 bounce houses (2 for the bigger kids/1 for the little kids), a dunk tank and other games (with prizes) planned for your enjoyment.
Food
We will be providing the main course for everyone and will be making assignments for the appetizers, side dishes and desserts for us all to share amongst each other. It’s all based on the RSVP notices we have, so please, if you suddenly can’t come or know of someone who is suddenly planning on coming, let us know. Please see the assignments at the end of this email.
FYI….Cheryl Holbrook & Dr. Scott Moulton will be on site as the official ‘what the crap were you thinking’ FIRST AID Specialists as well. If it’s too big of a deal, that’s what 911 is for.
Now some of the IMPORTANT stuff.
FINANCING: Obviously as Grandma Pat said, “Fun doesn’t pay for itself.” With that in mind and after talking with Grandma we’ve decided to ask each family (Ward, Steve, Gary, John, Dan, Ben, Ann, Russell, and Jill) to each contribute $100. However your families want to collect that is up to you (if you want your children to each pay some in order to make up your families $100, or whatever…again, it’s up to you.). Please get your money to Grandma Pat NO LATER then June 30th. If there are any problems or concerns, please call Grandma.

The family bond that all nine kids have is timeless - a phenomenal characteristic taught by their loving parents, our amazing grandparents, & terrific great grandparents. We are the luckiest kids to be loved by two extraordinary people.

At the request of our lovable, devoted Mother/Grandma/Great Grandma, I have started a blog where we all can insert pictures or journal our families, with the idea that she will be able to look every day & watch our families grow.
