ProCodeCG Kids Regular Coding Kids – Open Topics – 2 Sep 2017

ProCodeCG Open Topics Kids Coding Class 🙂

These girls, Echa and Aidia arrived early 🙂

They’re ready to learn more about programming with Minecraft 🙂

Echa and Aidia started to learn Minecraft Designer before they start coding with JavaScript on Spigot Server 🙂

Neila joined the group of Minecraft Modding with Echa and Aidia 🙂

They logged in to the same Spigot Server so they can play and code together 🙂

Capt. Faris (grey jacket) helped the girls with starting up the server and logging in to it 🙂

Ain! So excited to see the progress 🙂

Ain has created an amazing game with nine levels 🙂

The game is very well and carefully designed 🙂

Each levels offers different challenges *that escalates in an unpredictable way 😀

Ain has also created another game, a very detailed game with animations

He creates LOTS of sprites

and each sprite has LOTS of images for animations

This one is totally a detailed and determined kid 🙂

The game is about a watering can that can walk (while animating)

and when it approaches the plant and water it, the plant will grow 🙂

the code of how the plant changing sprite to give growing animation 🙂

And after demoing those two awesome games, Ain created another one

He hasn’t explained how this game work

because after Vian arrived, Ain was told to give ideas to Vian 😉

so they teamed up to create games together 🙂

Emma was still working on the Tic-Tac-Toe project

She was in the process of creating data structure and algorithm to make computer chooses the best possible move

She developed some functions and started to list move possibilities

the SPOTS variable shows the possible positions to move. The algorithm still choose the move closer to the upper left cell. Will be improved after the weighting process has been figured out.

Very busy doing his research on ProCodeCG Attendance List with Face Recognition 🙂

Faris was doing some training to his code

So it will recognize his face and tell the system that he has logged in 🙂

And then he started to train the code with different datasets so it will recognize different person 😉

ProCodeCG Kids Regular Coding Class – Open Topics – 5 Aug 2017

Yeaaah, open topics because each week we always have something new to learn 😉

Capt. Faris start learning new java syntax 😀 He is always doing research for different topics each time 🙂

and he always to split time between researching and teaching 😀

Nadine learned some basic programming for warming up

Gyan was given a task to do Arduino-Minecraft research

because Gyan is very fluent with servers, mods and plug ins related to Minecraft 🙂

Azriel learned to create a different game today 🙂

We had a newcomer 🙂 Neila 🙂

Neila likes Minecraft a lot so we get started with Intro to Programming with Minecraft 🙂

After becoming familiar with programming, Neila will learn some JavaScript and how to code in Minecraft 🙂

Today Faris learned some C# programming 🙂

Cinta (right) was so busy preparing for our Exhibition next month 🙂

She’s got lots of plan and didn’t really want to share it 😀

Cinta had plans with ESPectro, Thunkable and Minecraft

What we’re allowed to see is what she was doing in Minecraft 🙂

Vian had new ideas for Minecraft and GameMaker

And he likes to discuss with Jundy 🙂 Vian also picked some ideas from Nico’s and Awa’s GameMaker

Nico had finished his break out game today 🙂

Nico had lots of tutors today, including Capt. Awa (whose switched from working on ESPectro to assisting Nico instead :D)

They have more than one balls in the game

and they add more… 😀

Tinkering on Minecraft. Was assigned to do research on how to control Arduino from Minecraft 🙂

And then Koosha started to connect from Minecraft to Arduino

But the documentation was not good, we couldn’t find out how to use /Arduino and /setupserialport command 😦

TLauncher crashed

And we still couldn’t figure out how to make this work. Will try it again

We had a newcomer, Sabrina 🙂 She started to learn Web Programming 🙂

Sabrina learned some HTML today 🙂

She learned to show .html files with browser and also how to inspect websites and see the code 🙂

Emma finished her homework: creating a guessing number game 🙂

And then she continued to the next lesson 🙂

Tyo working hard on his Restaurant Menu 🙂

Sabrina’s little brother, Azriel is a newcomer too 🙂 He created his very first game in GameMaker today 🙂

Yes, it has different levels, and scoring too 🙂

Ok when Capt. Faris started showing this, it means that we have to wrap up! 😉

ProCodeCG Kids Regular Coding Class – 15 July 2017

Our kids regular coding class yesterday 🙂

Faris, another Captain showed us how to use IntelliJ IDE to write codes 🙂

Faris created a multiplayer TicTacToe, each player connect to the same IP

And they can play as if they’re sharing the same piece of paper like this 🙂

While Rezky catching up very fast with the ESPectro 🙂 He learned how to turn on all NeoPixel with different colors

And how to refer to each of NeoPixel to assign different colors 🙂

He also learned and modify the traffic light with pedestrian button 🙂

Rezky continued his game with GameMaker after ESPectro session ends 🙂 He’s going to create a FlappyBird-like game next week 🙂

And we had newcomers: Sabrina and his little brother Azriel 🙂

They’re given Intro to Programming to see their what things in programming interest them most 🙂

