Messes happen so much easier than cleaning

It is hot in Vegas... and I am told it is just going to get worse... oh well, I will be preggo in the sprinkler this summer.
Life is good. Nothing to exciting to mention, I am busy helping out friends and tend to have a housefull. It is nice, and frustrating. Randy is on swings so finding time between the kids and him working to shop (kid free) is like trying to find a needle in a hay stack, but we make do. I have however found time to be crafty, and majorly NEST! I have curtians and the crib bumber made. Next is the car seat cover and a boppy cover. I am finding it cheaper to re cover items then buy new ones. I also have the room figured out, now I just need time to paint, and someone talented and keeping tape staight for stripes. This little man is going to be so spoiled.! The girls give him kisses every night, and talk about their bother already. It is hard to believe I am 25 weeks already... I think this has gone by so fast.
I am also proud to admit that after 5 months in Vegas, I have finally added 8 new friends to facebook... Okay, so that is kinda lame, but... that ment I met some people. True, I have only seem most of these people at church, but I have to start somewhere. I feel so much like a hermit. But It is getting to me. Randy was running late the other day, and I had NO clue who I could call to watch the kids so I could go to my appointment. Being harmonal does not help this situations at all either, so I am trying.... Might have to start ignoring Randy some, but I will make a good friend (one not moving soon) before this baby comes!
Today was fun. When 3 of the 5 kids at my house were sleeping, and the other was distracted, Kim and I played "beauty shop." She combed my hair, and painted my nails. She also did my make up. I had GREEN eyeshadow all around my eyes... I looked like a Zombie or something. But she said I was beautiful, and went off about how much fun she was having. Those statements made it totally worth it. I am so lucky to have such wonderful daughters.

I guess that is all for now... someday I will get my computer fixed to load pictures....

oops

well, my computer is not uploading pictures from my camera, and I have been waiting for that to fix before I update, but... now I am really late so. In March we celebrated Nikki's 3rd birthday. Wow, time has gone by fast. She is so big. She can wear most of Kimbers clothes, and only stands about 2 inches shorter. She is at 92% for height and 80% for weight. Not chubby, but thick. I am so surprised what by baby can do. She is so adventurous, and a dare devil. I am constantly worried that she is going to break a bone, or crack her head open. But she is just the sweetest and her big puppy dog eyes seem to get her out of a lot of trouble.

I finally made it to the doctor (twice now). The baby is healthy and I have gotten some great pictures. Issue is... we still don't know the sex (grumble... 20 weeks and not a clue) and my last appointment was on April fools, and the doctor thinks there might be 2... I sure hope not, in fact I don't really think so, but... the last ultra sound left questions. Now the ultra sound was not anything fancy, and we were just taking a peak at the baby. So... I still have 10 days before I know more. I have to admit I am a little worried, but we will take what we get! I am defiantly showing and feel huge. Randy says I need to stop complaining... but. I guess It just so different because People Know I am pregnant. My last two No one but family know I was pregnant until I was over 20 weeks.

Randy is loving his job. I couldn't be happier about that, and I am LOVING having him home EVERYDAY! I have to admit that is sure keeping busy with finding projects to work on in the garage. We have collected a FREE 350 short block, and 1999 Jimmy that needs and engine rebuild... and that is just the start. But I always wanted a man who could do things his self... now it is just partly a curse. ;-) We smile about, and take deep breaths.

We have been called to teach the 14 and 15 year olds at church, but tend to have the 12 and 13 year olds too... kind of a big class, but I am starting to feel more comfortable in it. They seem to actually be paying attention (when candy is involved). I am a little worried about next month. I have been asked to sing in church (haven't done that in a LONG time) and teach Relief Society (NEVER done that.... in fact i have only spent about 6 months in Relief Society total).... But I love the ward, and am slowing making friends. Well, that is my update. I wish I had pictures, but hopefully soon.

Kimber turned 5

Image

Where has the time gone. I can not believe my little girl is 5!!!

She is so fun! Yesterday I sang to her when she woke up, and got "No Mom, I need my cake and decorations before you can sing." All day yesterday I heard "I am 5 so I can do...." She even informed me that she was read for school. "4 year olds go to joy school, and 5 year olds go to school." Is she really starting school this fall??? Wow. I am just so proud of her. She has truly grown up.

She folds her own laundry and even puts it away. She helps Sweep and Vacuum. she is even great and cleaning up her toy room. I am so amazed and this little girl.

She now stands 45 inches tall. and weighs almost a pound per inch (my scale has not been found in the unpacking... but I am sure she is just over 40 lbs now.)

I am so grateful for to chance to be a mother to her, and her sister. They are truly amazing children of God.

mornings...a simple joy

We have had a busy week/weekend. with unpacking, and trying to find a life so we wont go crazy with doing the SAME thing everyday (joys of getting settled.) But this weekend, my kids ended up being up until almost 10 every night. I was hopefully for them to sleep in, but they only gave me an extra 20 minuets instead of the 3 hours I hoped they would make up for. Today though after 3 late nights they actually slept until 9. True it is only 2 hours, and not the 3 I was hoping for. But I was able to get so much done and enjoy the peace and quiet. those extra 2 hours!!! YAY!! I love it when I can experience a simple joy like that!

