"Bike lessons are better than swimming lessons!" -Ethan

So, you may know her at Tiffany Thornton, but we'd like to call her our "teacher." Tiffany was "hired" (she's cheap, it only took a few pizzas and drinks) to attempt to teach Kedzie and if time allowed, Ethan, to ride their bikes without training wheels.  Well, Ethan just thought bike lessons were way better than swimming lessons and all he did was ride around her culdesac practicing with his training wheels! It was a great "lesson" for him!  I'm not kidding. He's not ready yet.

Kedzie was with Tiffany for forty-five minutes and the most amazing "teacher" ever, taught my little girl to ride her bike with out training wheels.  She truly has a talent.  Travis and I have both given it a shot, but Tiffany made it happen.  With her patience, love, small bike and culdesac, she IS better than swimming lessons!

So, every day since, we've been on a bike ride and Kedzie gets better each day.
She loves it. Ethan loves it.  Alex loves being outside and I love the walk.
So, we are all in all, happy about our new found talent.

What do you think it will cost to have her teach Ethan?!

Some family shots!

So, I've been dying for some reason, to get some great shots of my kids.  I checked out some photographers and they just don't seem to work for one reason or another.  Mostly because we can't just buy their shots for a reasonable price and then Travis could do the photoshopping.  Anyway, so we headed out on Friday night to take some shots of our own.  Some are good, some not so good, but here is a bit of a preview.  I was really happy with the shots of the kids and that was what I was going for in the first place.  Their personalities and joy for life have been captured.  I feel like they are all at a perfect age right now and I wanted to have a photographic memory of it all.  So, here are some shots, enjoy!

Ft. Collins Temple...Before Construction

So, I heard from my friends Camille and Kerri that their Bishops had given them a challenge to take a family picture of their respective, new temples...before, during and after construction.  I have always though that would be such a great idea.  However, I never imagined that our family would be able to participate in such an event.  Boy was I wrong!  This April, President Monson announced that the church is building a Temple in Ft. Collins, Colorado.  It is about 42 miles North of our house.  Travis and I couldn't be more excited.  I'm glad I won't have to drive South through traffic as often to Temple in Littleton and I'm so grateful for the chance my kids will have to watch a House of the Lord come to fruition.  I'm also excited to participate in the open house and hopefully have my non member friends (that's you Thelma!) go to the open house with my family so they can understand what it's like to go to the Temple.

So, here are the first pictures...before construction.  It's an exciting time for the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