They worked in team to solve problems 🙂

And Faris, while on duty, working on many things 😀 He likes to explore things

He created this Agario game with JavaScript

He also did some coding challenges 🙂

… with J giving suggestions 🙂

J had several things to do in the class, first he wanted to redo the hardest level of Blockly Games to check his programming skill level now 🙂

J showed his designs using this software. He designed a house and the furnitures 🙂

Cinta was working on her metric conversion apps

.. and of course: lots of things in Minecraft 🙂

While Koosha, demoing the result of his research: how to set permission on Minecraft Server 🙂

This is very helpful for administering the Minecraft Server for multiplayers, because kids tend to change the mode from creative to survival and start to kill other players instead of building things once they’re in the same world 😀

The setting is saved in a file named permissions.yml under the folder Spigot/plugins/PermissionsEx/permissions.yml 🙂

Going to learn more things next week, we’re going to start new topics: C Programming and Web Programming 😉

ProCodeCG Kids Regular Coding Class – Minecraft Modding, GameMaker, Java Programming – 1 July 2017

Hello we’re back! With lots of topics going on 🙂

Today we had Nico to catch up with his Creating Games Coding Camp because he got high fever and had to be hospitalized

Capt. Faris came up with an interesting app in Java 🙂

Faris wrote a code that will remind us for performing shalat and freeze the screen for several minutes 🙂

Cinta had catch up with lots of things with RedStone in Minecraft!

ProCodeCG Kids Regular Coding Class – Intro to Programming, GameMaker, Java Programming, Minecraft Modding – 17 June 2017

We had new students today 🙂

Welcome to the class, Cello and Sasa 😉

These two spent two classes for Intro to Programming 🙂

They learned about basic programming and logics with Minecraft Hour of Code

And then they learned more about sequences and problem solving with LightBot 🙂

They seemed having a great time, they discussed the lesson together 🙂

We also had a visitor, Aisha, Ozan’s cousin 🙂 She would like to see the class and probably will join us later 🙂

Vian was still busy with his project in Minecraft 🙂

Danesh also had his own project in Minecraft 🙂 He even started to collaborate with Vian 🙂

While Rezky continued his first game in GameMaker 🙂

Tyo was busy working on two codes in Java: Attendance List App and TicTacToe 🙂

Tyo keeps progressing each week 🙂 This attendance list will save the data to a text file

Rheino was typing a JavaScript code to be run in Minecraft

ProCodeCG Kids Regular Coding Class – Minecraft Modding, Intro to Programming, Java Programming, Apps Programming – 20 May 2017

J always has projects to do in Minecraft 🙂

Vian (blue shirt), J (eyeglasses) and Gyan (in jacket) signed in to one Minecraft server and build things together

Tyo made lots of progress 🙂

He had finished ProCodeCG Attendance List Prototype in Java 🙂 We just tick on the check boxes and it will shows how many students attending, then add the date and save it to file!

Great job, Tyo! 🙂

Tyo had also finished creating Snake Game in Java

and adding some scores (a score will be added each time the Snake eat a food). Next is to print the score on the game board 😉

Gyan is very good creating things with Red Stone and gates in Minecraft 🙂

He can make almost anything, from sliding doors to traps and so much more 🙂

Rafi switched from ESPectro to Minecraft coding 🙂

He learned how to use looping to create stacks of blocks

ProCodeCG Kids Regular Coding Class – Minecraft Modding, Java Programming, GameMaker, Intro to Programming – 13 May 2017

The Open Topics Class 😉

Raihan learned Intro to Programming and GameMaker today 🙂

He learned basic programming with Scratch/Blockly-like programming

Raihan finished it in one hour

and got the online certificate yaay congrats! Then he started to learn how to create simple game with GameMaker 🙂

Cinta (green shirt) was working on Minecraft and Apps Programming today 🙂

Cinta teamed up with Nanin (yellow hijab) and create things 🙂

Nanin created lots of things today 🙂

There were some problems with her Minecraft settings

and luckily ka Jundy helped her 🙂 Thanks J 😉

While J himself created amazing things today 🙂

He created elevator with piston and teleport 🙂

Our Minecraft Modding and Java Programming Class yesterday 🙂

J! Back with lots of ideas 🙂

He’d been working on Minecraft Project with Faris and recently he had things to be discussed with Clarence 🙂

J has created lots of things in Minecraft, including those advanced things with red stone

He showed us lots of things 🙂

This is how J look like when he’s working on something 🙂 Looks like he was playing a game

He was actually developing something with redstone [Redstone is a fictional mineral in the video game Minecraft, acting as electrical wire to build electronic circuits, circuitry gates, pistons, dispensers, and other machines. – Wikipedia]

It is some kind of automated machine do shoot things (bullets or arrows)

J is challenged to create this with JavaScript coding 😉

Raul (looking away, holding a smartphone, was taking a break for a while 😀 ) had finished creating a simple game in Java

The game is to catch a randomly moving object and when it’s clicked then you’ll win or get some points 🙂

Tyo was working on the same thing as Raul’s 🙂

This is Tyo’s, he chose cupcake for the object 😀

Tyo has also finished the other game to click a randomly moving button 🙂

This is what Clarence has built in Minecraft! He has a totally cool Minecraft World/City. And being challenged to create such complex things with coding 😉
