Everything you need to monitor websites and APIs and be notified when there are problems.

Simple, focused monitoring without the bloat.

🌐

Multi-Region Probes

Every check runs from San Francisco, New York City, and Amsterdam simultaneously. Know if the problem is global or regional.

Timing Breakdown

Full timing breakdown: DNS lookup, TCP connect, TLS handshake, time-to-first-byte, and content transfer.

📈

Apdex Scoring

Understand real user satisfaction at a glance. Apdex scores distill response times into a single meaningful number.

🔔

Email & Webhook Alerts

Get notified where you already work. Route alerts to an email address or any HTTP endpoint via webhooks.

📋

Public Status Pages

Give your users a branded status page with real-time uptime data. No extra setup required.

🛠

Deploy probes in seconds

Add a URL and be done. No agents to install, no YAML to write, no config files to manage.

How it works

Four steps. Under a minute.

1

Add your endpoint

Enter the URL you want to monitor. Probes start to fire every minute.

2

We probe from every region

Probes run from San Francisco, New York City, and Amsterdam. Each captures full connection timings.

3

See results instantly

Response times, uptime percentage, Apdex scores, and timing breakdowns in a clean dashboard.

4

Know when things break

Set up email or webhook alerts and get notified the moment a probe detects downtime or degraded performance.

Every millisecond accounted for

Each probe captures six distinct timing phases so you know exactly where latency lives.

Name Lookup

Time spent resolving the hostname to an IP address via DNS. A slow lookup often points to a misconfigured or distant DNS resolver.

Connect

The TCP handshake — the time from sending SYN to receiving SYN-ACK. This reflects the raw network distance between the probe and your server.

TLS Handshake

Time to negotiate the TLS session after TCP connects. Certificate chain depth, cipher selection, and OCSP stapling all affect this.

TTFB

Time to first byte — the wait between sending the request and receiving the first byte of the response. This is your server's think time.

Response

Time to download the full response body after the first byte arrives. Large payloads or slow transfer rates show up here.

Total

The complete round trip — DNS through response body. This is what your users actually experience end to end.

Built for humans, not dashboards

Most monitoring tools are built for enterprise ops teams. Probes is built for developers and small teams who ship their own infrastructure.
