Ildinek az ötleteit megvalósítani mindig kihívás :) Ezen a tablón a maroskeresztúri katolikus templom belsejének néhány részletét próbáltam megörökíteni. Volt egy kis munka vele, de remélem felismerhető :)

I tried to capture some details of the inside of a catholic church into paper. It's not exactly like a painting, and quilling the smallest details is not quite possible on this scale (the piece of mdf is 30x35 cm), but I think it's recognizable :)

papír virágcsokor / paper flower bouquet

Mónikának, rengeteg szeretettel, közelgő esküvője alkalmával :) Sok boldogságot kívánok!
Piros-fehér szegfűket készítettem szalvétából, könnyű, puffos kis csokor lett belőle.

I made this little bouquet for Mónika, with lots of love, with the occasion of her oncoming wedding. I wish her all the happiness in the world!
The carnations are made from tissue paper, so the bouquet is very light and fluffy.

gyertyatartó / candle holder

Láttam valahogy a világhálón egy nagyon érdekes kézműves gyertyatartót. Talpas üvegpohárra ragasztottak szirom formájú papírdarabokat, s a végeredménynek valamiféle virág alakja lett. Nagyon mutatós és elegáns volt, esküvőkre, különleges alkalmakra ajánlották. Addig izgatta a fantáziámat, hogy valami módon én is ki kellett próbáljam. Mivel talpas üvegpoharam nincs itthon (volt 6 darab, de sorra mind eltört, a férjemmel borkedvelők vagyunk :) ), improvizálnom kellett. Egy üres műanyag palacknak a tetejét vágtam le, felfordítottam, s erre ragasztottam az egyszerű fénymásoló papírból kivágott szirmokat. A papírragasztó nem nagyon fogta oda a papírt a műanyaghoz, a szirmok állandóan estek le amíg meg nem száradtak teljesen, úgyhogy legközelebb ezen változtatnom kell. A belsejébe csak bele kell tenni a gyertyát, óvatosan meggyújtani, és máris megvan a csodálatos hangulatvilágítás. Persze lehet színespapírt is használni, vagy színes műanyagpalackot, így színt is ad az estének, nem csak fényt :)

I saw an interesting handmade candle holder once on the internet. It was a wine glass decorated with paper elements and the result resembled some kind of flower, a lotus maybe. It was very decorative and elegant, was suggested as a centerpiece for wedding tables or other special occasions. I wanted to try to make something like it, but because I don't have wine glasses at home (...any more... I had 6, but my husband and I like to drink some wine occasionally, and they all broke eventually :) ) I had to improvise. I cut off the top 10 centimeters of a transparent plastic bottle, cut out some petal shapes from white copy paper and glued them to the plastic top. I used crafting glue, but wasn't strong enough, the petals kept falling down. Now they're dried and the candle holder is a bit safer to handle. I put a tealight in the middle and there you go, some moodlighting for a romantic evening :) Of course coloured paper can be used as well, or coloured plastic bottles if you want to add more effect.

Legújabb alkotásom ez a quilling virágos tabló.

Sokat nézelődöm a világhálón, és csodálom rengeteg tehetséges ember munkáját, ehhez a képhez az ihletet itt találtam. Claire csodálatos dolgokat tud összehozni, minden munkája rendkívüli.

Ennekt a tablónak az alapja préseltlemez, a keret pedig kartonpapír, amit utólag fényes lakkal vontam be (a csillogás hatásos :) )

This is my latest creation.

I always admire the works of many talented people, and the inspiration for this one was Claire's quilled picture. Actually I love all her creations, she's such an amazing artist!

I used a piece of 3 mm thick MDF (medium-density fibreboard) as a base for the picture, the frame is handmade from cardboard, and lacquered with transparent enamel to be shiny.

Ez a másik falióra amit húsvét előtt készítettem. Ezt is háromdimenziós virágokkal képzeltem el, ezért lettek ezek a kis borzos margaréták. Ez az óra kicsit eltér a megszokott sablonomtól, dehát a változás mindig jó. A számokhoz "Wide Latin" betűtípust használtam, halványzöld kartonpapírból vágtam ki őket, ami eléggé nyűgös munka volt, mivel a magasságuk alig éri el a másfél centimétert.

This is the other wall clock I made before Easter. I wanted to make 3d flowers on this one, too, so I decided to go with these fringed daisy-like flowers to give the clock a more joyful, cheery look. This wall clock is a little bit different from my previous patterns, however, change is always welcomed. I used "Wide Latin" font for the numbers, cut them out from a pale green cardstock which was a pretty difficult task, since their height barely reached 1.5 cm. But there's a good contrast, so I'm pleased with the result :)

Húsvét körül faliórákat készítettem. Ez az egyik. Ilyen fajta virággal most először kísérletezem, itt láttam hogyan készül, s nagyon megtetszett, ki kellett próbáljam. A virágok nagyon mutatósak, biztosan fogok még készíteni üdvözletre is. A levelek halványzöldek, sajnos a fényképezőgépem nem adja vissza a színeket olyan élethűen...

I've been making wall clocks before Easter. This is one of them. I've seen some pretty flower tutorials on youtube and thought I should give it a try and decorate my clock with them. I learned how to make the spiral roses here, liked them very much, and I will certainly make some more for cards and pictures later on. The leaves are pale green, unfortunately my camera doesn't capture the colours so accurately...