Baby Number 3

So... I have been known to not tell people I am pregnant until I know what the sex is, and in my 3rd trimester. This time is a bit different.

I have known I wanted another baby for a while, it has seemed weird to have such a big gap. Well, with everything going on I was even beginning to think our family was complete. When we got to Nellis and moved into temporary housing I spent more then half my time in prayer. I was so confused. I knew we were where we needed to be... but everything else was a jumble. We were looking at renting and buying off base, Told if we moved on base we would have to wait MONTHS and then more then likely end up in old housing that was really run down. We also knew that we would get a 3 bedroom... which would be fine, except we knew if we had more kids we would have 2... and probably both in the next4 years. So... what the heck were we supposed to do???

I really felt like we needed to live on base, but I was horrified of the wait and being in limbo even longer. We pre-qualified for a loan and seriously started house hunting. Randy was given 8 days to house hunt, so we began our hunt. January 7th. This was only 10 days after we got here.

Well, The night before Randy started leave I was late... about a week, but I had decided I was moving, and stressed so I wasn't to worried. But we decided to check to make sure it wasn't the other... well, I took 2 test and passed them both. The next day we looked at 10 houses, with none of them feeling right, and that afternoon we walked into the military housing office just to see exactly how long the wait was.

We learned that there was NO wait. We could move into a 3 or 4 bedroom first thing Monday! We mentioned that we had JUST found out that we were pregnant and hadn't been to a doctor. They said that with no wait list they would take our word and move us into a 4 bedroom....

So, answers to 2 prayers: where to live, and what to do about our family size. I wanted to cry I felt so blessed. All these months of worry and confusion, but still knowing we were doing the right thing. And it worked out so well and easy. I was just so amazed.

Well, complete strangers were figuring out that with 2 kids the only way we would have gotten into a 4 bed room was if I had Killed a rabbit.... so That is why we are announcing so early. Not only are the people we care most about away from us, but it just doesn't seem fair that people we just met know and our friends didn't.

Now, my only worry is that Kimber has been praying for Twins, a boy and a girl.... still to be determined.

I am due sometime around September 7th... we think it would be fun to have the baby on 9-10-11... but by time I am that far along I know I wont care. So wish me luck!

Life in Las Vegas

We are getting closed to done unpacking. Some rooms are ready for me to think about hanging up pictures! It is getting so exciting. I thought I would list some highlights of what has been going on:

*Spent an hour driving around Las Vegas trying to find a particular store (it was only 15 miles away)

*Kimber is my big helper... she has started making her bed in the morning, and cleans up her toys when asked. She even folds her own laundry and puts it a way for me.

*Nikki is getting so BIG!! I cant believe how fast she is growing. She is officially in Size 4, and tries her hardest to stay caught up to Kimber when playing.

*Randy was a genius and built shelves over our "tech center" so we would not have to fit EVERYTHING in a small space! (I really used the word genius)

*Goal to have house done by Superbowl cause I invited people over (Smart right??)

*Randy likes to tell the girls we are going crazy, when they ask were we are going. He was not with us and I answered "the store." Nikkie corrected me, "No, Mommy, we are going crazy!"

*Kimber greets anyone in uniform, "Hi! You work with my Daddy!"

That is some.... I am trying to get better at blogging, so I apologize for lack of updates.

Nellis

Well, life is maybe calming down. We are here at Nellis AFB, and things are falling into place. We were in Temporary Lodging for only 12 days, and when we walked into housing (day 9) we found out there was no wait list for our rank for housing, 2 houses were open, and we just needed to hear from the other family looking at them which one they wanted. So... we waited until 4:10 when we were given our address, but could sign a contract or move in until the next Monday. So now, we have been here for 3 days. It is coming together the best it can. The girls have their bed up, as well as we haven been given a bed to use while we wait for our house-hold goods to make it from Alaska.

Our house is beautiful. We have a 4 bedroom, 2.5 baths, 1890 sq ft home. None of interior walls touch the other family's side of the duplex. It is only our Garages that share a wall. Randy is excited for a two car garage. I have a Wonderful kitchen, it even has a pantry, and a broom closet. I LOVE my laundry room. It has a utility sink, and lots of cabinets, even a place to put my freezer. The rooms are good size, and the floor plan works well, especially since we have no furniture. The only downer is that it has been smoked in and it Smells. I have been using vinegar and baking soda to try to get the oder out; but it is a slow process.

The ward is amazing. It has 164 kids in primary (not including nursery) and 4 nurseries. Kimber loves having so many kids around. The ward is also really welcoming, and I have been blessed with a gal who already has taken me in (I get to do laundry, and gave me a vacuum, and made me dinner.)

I am excited about this new adventure. I am also extremely grateful that Heavenly Father has been taking such good care of me, and listening to my prayers. He has also given me much needed patients, and tons of comfort.

Thank you everyone for all your love and support. I love my friends and family in Alaska, and Kansas, and couldn't have done all this with out you.

Pictures to come!
