Christmas Party

This year Carter & I were able to make it over to Bear Lake for the Cardon Christmas party the weekend after Christmas. It had snowed a lot but the roads weren't actually all that bad..I rode over with my parents & then back with my brother so luckily I didn't have to drive in the snow. The party was fun, it was good to see family I don't get to see very often & my grandma & grandpa Cardon are too cute!

Carter's First Christmas

Christmas this year was a blast! Carter loved all his new toys & especially the wrapping paper :) Christmas morning we drove out to my parents in the blizzard & Christmas night we went over with Justin's family & opened even more presents. It was so much fun to spend time with family & realise how blessed we are to have such great families so close to us.

Carter was such a fun little character on Christmas & was so excited for all his new toys-he really loves the ones that sing & make noise. We are so thankful for our little family!!! Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas!

Christmas Eve

For Christmas Eve we went over to my aunt Jill's house with all of my mom's side of the family...It snowed a little bit, but the drive wasn't bad at all. We ate yummy food, exchanged gifts, & played a dollar gift game! Carter loved all the attention & was a happy camper like always.

First Tooth

Carter's first tooth popped through on Christmas night! Kinda funny because I checked on Christmas morning because he was drooling a little more than normal-but nothing-then on Christmas night I had my fingers by his mouth & felt something poke me & sure enough his first bottom tooth had popped through...Yay! He is 6 months & 1 week old...it looks like its time to bring on the teeth :DYou can't see his tooth in this picture-I attempted to get one & it just wasn't happening-he sticks his tongue out every single time.

Relaxing weekend

We didn't really do much this weekend- so it was nice to just be able to relax & spend time as a family! Friday we got all of our christmas shopping done, which is nice to have over...Carter was such a trooper & experienced his first time sitting up in the grocery cart & he loved it!

We are still working on the kitchen-we did have all the cabinets painted & put back on but we weren't so sure about the color-so we sanded them all down on Friday night & Kody is going to help Justin paint them with his gun-that way they will be smooth & then we will glaze them so they have a little antique look to them. Its been quite a process :) luckily no one ever comes over to see the disaster of our kitchen right now!

Carter is still just being his cute & so happy self! He is almost too good of a baby :) Hope everyone had a good weekend...Christmas will be here before we know it!!!

6 Month Shots

Another day of shots :( This time I had to hold him too cause I made the appointment during the day...They really weren't too bad-just a few little cries after each poke & then he was back to smiling once it was all done. No more shots until June! YES!!!

6 Months Old

Our little Cartertack is 6 months old today...He LOVES Diesel-he could sit & watch him all day & the more Diesel is in his face-the more he likes it! He loves to play 'catch' with dad...Justin will throw his little football to him & he'll laugh & laugh. He is getting really good at sitting up & doesn't tip over unless he reaches out for his toys. He still loves his food :) he mainly likes carrots, sweet potatoes & apple sauce-not so sure about peas. He still wakes up at night-usually around 2 & 6 but it varies...i'm just enjoying waking up & cuddling him because I know here pretty soon he'll be cruising around & won't want to be held. He likes to be tickled & tossed around-the rougher the better!...He is such a happy little guy still & loves new faces & when strangers talk to him. Almost all the time he has a big grin on his face. Time sure is flying by & we can't get enough of him! ...We love you Carter!!!

We had our family pictures taken today & they turned out so cute! Carter had just woke up from a nap-so he smiled in almost every single one :) We lucked out on the weather-it wasn't too cold-but by the time we were done poor little Carter was shivering...

On Saturday Justin went & got us a real Christmas tree- we had planned on just picking out a little one for our living room-but he came home with this huge one-we had to cut three times so it would fit in our house...I have to admit he did pick out a really good tree though.

We ended up putting it in the window of the hunting room so that it wouldn't take up half of our living room. Justin was so excited to get it put up- he has a lot of Christmas spirit now that we have Carter-it is cute!...Now we just have to hope our house doesn't start on fire since Justin is anti-fake Christmas trees :)

Sittin' up

For this past week Carter has been really close to sittin' up on his own- with a little support of the boppy he can do it all by himself. Sometimes he tromples over forward but he almost has it down!

Santa Clause!

On Saturday Carter got to see Santa & Ms Santa Clause for the first time. He of course isn't old enough to be scared of him or know who he is -but Santa gave him a candy cane so he was as happy as could be.

Loving the candy cane- He would not take it out of his mouth...he was going to town chewing on it, so when he finally broke a piece off I had to take it away...he was definitely mad about it.

We can't wait for Carter's first Christmas & being able to spend more time with family & friends!!

Crib Time

On Sunday night we decided we better start getting Carter use to sleeping in his crib -since he is pretty much too big for his bassinet now-... So far he is sleeping the same & seems to like it... & believe it or not it hasn't been too hard on me to have him in the other room instead of right next to our bed. :)

5 1/2 Month Check-up

Carter weighed in at 20 pounds- (90th percentile) & is 28 inches long- (95 percentile)... He is a big, healthy, & happy boy!!!

Thanksgiving

This year for Thanksgiving we were able to do both of our families. Wednesday night we went to Justin's parents & then Thursday day we went with my mom's side of the family out to my aunts house...Both turkey dinners were really really good!!

All Jumped Out

Just lately Carter has started to love his horsey jumper-he's finally got the hang of it. We upped the level a little bit so he can barely reach the floor, so he jumps like crazy!

...He was jumping away & I seen him start to rub his eyes-so I put his blankie up by him & about two minutes later he was sound asleep! He is too fun-we just can't get enough of him! :)

Once he figured how to tip his head back & get it to come out-he loved it. He loves to hold onto the handles & tip it back himself...Except most of it just went down his shirt because it came out too fast for him to swallow cause he was so excited :)
