thailand

We went to Thailand for 2 weeks in August. It was amazing! We spent a few days in Bangkok, a few days in Chiang Mai, and finished off the trip in the Phi Phi islands! We rode scooters, visited lots of temples, played with tigers, rode elephants, got $3 massages everyday, ate the BEST food and checked so many things off our bucket list!

big news!!

Imageso probably no one even reads this anymore but i wanted to share some exciting news! trent and i are engaged! I'm completely in love and could not be happier. i seriously walk around school with the cheesiest grin at all times. trent is amazing and i can't believe how lucky i am and can't wait to start our life together!

we have been together for about a year and a half so we have been talking about getting married for some time now, he has been working in texas all summer and i have been in utah doing summer school so we have been apart a little over 2 months which has been so sad, but anyway this past weekend i met him in los angeles to celebrate his birthday!

i had no idea that he was going to propose because he had to talk to my dad in person and i knew he would not have a chance to before i got to CA because he was getting there just the day before me! so thursday i flew in and we spent time with the andersons (and i got to see the father of the bride house, those who know me know that is one of my all time favorite movies, so that was exciting), and friday was trents birthday! so we went to ventura and spent the day at the beach and rode bikes and had a magical day, but i thought this was all normal because we always have a magical time together and because it was his birthday.

so we went to a nice dinner, and then rode bikes to the pier. we got to the end of the pier and this is where trent said he originally was planning to propose but there were so many people around he didn't (which i am happy about because i get embarrassed with any sort of attention) so we went to walk on the beach and trent got down on one knee under the pier at the most beautiful time of day! it was perfect!!!

saturday we met up with my family at the beach in san onofre and spent the day with our families, it was the BEST weekend! i am on cloud nine!

christmas

hi so i have had quite a bit of extra time on my hands lately, i am in the process of going back to school, to become a dental hygienist (!!) and i am in a weird transition stage. so here are a few photos of break this year. i got to go home for almost 3 weeks and it was fantastic. my very best friend since birth got married on the first day of break and i stayed in utah for the wedding. then headed home to san diego where i basically ate, slept, and spent every minute playing with my family. ty ty left for his mission at the beginning of january and it was so good to spent so much time with him before he left. we also had lots of cousins in town, they rented my grandmas old beach house in del mar, it brought back so many memories playing at the beach all day at the house, the weather was amazing! trent came down for tys farewell including more family, and i went up to la to spent a few days with his family as well. we also went to mexico for christmas eve, a tradition that has always been my favorite. it was a wonderful vacation. i am very blessed to be able to go home to such a beautiful place and amazing people.

ventura camping

a few weekends ago, a few friends and i spontaneously decided we needed to feel the suns warmth and headed to california. we spent a day in la, camped in ventura, and went to my house for a day. it was a quick trip but we fit in so much and had such a blast.

a little video of my adventure abroad

It has been two years since I returned from my Jerusalem study abroad, and I still love it just as much! I finally had the time to put together an imovie! It was so fun looking thru all the videos! Some of these are my friend Catie's videos, the majority of my own footage is on my old computer in San Diego and I am too impatient to wait till I go home to get them. So here is a little recap of my adventure.

Warning- I am VERY new to imovie. You will probably be able to tell but this is one of my first projects.
