Plain Clip overview
Plain Clip removes formatting from copied text. Additionally, it can be configured to perform one or more additional actions such as removal of trailing whitespace, conversion to ASCII etc.
With the exception of the preferences window, Plain Clip does not have a user interface, which makes it ideal for using it from hotkey/launcher applications such as Spark or LaunchBar or even typing utilities such as TypeIt4Me and TextExpander.

I've used this little gem for many years and so it seems past time to write a review. Plain Clip is not a full featured text cleaner. If that's what you need there are other options, including SmartWrap and TextSoap. But for quickly and easily stripping formatting, like text size, color and style, from text for a clean paste in e-mail, for instance, or simply for making notes, Plain Clip does the job nicely. I keep it handy in my Dock.
