Here it is the New Year of 2016 and we are in Yuma, AZ in a rain storm!  But back home they are having not only rain but freezing rain that closed schools today, and lots of snow in the mountains which we really need.  Glad that we can come where it is warmer, as right now we are only going to be in the 60's but with the sunshine on the front porch it is in the 70's.  It will warm up again so if any of you get tired of the weather come see us!

Fishing

I finally got talked into going out for an ocean fishing trip which lasts 5 to 6 hours.  Didn't get any fish but the sunrise going out make it worthwhile

Time Flys

This summer has been really great weather wise as far as lots of sunny warm days, but yes like all the West we do need more rain.  We have had lots of friends and family come to enjoy the coast and Roger has had lots of fishing but not as much catching this year because of warm ocean or windy ocean.  Enjoyed a trip to Whistler BC to watch son Darin compete in the Iron Man which he went to Finish not Win,

and finish he did, so now that is one more thing off his bucket list.  Son Steven came to visit and so we had all four sons together for a weekend which was great.  Won't be long before we start getting ready to head South, so friends and family think about coming to visit us in Yuma!!

Good Time

 Took an anniversary trip through Eastern AZ and came down from an awesome scenic highway and at the bottom you go right through this huge copper mine.  Quite the views

Winter Project

 Added to the Patio Cover and then added shutters to Casita, so now cars can be undercover

He likes to look like Santa when we get to Yuma so here is the before and after and I'll be glad when the after finally grows in again

Fun Weekend

Attended the World Beard and Mustache contest in Portland and son Curtis won 3rd place in the natural mustache division, and grandson Chris won 4th in the Amish beard division.  There were 14 or 15 categories and Curtis' kids and grandkids got into the act to be a cheering support section!  Fun time, and I couldn't believe how creative some of the men were in what their facial hair looked like, but also the costumes they wore.  You can check out the winners on World Beard and Mustache Championship web site and also the USA today app.  Last photo of 2 in the Musketeers division

Graduation

Both Parker and Charlie graduated from High School and Parker also graduated with a 2 year degree at college and will be attending University of Washington in Seattle, and Charlie has submitted her mission papers so exciting times in the Cole Family.
