Hiya, I'm Elly (Silentt) For many years I have been running the infrastructure for VRDancing and my own projects, providing the hardware required where I can find it. This has mostly been out of my own pocket, and while at the beginning the cost was manageable, funding multiple colocated servers and networking infrastructure has rapidly increased over the last year. Due to the current climate surrounding AI, the costs for infrastructure around the world has skyrocketed, resulting in a cost of about $10,300 per year to keep VRDancing running. This patreon directly funds these costs, going to the upkeep and monthly costs involved in keeping the VRDancing servers running as well as funding work on systems that support VRD such as VRCVideoCacher, Error Reporting, and more. Supporting this infrastructure allows us to keep reliably hosting these events and all the world features involved for VRDancing, without them we would be at the mercy of the youtube.
