ProCodeCG Kids Regular Coding Class – 17 Mar 2018

Hello Saturday 🙂 Our coding squad time to have fun 😉

Firaas came with lots of progress 🙂 He missed two classes but he did his homework 😉

Firaas had made lots of improvement on his BreakOut Game 🙂

Sul had to catch up with Minecraft Modding 🙂

Sul learned to create more complex structures, started with a simple block stacking (that red line behind the triangle stairs) to creating triangles

and then we added alignment and colors 🙂 This is to make sure Sul understands the concept of looping 🙂

one of work we had to do is labelling image for training. We have 100+ pics of Capt. Awa to be labelled one by one before we put it into the data set for training 😀

Note: Capt. Awa didn’t come to the class because he went for a study visit in Malaysia 🙂 He gave a presentation about the vending machine from last week 😉

So glad to have another captain joining in our research squad so we can do more things at the same time!

Fathan, is a determined game maker 🙂

Fathan worked for three straight hours improving this game 🙂

Fathan kept adding things to the game, and tried different ways to do things like displaying scores with two different ways 🙂

A very impressive game 🙂 It has every components required in this kind of game 😉

Sam is a focus fast learner

ProCodeCG Kids Regular Coding Class – 24 Feb 2018

We’re back! 🙂

Kinan was back and ready to continue the work 🙂

Kinan created nice looking RaceCar game 🙂 We had a problem with drawing so we find some pics from the internet 😀

with coins too 🙂 (Silmi helped us to create this name)

Koosha was also back after a looong time!

He brought lots of stuff 🙂

And he revisited the last projects 🙂 This one is an NFC reader circuit. He will display the reading to the LCD

We had successfully displayed the data to LCD

but not yet succeeded simulating e-money when some amount of money deducted from the card 🙂

Then Koosha moved on to the other project: elevator project 🙂

The button wouldn’t turn the LED on so he unscrewed the box and check the connection inside 😀

Capt. Faris still working hard on our TensorFlow project. Cloud computing didn’t work because internet was too slow. So we have to figure out something else.

Welcome to the class Sam 😉 Sam visited the class 2 weeks ago and today he joined the class 🙂

Nafis started to install MQTT Dash on his Android phone because he was going to learn how to control a LED with cloud 🙂

He had assembled the LED on the board but not yet finished the code 🙂 *this is some kind of cousins bonding time 😀

Firaas also created his own game with animation 🙂 He’s going to add lots of things to it as soon as he got more ideas about the game, because he invented this one by himself 🙂

The servo didn’t work so he had to debug the problem

the servo is supposed to rotate so the ultrasonic sensor mounted on top of it will read the obstacles in front of this vehicle 🙂

Silmi (purple hijab) started to create a flappy bird game 🙂

Silmi is very good at creating sprites 🙂 That’s why we keep asking her to help Kinan 😀

Tyo’s project keeps progressing

ProCodeCG – BDV – Intro to Python Programming – Day 2 & 3 – 19 Feb 2018

The last day of ProCodeCG – BDV – Intro to Python Programming 🙂

We had 42 people joining the class till the end 🙂

Today we learned more about Python simple and straight implementation, including creating GUI, text processing and a bit of simple cryptography 😉

ProCodeCG – BDV – Intro to Python Programming – Day 1 – 5 Feb 2018

Today we’re so glad to be able to share how to do Python Programming at Telkom Bandung Digital Valley 🙂

There were almost 60 people joining in so we had to split the room 🙂

We had two kids in the class 🙂

This is the first session of 4 sessions

Today we learned about IDLE and some basic Python logics 🙂 There were homeworks to be done during the week 🙂

Ain was given a task to collaborate with Awa. Ain should create the structures in Minecraft while Awa connect it to the hardware in the real world

Too bad it didn’t work yet so Ain continued his projects in Minecraft by creating more complex structures using Red Stone

Al’s TLauncher needed to be updated so it took a while before he can start. Al learned more about looping and how to add different blocks in different colors in Minecraft with JavaScript

Ozan was still debugging his work, using Nafis’ code just to find out if it work

ProCodeCG Regular Coding Class – ESPectro/Arduino Programming & Open Topics – 13 Jan 2018

Our regular coding class is always open for any kids interested to learn about technology and want to be a programmer/researcher 🙂

Capt. Awa (left) was doing a research on reading objects around for robots using ultrasonic (Capt. Fizhan on the right was just looking around LOL)

But first Awa wanted to show his latest project with ProCodeCG LED

Then moved on to the next project

apparently two cables was switched and it worked after we reversed it 😀

For next week Cinta wanted to create a game in Python 🙂 We’ll see what game it will be 🙂

Sulaiman did it very well because he’d done this with Thunkable when he was taking Creating Apps topic on the last Coding Camp 🙂

We download the requirement and setup the computer while Sulaiman was working with Minecraft Hour of Code, and when he finished, we’re ready to go 🙂

Sulaiman learned to create simple structures using JavaScript code in Minecraft

Next time he will write his own code and create more complex structures like this one 🙂

ProCodeCG Kids Regular Coding Class – ESPectro Programming & Open Topics – 6 Jan 2018

Hello Saturday class 🙂

We had a newcomer: Firaas 🙂

There was a problem with Firaas’ laptop: it wouldn’t let browser to browse 😀 Capt. Azriel (green shirt) tried to help

Capt. Faris (dark grey ProCodeCG jacket) and Capt. Ain (grey shirt) helped too

It took 3 captains and we still couldn’t figure it out 😀

So we took different laptop and let Firaas started learning basic programming with Minecraft Hour of Code peacefully 🙂

Firaas learned for 3 straight hours 🙂

So he deserved some Minecraft time 5-10 mins before the class ended 🙂

Ain learned a new thing: BlocklyCraft 🙂 A drag-and-drop Minecraft Modding programming 🙂

Capt. Faris gave Ain a jump start 🙂

Ain will be given the task to explore BlocklyCraft 🙂

Nafis was assigned to debug his project all over again 😀

While Azriel had a bad headache LOL

We were trying to figure out this code to create a triangle in Minecraft using BlocklyCraft

We had tried every possible ways

And yet it still didn’t work

And kept giving us false result :((

So we called Faris for help

And he found out that something was wrong with the converter and it kept crashing the server

Apparently the converter from Blockly to JavaScript didn’t work smoothly.

So we assigned another task to Azriel: creating structures with RedStone

And our research, conducted by Capt. Faris had shown lots of progress

now the algorithm can count objects

So we add another data sets

we used bigger data set for higher precision

Now we can do Minecraft Modding just by drag-and-drop 🙂
