I uploaded 15 Trax yesterday or the day before, time is irrelevant to me so I forget. I think it's been like 3 months since I used anything social media adjacent. Anyway, these are mock-ups of 2 separate projects that I'll be completing... In... The future... Idk when. But I just wanted to share what my little process looks like.

Aesthetically they're pretty distinct, one batch is a sound tribute to the 80s rock and roll revival of the 50s, I particularly used Jerry Lee lewis' self titled reboot (1979? 1980?) as a model for how I wanted it to sound. The other batch is all me, heavily influenced by oldies pop, Lawrence welk, Warren zeon/Randy Newman weirdness, and silly sounds. I consider things unconcerned with being seen as 'serious art' to be the highest form of art. Laugh out loud.

Here's a breakdown of some of.my favourite trax:

This track is so fucking crazy lmao. It took FOREVER to do the piano just right and I still had to directly edit the midi to fix some timing errors. There's still timing errors, particularly in the solo, but they're good errors. I love the blippity bloop solos. It's silly, but sounds so good to me. Awesome

This is one of my fave songs ever. I love how not serious the piano arrangement is. I was pretty nonchalant when coming up with it. Just fucking around tbh, but it turned out great

This is a track I wrote about a drug dealer who's trying to win over a girl by giving her free weed. I don't condone these kinds of things, and I certainly don't think they're funny, but I grew up around these kind of scumbags, and darkness is where I go to for stories by default. I find this kind of evil to be as fascinating as it is pathetic.

This one is about neurodivergence and being a weird kid. For some reason, I was picturing Olivia Rodrigo but as a person on the autistic spectrum. What a sweet girl :)

This one's my favourite of the bunch, and it's so SILLY! I was thinking of Lawrence welks 'calcutta' melody when determining how to approach the organ. My buddy absolutely hates it and referred to it as a 'circus organ' lmao. Funny guy, and I agree, except I actually love it hehehe

This one is notable cause @sevenseize favourited it. An actual celebrity. Wow. I was thinking of the beach boys 'smile' aborted project when writing it, with the suddenly changes and abrupt ' splice-edit-like' feel of the bridge and stuff. It's also a mockery of my own agoraphobia and what I would consider a perfect relationship in a really corrupt and sad way. Hahaha

This one is friggin awesome. That piano riff and organ riff working in conjunction sounds really special and transcendent to me. Beautiful if I do say so myself. Like an eagle soaring over a canyon, or whatever

This one's a love song about dismemberment. The lyrics need to be edited somewhat, but it's basically about medical malpractice gone even more horribly wrong than what would ever happen in reality. I did the goofy wah wah clavinet part in one take without any planning, believe it or not.

That's all, thanks
