Christmas Morning!
Image
Image
The kiddos all got bikes this year...we hid them in the TV room so they wouldn't be the first thing they saw Christmas morning. After the gifts were opened and the wrapping paper started to settle, Steve used our code phrase "I'll be right back I need to use the restroom." yes, very original, and somewhat confusing...do you "really" need to use it? hahaha Then Steve would holler, "You guys gotta come and see this." leading them to the TV room. It worked out pretty darn well. EVERYONE was so excited. Noah has wanted a new bike and has been saving for one, so when he saw HIS NEW bike, he started crying, which of course tugs at the heart strings and my tears began to flow a bit. It was so sweet. Ava hasn't quite learned to ride a bike and we weren't quite sure if we should get her one, since Steve got a "tag along" which hooks to his bike so she can stay with us when we go on our rides. We got a little strider bike for her from my sis, which Ava was NOT thrilled about. It was red. Hahaha well maybe we should have gotten her a real bike, oh well.

with our one of a kind "tumble weed Christmas tree"
in the back ground.
When Steve's parents came to visit, there was a HUGE tumble weed that blew right in the middle of our front yard. It sat there for days and then one evening the kids told me to come look outside. As I peered out the window I could see that Grandma Tootsie and Reed had decorated "our tumble weed" with glow sticks. I was laughing so hard! So from that inspired décor, Steve thought it would be hilarious to build our very our tumble weed tree and decorate it with lights and even a star at the top. So we did! Many neighbors and drive byers laughed and marveled at what a magnificent lawn ornament we had. Making memories!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! 2017

Image
This is what makes our Christmas
Merry and Bright!
I LOVE this man!
I am blessed to say that he is mine for eternity!
I am grateful for his devotion to our family, the way in which he honors
his Heavenly Father and Savior, Jesus Christ,
and the light in which he exudes on a daily basis.
I am in awe of his ever ready willingness to serve those around him,
and his desire to work hard in whatever he does.
I love his positive attitude, though on occasion
my jealousy may ooze in hopes that I could be as positive.
This man LOVES his family and I am forever THANKFUL!!!

NOAH
Image
This is our 12yr old (almostly 13 year old haha)
He plays Football, basketball & baseball
Noah enjoys watching youtube favorites: Shonduras,
Good Mythical Morning, DevinSuperTramp, Dudeperfect
He plays piano, though doesn't quite like ticklin' the ivorys
He is in 7th grade, sings in the choir and enjoys his careers
and language arts classes.
Noah is quite the funny man. He loves to tease his mom and
pal around with his dad,
and can usually be found sitting in on the adult chit chat.
Noah likes to eat and still has a fascination with the word
"chimichanga"

REED
Image
Our 11 year old happy man
Reed is one sweet guy who is willing to make those around
him happy. He is helpful and kind and is ever ready
to share a hug with his mama.
Reed plays flag football, basketball and baseball
He plays the piano and I think enjoys it most of the time.
He is quite the creator in the kitchen and enjoys making desserts
whenever he gets the chance.
He definitely has a sweet tooth.
And though he doesn't like a lot of foods (aka veggies)
He has become quite the dinner table warrior,
trying and braving the unknowns and untouchables.

JAMISON
Image
This is our 9 year old super man
He may not have height but this guy has the muscles of a man!
He has ninja skills and can take you down with his masterful agile ways.
Jamison enjoys playing basketball, baseball and flag football.
He has found a new interest, thanks to his fellow friends (Lailie and Carter)
Floor ball! he has been a few times and is quite the competitor.
Legos, Pokémon, Beanie boos and origami, are a few of his other interests.
ART is a major talent this guy holds.
He loves to sketch dragons and I look forward to his art work.
He is our little engineer and a creator of all many things.
Focus, passion, determination and perfection are what makes this little man tick!
He's is strong in so many ways and yet still wants to cuddle with his mom.

PAIGE
Image
This little lady just turned 7 and is already looking forward to turning 8,
when she can get baptized. I keep telling her to enjoy today
and her birthday will be here soon enough.
Slow down my little sweet pea. sniff! sniff!
Paige LOVES gymnastics and has quite the talent for it!
She amazes me for her persistence and passion for it.
She got her ears pierced for her birthday.
She has been on a "no taking pictures" of her kick, but I managed
to capture one that says Paige!
She loves to draw and create all sorts of arts and crafts.
She is always pulling out the craft box
or concocting something with her brother Jamison.
She loves to play with friends and is quite the duo with her little sis Ava.
She is a sweet heart and those blue eyes melt ya every time!

AVA
Image
This ray of sunshine is 4 and the twinkle in her eyes is a gift from God.
She is a joy! She is my little side kick, and next year she will be heading
off to kindergarten. I think we will both go into mourning.
She dances and sings around the house as if music is always playing in her little heart.
She loves to play with dolls, dress up, wear makeup
and play with Paige and the neighbor friends, Austin and Reagan.
She makes many attempts of finding moms phone to look at pictures or watch shows.
She is also pretty sneaky when it comes to finding gum.
She gives the best hugs and kisses!
Ava is definitely the little lady of the house and all can attest!

We are truly blessed with another year of happiness and
a heart full of love and gratitude for our Savior, Jesus Christ!

Paige- BiRtHdaY, Gymnastics, Who party!

BIRTHDAY GIRL!
Our little sweet 'P' turned 7
For her birthday she chose Black Bear Diner for breakfast.
We played hooky and took all the kiddos to eat before taking them to school.
She opened presents, ate yummy food and then after dropping the kids off to school,
we took Paige and Ava on a little adventure to the mall
where we surprised
Paige with getting her ears pierced!
Paige has been asking me for some time
and I had it in my head that I'd wait until at least 10 years old.
(I was 11, that's the least I could do) but then as I thought more and more about it...
what's the big deal? It's her birthday!
We took her into Claire's, looked around at all the cute jewelry and toys,
and then I said "Paige do you want to get your ears pierced right now?"
I think she was a little confused, nervous and unsure about the whole idea,
now that we were in the store. But she liked the idea and went for it.
I think if I were to do it again...
I'd have her open up a box of earrings and tell her,
"You can get your ears pierced!" But Oh well.
She picked out some cute butterfly studs, cuddled the teddy bear,
and the two ladies pierced both ears at the same time.
Tough cookie! No tears! She was excited!

Later that day Paige had her gymnastics exhibition.
She did such a great job! Her normal teacher (Megan) was sick and couldn't be there,
so it wasn't the same format where the girls earned ribbons,
but they showed their routines and had fun.
At one point the assistant asked them to show their "flat backs" off the springboard.
Paige was first up. With a bit of hesitation, she ran full speed,
jumped off the board, twisted in the air flopping onto her back.
It was clearly "something" they hadn't learned, a one of a kind Paige move.
The assistant made sure she was ok
and then proceeded to direct her as to what to do. Then Paige nailed it!

After the exhibition, we headed to Heather and Jon's
where Heather and Kate were throwing a "Who" party.
So here is Ava's Lou Who hair...

GRATITUDE January 2026

I decided to start the new year off with a BIT of GRATITUDE!!! "Acknowledging the good that you already have in your life is the found...
