HWBot

HWBot is a website were you can browse processor and videocard specifications, and compare the performance based on thousands of submitted results. In contrary to ordinary hardware sites, the numbers and charts are not based on the measurement of 1 person, but on hundreds, thousands of different persons. HWBot is also an overclocking competition site. If you like tweaking your computer, you can send in your results and be handed out awards for best performing videocard / processor, etc. You can also join a team and compete to other teams. HWBOT started 2005 as a school task by Frederik Colardyn, but due to large success development continued after graduation. For the first 18 months the HWBOT crew existed solely from Richba5tard (Frederik), a former Madshrimps reviewer. As popularity tripled each 6 months, additional crew members were necessary. Things really sped up when Mtzki joined, intellectual father of some key HWBOT features like HWBoints. Once Saucy joined, a walking video card library, the video card database grew significantly, making HWBOT an excellent resource for video card specifications. Sadhiq recently joined to maintain the processor specifications, at which he’s doing a great job too. Massman is our primary result moderator, who looks after the validity and consistency of the submitted benchmark result, removing all cheaters instantly. 2009, Massman (Pieter-Jan Plaisier) started working on the development of HWBot full time, supported by RichBa5tard who was still taking care of the coding side of this project. Pieter-Jan eventually moved to Taiwan to improve vendor relations further and have better contacts to the industry. Over a time of 8 years, Massman had a huge impact on the OC community by running new types of competition and bringing OC all around the world with the HWBot World Tours. 2017, Massman joined EKWB and Frederik Colardyn continued to manage HWBot. 2020, Roman Hartung (der8auer) and Eike Salow (founder of Thermal Grizzly) aquired HWBot to improve it further.
