{"id":2518,"date":"2021-10-07T15:04:21","date_gmt":"2021-10-07T14:04:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/reaseheathbusinesshub.com\/course\/construction-plant-copy\/"},"modified":"2021-10-07T15:08:39","modified_gmt":"2021-10-07T14:08:39","slug":"bus-and-coach-engineering","status":"publish","type":"course","link":"https:\/\/reaseheathbusinesshub.com\/course\/bus-and-coach-engineering\/","title":{"rendered":"Bus and Coach Engineering"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Reaseheath delivers bus and coach apprenticeship training for industry leading company First Bus.<\/p>\n<p>As a bus and coach engineering apprentice you will predominantly inspect, diagnose, repair and test equipment and systems on buses and coaches from different manufacturers.<\/p>\n<p>At college you will learn the practical theory in our new Reaseheath Apprenticeship Engineering Academy.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Level<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Level 3 apprenticeship<\/p>\n<p><strong>Duration of course<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>3 years<\/p>\n<p><strong>What qualifications will the apprentice gain?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship in Bus and Coach Engineering Technician<\/li>\n<li>Additional training is provided in a number of disciplines<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.reaseheath.ac.uk\/further-education\/choosing-the-right-course-for-you\/gcse\/\">Functional Skills or GCSE in English\u00a0and Maths<\/a>\u00a0depending on previous qualifications<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Study Information<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>How to inspect, diagnose and record defects to the applicable standard<\/li>\n<li>Diagnostic principles based on logical, analytical interpretation leading to solving problems<\/li>\n<li>Emerging bus and coach technologies and the impact they will have on the knowledge and skills technicians will require in the future<\/li>\n<li>Current Health and Safety requirements and workshop practices<\/li>\n<li>How to carry out high quality \u00a0road worthiness inspections specific to their trade<\/li>\n<li>How the business works from an operational perspective and where their role fits within the business and how they contribute to the success of the organisation<\/li>\n<li>Customer expectations delivering a safe, clean, reliable service<\/li>\n<li>The requirements of attending and assessing roadside incidents<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.reaseheath.ac.uk\/further-education\/choosing-the-right-course-for-you\/gcse\/\">Functional Skills or GCSE in English\u00a0and Maths<\/a>\u00a0depending on previous qualifications<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>How much will this course cost?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Apprenticeships are funded through government and employer contributions. If the apprentice is:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>16-18 working for a small business (&lt;50) their training will be fully funded*<\/li>\n<li>19+ or working for a Medium size business (50+) an employer contribution may be required<\/li>\n<li>Working for a large business or organisation (Payroll of \u00a33m+) training is funded from employers Digital Apprenticeship Service Account<br \/>\n*small businesses who employ an apprentice between 16-18 may be eligible to receive a financial government incentive<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Transport<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We offer a high-quality college bus service which collects over 1,400 students every day from across Cheshire and surrounding areas.
