7th Polaron Day (17-18 May 2018)
The Polaron Day 2018 conference will be held at the University Park Campus the University of Nottingham on the 17th and 18th of May.
Polaron Day is focused (but not limited to) the theory of open quantum systems strongly coupled to their environments. Other topics of interest are tensor networks, path integrals or Keldysh theory. These topics are very relevant for quantum technological applications within quantum information theory, quantum sensing, or quantum thermodynamics.
The Nottingham meeting will be the seventh installment in a series of successful conferences, previously held at Heriot-Watt, Cambridge, Manchester, Southampton, Copenhagen, and Dublin.
Polaron Day 2018 will also be merged with the Fourth Open Quantum Meeting, funded by the London Mathematical Society.
